Communication from the host Cecília was excellent from placing the booking to me making a request to check in earlier than scheduled and to her handing over the access codes for entry into the apartment. She has a shop on the ground floor of the building so she is also available during daytime hours if there is any issue. Apartment was very clean and is centrally located with easy access to the key monuments in the town as well as the bus station where you can easily visit other historic towns nearby. Overall was a very nice and relaxing stay.

The soundproofing between floors is not too good. It is an old building so you can hear the people in the flat above moving furniture around particularly in the evening.

This was our second time in Leiria and Residenza Dutsu is much better located than our first stay - right in the middle of the historical town center and close to everything we could possibly want. We were here for the Extramuralhas festival, but despite being close to the park venue it wasn't too loud. And we had lots of great restaurants nearby, which is always a bonus! Extra points for a comfortable mattress (somehow most hotels and AirBnBs default to something more akin to a rock slab than a mattress). The presence of the fan was also very appreciated on the hot days we were there. And the host was very nice and kind, really enjoyed talking to her.

The covering sheet was a little small for two people (one of whom makes like a burrito at night), but the host graciously gave us a second sheet. :)

We had a great time. I booked 2 separate beds, but it turned out that I had to write and clarify that I wanted them to be separate. However, the host was ready to help immediately and this didn't disturb our stay at all. Thank you!

Residenza Dutzu was the perfect choice for our visit to Leiria. The apartment is excellent, centrally located in the heart of the city with plenty of restaurants nearby. It's also just a short walk to the castle. Cecilia was a wonderful host, always ready to help with any questions about the town.

Spacious room, great location, very clean.

Cecilia was quite rude when we needed help accessing the property. If you turn the lock the wrong way, it makes it difficult to open it. The check-in said we had until 9 pm, but Cecilia was complaining we didn’t get there by 7 pm. She wouldn’t let me talk, cutting me off and at times yelling. I was extremely uncomfortable and almost left.

It was all about the great location, location, location. Parking was ample at the church at the end of the street a three minute walk. Leiria is beautiful, a must see city in Portugal.

We were there for 10 days, and we are senior citizens, and we just couldn’t cozy up to wooden folding chairs as the only chairs to sit on. If you are young or on a short stay this may not be an issue.

Excellent! Excellent! Great location, in the city center and old town. The apartment is very cozy with everything you need in the kitchen even for a long stay! Super clean place with amazingly comfortable bed and pillows! The owner was extremely kind! I would come back again!

Excellent choice to stay in Leiria. The apartment was compact but had everything you need and it was super clean and comfortable. Cecilia obviously takes pride in keeping the apartments in great condition. Would definitely stay again.

The apartment is tastefully decorated, pictures presented on listing are adequate. Nice street view with the old town atmosphere. Big and comfortable bed. I liked the spacious and clean bathroom, all necessities were provided. Modern and handy kitchen space with small dining table - ok for couple.

If you travel with car can be issue, however there is car park nearby (use the one next to church, underground parking cost us bit much). The only one thing - we weren't aware that next day will be Maraton (clearly was planned earlier) and all streets in the old town area will be closed - so no way out, if we knew upfront we would park somewhere else. We had to ask locals for help how to get out otherwise we would stuck for few more hours, and we had delay in our trip schedule.
