The most beautiful hotel right in the heart of Ericeira. Parking is free along the road, 2 minutes to pop into town to eat. Staff are super polite and very kind, nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are glorious. Lots of towels, crisp clean beds. Breakfast is superb. Plentiful! Table settings and napkins are divine. Free tea, coffee & cakes all the time. Prices are extremely reasonable. We got a suite for £68. Just opposite and down a bit to the right is a lovely shop selling beautiful Portuguese trinkets. I filled my case. Do not hesitate to book. You won’t be disappointed. There’s a lift too! Thank you for the most perfect stay. I’m definitely coming back! In fact, can I move in?

Everything about The FLH was amazing. When we arrived at check in, afternoon tea was laid out. The had the most delicious cake and cookies as well as coffee, tea, and water and apples. They greeted us with a complimentary beach bag and had beach towels available for rent. The room was exactly as pictured. The patio is spacious with a great view. The morning breakfast was one of the best I have ever seen offered at a hotel. Don't forget to ask for the scrambled eggs. They had fresh fruit, pastries, ham and cheese croissants, cold cuts, assorted coffee, teas, and two different types of fresh juice. The location is perfect! You are right on the corner of the main street and two short blocks to the waterfront. I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay here. The best part were Sonia and Miguel, the front desk personnel. They were so welcoming, kind and accommodating.

The best location - right in the middle of town. On a street that taxis can drive up so you can get dropped right out front. Amazing friendly service, great Brekky spread.

If you are tall be warned that the rooms are not built for you! We are 5’10” and 6’4” and we both struggled with the design. The interior roof is angled and low, which means to access the main space where you keep your suitcase you need to duck down. We were constantly hunching. The bathroom unfortunately smelled like sewerage also (not us) and we had to keep the bathroom and balcony door open all the time to air it out.

Great central location, very friendly stuff, it was very quiet and peaceful (November). The included breakfast was nice with quite some options to choose from (boiled or scrambled eggs, cheese, ham, tomatoes, cucumbers, croissants, breads, fresh yogurt fruits, tea and capsule coffee). There's a nice compliment of free available water, tea and coffee with cookies, snacks and apples during the day in the lobby, which is very cute. The top floor room with a balcony was very nice, bright and clean, very comfy big king size bed, glass wall bathroom but still with some privacy.

Everything was actually very nice, it was a birthday chill getaway. The room 22 has a cute little balcony didn't really reach the ocean view but was still lovely overlooking the beautiful white and blue buildings with ginger roofs and seagulls under blue sky

Absolutely amazing hotel! Perfect location, room and very friendly staff. We love Ericeira and its natural beauty and the fact that it’s less touristy. The room was very clean, the sea view balcony was gorgeous, and the hotel was a close walk to everything.

Overall, we were extremely happy with the room. Beautiful view from the balcony! Next time we may book a room on the 3rd floor instead of 4th to avoid the lower/slanted ceilings. Also, would be nice to have an electric outlet next to a mirror (either in the bathroom or main room) to easily dry my hair or offer an extension cord.

The two younger women working at the front desk were absolutely a delight. They were super helpful with the recommendations always friendly greeting you and extremely nice. I love the location of this hotel. I also really loved how clean and modern it was. The breakfast was also quite nice. There really isn't anything negative to say about this place. I'm not sure why it has some negative review. I would absolutely stay here again. I actually stayed for 10 days so I can tell you it was a good experience. The first room I checked into wasn't to my liking so they immediately changed me to another one and they did nothing but accommodate me the entire time!

Lovely hotel in the center of Ericeira, close to all the main sights and restaurants yet still quiet during the night. We were in the suite with balcony and enjoyed the view of the ocean, the sound of the waves on the comfortable terrace. The room was large and fairly comfortable, the bathroom also. Breakfast was good, ample variety of cold cuts, bread and sweets. We very much appreciated the complimentary coffee/tea/cake/cookie facilities in the hotels lobby. Overall, the place is also nicely decorated and literally felt a bit like home (FLH indeed!). Friendly staff. We would come back here anytime!

My main issue was that the bed was too hard. I suggest to provide true matress toppers instead of the thin blankets currently used. A minor thing: despite the nicely decorated rooms and looks of the hotel, the finishing touches were somewhat of a let down: terrace furniture was torn here and there, terrace floor a bit crooked, toilet seat unevenly installed...

Great location, spacious balcony, clean bathroom, the room was quite small but we spent majority of our time outdoors anyway. Buffet breakfast was great including the fresh Portuguese tarts.

House keeping came in the afternoons which is when we would come back from our day to get ready for our afternoon so we didn’t really get to utilise this. On arrival we asked if the weather was good as we were keen for beach days and the receptionist replied weirdly saying we had not come at the best time and there hadn’t been a sunny day all week which was a bit of a bummer answer to hear. We ended up having a great sunny day so glad the universe was in our favour. Might stay somewhere where their staff really sells the area to us :)

We couldn't find a hotel with an elevator in Sintra so we looked elsewhere and were so glad we stayed in Ericeira, less than an hour away from Sintra on the local bus from Sintra Portales. Ericeira is a lovely town with beautiful accessible beaches and lovely streets full of colorful houses. The hotel is centrally located, a short walk from Praia do Sul and the main square. The staff is lovely and extremely helpful. The breakfast is great. Refreshments and snacks are available all day. The room is very clean. Made a couple of day-trips to Sintra (bus 1633 stops on the main road close to the hotel) and then returned in the evening. Highly recommended.

That we didn't stay longer
