I booked one of the private rooms for a week and couldn't have been happier with my stay. Everyone on staff was extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was a highlight! I generally have low expectations when it comes to hostel breakfasts but this one was made for surfers and active people! Many healthy options including fruit, eggs, yogurt, etc. Every day there were low-cost organized events you could attend to facilitate meeting new people. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Stop shopping around and click the "reserve" button, Skippy.

The location was walking distance to a a surf break, city center, and a 10 to 15 minute walk to a grocery store. The staff were friendly, fund, and had good energy. Enjoyed how clean the rooms were, as well as the house as long as the guests cleaned up after themselves. Appreciated the group dinners, the nightly open small bar, and opportunities to get together to hang out posted in a whatsapp group chat. Great views from the house and just an overall chill place.

Not being able to cook and use the stove in the kitchen even though it was available. You can use the microwave and oven only. Stayed for 12 days and sheets and towels weren't changed. But could have asked, so perhaps that was my own fault.

Such a quirky place to stay! The hostel is so vibrant & colourful, immaculately painted and so clean.. Location is beautiful, spectacular views from our sea view room & a short walk to beaches and Ericeira centre. Great place to meet people, or u can do your own thing if preferred. It was really nice to chat to others at the shared breakfast space too. Walking distance to two family friendly beaches.

Having great views , comes with a steep hill to tackle! Manageable though. Pillows weren't v comfortable!

The community was absolutely amazing 👏 I was great by Sébastien (a guest) and he said "I don't know you, but we made dinner. Come if you're hungry" and then I joined a group of the hostel and everyone was absolutely so friendly. I asked for a desk to work and they put a desk in my room. They had a guitar to play as well. They have yoga matts, a group chat with activities, and extremely respurceful. Breakfast every morning makes nice community as well! Forever greatful for this crew 🙏 There was parking on the street as well. It is a 10 minute walk from downtown. I loved the lighting in my room and how cozy the beds were.

Small kitchen. However, it was well equipped and everyone was so nice. Could use a blender (maybe there was one)

Great overall facilities. But what made the stay vey good was how the place was run; more specifically the events offered and the volunteers' openness and enthusiasm. It had a good balance of 'international awareness', and local feel and offerings.

Nothing really that can't be attributed to the type of stay (hostel with almost no privacy). Not a bad thing; just may not be ideal for some people.

The staff's customer service was fantastic from beginning to end, in providing us information about transportation, the local town and beach areas and the shopping and dining. Although we didn't participate in all the events/activities organized, they did a pretty good job of planning paid community dinners.

The breakfast room was almost nearly full and hard to find space on the table even though we were going much later. Also the breakfast items were running out fast and we had to manage replenishing the coffee or other items on our own. Another issue was with the other guests not picking up and cleaning after themselves. In the shower areas, guests were leaving their soiled towels and that didn't leave space to hang stuff when using the shower. Guests should be asked to hang their used towels in their rooms.

The decoration of the interior: very colorful, cheerful and cared for; Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff; View from the superior room: -The location: near the beach and the village; -Opportunity to take surf lessons and rent geer.

Noise from other guests until late in the evening, people also seem to take little account of each other (a lot of noise until late, with doors slamming, loud music, (some) guests do not clean up clothes/towels; On booking.com it says 'no children allowed', presumably because of the age category that is around here (young adults), but unfortunately this is not mentioned on the site (where I had booked); in my opinion it is really an accommodation for young people (20-30 years old) who like to have a party.

I had a great stay at Chill in! It was excellent as a solo traveller, with communal breakfast and regular activities organised by Luke and Timmy to meet other guests (dinner out, BBQ etc.). There is even a bar that is sometimes open. The location is excellent, with a short walk into town and great views of the ocean and sunset from the terraces. The double room, ocean view was very comfortable, and the shared bathroom was kept clean

This place is amazing! We booked for one month and couldn’t find one negative thing about this hostel. The breakfast include basics and all you need. The staff is friendly and they offer multiple activities you can join if you are up to. The location is right above the beach and the houses offer terraces with amazing views. In the month of a stay everything was clean for the whole time. Bathroom and kitchen was cleaned daily and kept tidy unlike some of the hostels we stayed in the past. We recommend this place!

I had a really comfortable stay here. It’s spotlessly clean & lovely comfortable rooms. I absolutely loved all the activities they organised. It was the best time I had in a long time. Great social life hanging out with the guests most evenings and having breakfast together chatting and getting to know new people. Best community vibe ever! highly recommend and I’ll be back soon.
