1. arrival very smooth; room ready ahead of time and reception staff very friendly and helpful. they did a great job of showing us around and explaining how things worked; 2. room was well appointed; clean; and had a great view of the Monastery of Batalha (Mosteiro de Santa Maria da Vitória) through the window(or not as the windows both opened up to provide a totally unobstructed view for picture taking); 3. booked supper in the hotel for the first night and were not disappointed. Wait staff Rui and Diana were super busy on Friday night but notwithstanding that provide exceptional and informed service along with wonderful smiles. Food was superb especially the desserts. Wine suggestion was well received. 4. Breakfast both days was very good.(thanks especially to Diana). 5. Second night's dinner was also good especially the starter and the orange salad(neither to be missed). Rui and Melanie were very good at assisting with information and describing choices and each have a good sense of humour. 6, Diana was assisting with breakfast both days and made sure that everything was fresh and replenished. 7. All the wait staff made you feel at home and had an easy professional way of providing excellent service. 8. Hotel is a great spot to tour from as it is close to Tomar (with amongst other things the absolutely massive Convent of Christ with its strong ties to the Templars); Leiria and its Castle; Nazaré (with its expansive beach; fishing industry and historic buildings).

- Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. When arranging dinner and breakfast, the staff took extra effort to inform us in advance of a larger group they were expecting and tried to recommend a time slot that would reduce the group's impact on our experience. - Located right next to the Batalha monastery, we could even see it from our room. - Spacey room with comfortable beds and a clean and comfortable bathroom. - The hotel's restaurant was very good, and our server was really good at asvising us on sides and drinks. - The next day we were asked if we already had plans for the day, and when we mentioned where w were heading next, they even recommended restaurants we could eat at, and what their best dishes were.

Disclaimer: the hotel was amazing, and I would definitely choose to visit it again. This is the only thing that was less "great", and it still would not change my opinion of the hotel. I would just request a different room location for potential future stays. While we received a room upgrade, it was unfortunately right in front of the elevator. This meant everyone on the floor had to go past our room and stand there while waiting for it. It was also close to the stairwell so we could hear the restaurant/bar as well from the room.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel!!! Location = outstanding. Staff = extremely polite. Food = fresh and delicious. Room = spotless. We stayed in room 214, it didn’t have the view but we didn’t care much about it as we were out entire day. They let us in at 1pm vs 3pm as the room was already cleaned and didn’t charge additional fee. Five minutes after we entered the room, they brought us fresh cookies with a hand written note just to say “welcome”- very nice touch ;). We had lunch at the restaurant on the first floor overlooking the Mosteiro de Batalha. Service was very polite and the food was good as well. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The location is just perfect. In front of the monastery. Easy access, good parking slot. The restaurant where breakfast is served is right in front of the monastery too. Just perfect. Then the staff… incredibly friendly, accessible, easy going. Both at the front desk and all other employees. Finally the room. Great bed, clean bathroom, good space and amenities. If i had more time in the region, id stay there for a couple of extra nights.

The dinner wasn’t the most flavorful. It was quite blend. Not bad, but for the price it could’ve bee. Better.

Nice staff and premium location right next to the monastery. The facilities are good and tastefully decorated. Pretty good restaurant too.

There was a hint of an odd smell in the hall of the suite, not really sure here it was coming from. It wasn’t too bothersome, to the point where I kept forgetting to mention it to the staff, but it was there, especially on day 1. The most annoying is the parking situation. Granted, we accidentally landed there during local festivities, and that made it worse. Even the public parking spaces were all taken. But then the festivities were finished and i found out that there was never a free hotel parking spot (there are only 8 of them). There were paid spots on the street, but they annoyingly only let you pay for parking for 1h30 at a time, they only take coins and they start at 8am. So, all in all, if it’s a busy period, bring plenty of coins and a bit of patience

Breakfast was a very pleasant experience. We had dinner most nights in their restaurant as well and the staff was very polite and friendly.

What was disappointing was our flight from Lisbon to Chicago was changed and we had to check out on Aug 13. The hotel said the could not change our departure date from Aug 14 to Aug 13 and as a result we paid for a night we were not there amounting to $200.00. The hotel said it was because we booked through Booking .com. We will never book through Booking.com again

The location is beyond perfect! It is right next door to the monastery. To be able to look out the window and see this magnificent monastery was amazing. It is lit up and night and we were able to go and take pictures outside after all the visitors were gone. The hotel is beautiful. clean, comfortable and friendly staff. The room was nice and cool and the bed was so comfortable. We had dinner at their restaurant The Vintage and it was delicious. Antonio our waiter was so friendly and he made some wonderful recommendations. We really enjoyed meeting him. The breakfast was beautifully presented and so many choices! Everything we had was delicious. Batalha was one of our favorite places on our Portugal vacation.

Everything. The staff was the best part, super helpful with the check in logistics. We were going to a wedding nearby and we were super late and they didn’t hesitate to expedite things, super helpful and available. We forgot to mention that we had a 6 month old baby and they right away gave us a room with every condition and a small toy. The view is amazing to the beautiful mosteiro da batalha and the breakfast was phenomenal. They also offered a late check out due to our son napping during check out hours. Amazing experience

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Located right next to the Batalha monastery. Spacey room with comfortable beds and a clean and comfortable bathroom. As family of four we booked the Suite and the sofa-bed for children was great as they enjoyed sleeping in their own room. The hotel's breakfast was good.

There is nothing I can think of. Everything matched our expectation and the price seemed really good for of-season period. I would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is literally across the way from the monastery and you have wonderful views from the dining room. The room was comfortable and well appointed. Everything was impeccably clean. The bathroom a good size. The restaurant in the hotel was lovely for dinner. Reserve in advance as the restaurant gets busy. If you’re need parking be aware that they have 8 spots allocated to the hotel, but there’s plenty of metered parking nearby.
