Staff were very helpful when I asked to check that the fridge was working, reception booked a tuktuk tour for me, there was a welcome glass of port; the garden koi fish pond was very pleasant to relax with the port. There is a fabulous cafe/pastry shop right across from the hotel, as well as a laundromat and grocery store, which was handy for water and fruit items. Location was great for me because I like quiet spaces at the end of a busy touring day. It’s a little walk to the town center. AC was good and the elevator was very welcome.

Bathtub is quite slippery and without hand safety bars and so It was difficult for me to get out of the tub. I did slip and bruised my underarm a bit.

We chose this hotel because of its close proximity to the station, and relatively small size. It instantly appealed to us with the warm and friendly welcome - a bonus that to our surprise our room was ready in spite of us arriving before the check-in time. It reminded us of a typically charming and traditional resort-type of a hotel. It was also situated in a peaceful neighbourhood but just a few minutes walk away from the shops and tourist areas. A particular bonus was that unlike other 'traditional' hotels, which can have a tired appearance and unloved appearance, the Veneza was modern and appealing with a stylish and quality appearance. We particularly loved the intimate bar area. If we return to Aveiro the Veneza will be our first choice.

Charming, helpful and friendly staff. They resolved all our questions regarding the surroundings and the city information. Good breakfast. The receptionist offered us a parking space in the garage - take it if it's available. The surrounding streets are often overparked, and finding a free parking space can be challenging.

The rooster in the neighbour's backyard was extremely loud, also early in the morning. The front rooms faced the street, and it was impossible to open the windows due to the noise. The garage is to pay - no problem at all - but the places are tiny and difficult to park with a larger car.

Clean bathroom with plenty of space, room was comfortable, great breakfast (included depending which rate you choose). Secure parking garage with space for motorbikes and/or bicycles. Good wifi. Staff were very friendly and helpful! Location is ideal - minutes (on foot) from the train station, and also minutes from the downtown/central area.

I could see someone slipping in the shower/tub--it did feel slippery, but I also did not look to see if there was a non-skid mat somewhere. On the positive side: I'm sure some will really appreciate the bench-seat at the end of the tub.

The property is well appointed, comfortable and well located within the city of Aveiro, you can walk or take a short drive to most places and the train station is an easy 2 block walk. The staff were so welcoming, helpful and kind, just great! I cannot say enough good things about them! In addition I lost my bracelet in the lobby and the staff have been so great coordinating with me to mail it back to me in the USA. Really a wonderful stay and experience! I highly recommend.

I have nothing negative to say about this hotel, it was great!

The location itself is just perfect. Not too close to the main street, which means no noise and not too far away, which means we can walk everywhere. Not too expensive and has everything we would need for a 1 or 2 week stay.

The shower and tub had some damage which prevented to use to it's maximum. The bathroom amenities need some upgrading. The shower gel should be in a dispenser rather than a samples bottle.

The room, including bathroom, was spacious and clean. Wifi was great. The patio / backyard is very cozy and beautiful. Convenient parking in the building. Located right across a self service laundry and a breakfast place. Within walking distance from the center.

The tv was a bit smaller than what you'd expect, although that didn't bother me a lot. There is one desk in the room where one could work, but there is no working space as far as I know of downstairs, for when both people want to work.

Veneza Hotel is conveniently located just three minutes easy walk from both the coach and railway stations. Ideal if arriving from Porto, Coimbra or Lisbon. The hotel is situated in a fairly quiet street but with easy access to a variety of cafes, bars and shops. Hotel Veneza is very clean and our room was comfortable and quite spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were happy last time we stayed here and glad that we picked Hotel Veneza again.

Not a criticism but to be aware. The main tourist sites are about a fifteen minute walk away.

Due to road construction in the area, it was very difficult to access the hotel and parking. This was not the hotel's fault by any means, although it would have been very helpful to know this ahead of time, along with some instructions on how to bypass the construction zone and access the right streets to get to the hotel. Not a big deal at all, but some info ahead of time would have been super helpful.

The location was great with a five minute walk from the train station and about 15 to the canal area. The hotel was comfortable and clean, but a little dated. The beds were cozy and there was a mini fridge (always appreciated), lots of hangers and good a/c. The shower was decent with shower gel/shampoo and soap. The staff was friendly and spoke English. They stored our luggage for a few hours after checkout.

The only outlets were three on a small charging strip. Two lights in the bedroom were not working so it was a bit dark. The wi-fi was not very good.
