Was clean and quiet. Modern room with all the needed facilities. Walking distance from the centre, near forum, the high street which contains THE most wonderful of cakes and yummy foods. Has a lift which is amazing for those end of the day tired legs. I loved it and I recommend. Also if needed, staff will clean and refresh your room if needed, just ask. I had a room with a little balcony, with a lots of space, shower and modern decor. Staff is great at responding to messages and xtra needs. Thank you Hotel Do Mercado. Only one thing I would really recommend for people that can’t see very well, 😊 like me… strips placed on the more tricky steps on the stairs to make sure if a step is missed there’s not a fall. Because the stairs are beautiful BUT seem to merge all in one around the bend, I just had to make sure I used it carefully. That’s my only recommendation. The rest was great and staff was amazing and knowledgeable. Definitely my new space to stay on my future stays!

This quirky little hotel is bright and cheery. The breakfast was plentiful. Staff was very friendly and offered a map with suggestions and discount for the Moliceiros. Location is fantastic! Right beside the market and an easy walk to the canals and shopping. Our room was clean and bathroom had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Overall, this little hotel offers great value for the money. We're budget conscious travellers and loved it.

The wifi signal wasn't very strong, so we had to come down to the public area to use my laptop. The staff rebooted for us. It was sufficient for our cell phones though.

I was able to access my room very early. The staff was very helpful. They have a Nespresso machine and the price for coffee is great with many options to choose from. The hotel itself is located just across the street from fruit and vegetable market hence the name Mercado.

There was very little i didn't like. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to Aveiro. Pretty much everything is within walking distance.

The hotel was in the centre of Aveiro, and it was very clean and comfortable.The staff were brilliant..The breakfast was very good which included cereals, fruit, pancakes, rolls, pastries, coffee etc. Aveiro is a beautiful town about an hour by train from Porto. It is called a little Venice and it certainly lives up to its name. Aveiro is a little gem to visit, with beautiful restaurants and walks by the canal.

Nothing, would stay here again.

EXCELLENT LOCATION right in city center (steps from the river, market and main road). Hotel and room were very clean and it offered great value at an affordable price. The delicious continental breakfast had plenty if great options and was well worth the 5€/each.

Bathroom plumbing needs maintenance! Drains (sink and shower) were slow to drain and water would easily leak out of the shower doors, making showers uncomfortable despite the spa like bathroom design.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the hotel, and I'd love to share my experience. Reception/Check-In: The staff were welcoming and very attentive. They provided me with a map of the area highlighting the main attractions, which I found incredibly useful. Although Aveiro is not huge, I was new to the area, and the map made me feel more confident about exploring the city. Room: My room was a delightful surprise, matching the photos perfectly. It was airy and, while not super spacious, it was perfectly formed. The room was impeccably clean and well-appointed with modern amenities that catered to all my needs. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep, and the availability of extra pillows was a bonus. I always feel a bit shy to ask for extra pillows, but in this case, I didn’t need to. What can I say? I love to sleep with plenty of pillows! Location: The hotel's location is very good. It's not exactly in the centre but only about 5 minutes from where the Moliceiro boats are located. It offers easy access to the centre, a shopping centre, and lots of dining options within a 5-10 minute walk. I chose not to have breakfast at the hotel as I love to go to local coffee shops, so I can’t comment on that. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting. It’s a very good value for money option that promises comfort, convenience, and attentive staff.

Perfect location in Aveiro city center, the room is small but functional, great value for money if you stay one night or a longer period to enjoy splendid Costa Nova beaches that are just 15 min drive away. We took breakfast for 5 euro per person and it was worth it: cold cuts, pastry and a coffee was delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful, we recommend :)

Compared to the very compact room at the hotel in Lisbon, the room at this hotel was larger and the price was lower, which we couldn't help but like. The European breakfast was very good. You can also pay for some snacks at the reception outside of breakfast time. The hotel's location is within walking distance of local attractions. A leisurely walk is highly recommended. The hotel staff is very friendly. A pleasant gentleman at the reception recommended a good restaurant for dinner. The veal steak there was simply amazing. However, the traditional bean soup with octopus chunks might be an acquired taste. ;-)

There was some construction work taking place on the side of the hotel where our room was located. But reconstruction should happen at some point. Guests should be attentive to the check-in time at the hotel, as the staff is not available 24/7.

Amazing two star hotel in the center of the city of Aveiro. The room was impeccably clean with a very light and good fragrance. It was a small but incredibly cosy room with all the amenities fully functional. The staff was super nice and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast buffet was marvelous with pancakes, croissants, bread, fruit and plenty of good stuff. I would definitely come back!

The hotel is very central in Aveiro, everything can be easily reached by foot. The room was spacious and very clean, even had a small balcony. The breakfast had various options. The staff was very friendly and gave good recommendations (including restaurants). My stay was absolutely perfect and I hope to come back one day!
