We had such a fantastic stay at You and the Sea – we honestly didn’t want to leave! We were lucky to get a free upgrade and ended up in a huge, beautifully designed apartment that was super clean and really well equipped. Everything felt thoughtful and high-quality. The restaurant was also a highlight – delicious food at every time of day, from breakfast to dinner. And the staff? Absolutely amazing – super friendly, helpful, and always great with our kids. The hotel had so many cool extras: a lovely kids’ room, an indoor pool area (perfect for the little ones), football field, skate ramp, outdoor pool, and even a guided arts & crafts activity. Our children had the best time, and so did we.

The people were friendly and everything was very nice. I love that they gave us cookies, had a tankless water heater so we didn’t run out with a family of 4 showering and the water seemed to be filtered and extra nice. The beds were comfortable and the AC was the coldest I have experienced in Europe so far. The 3 bedroom place with the ocean view was really giant and felt like home. I am kind of hard to please but the location to town and the restaurant in the hotel were both great.

The only thing that could make it better would be a small market in the lobby with the essentials and maybe some easy food items.

Nice indoor pool for kids. The outdoor pools are made from steel containers — it’s a fun concept, but they can get a bit too cold in the evening. Excellent breakfast. Very spacious apartments. Friendly staff. A nice beach is just a 10-minute walk away. Gorgeous view of the Atlantic coast.

It’s definitely not cheap, but we’ve stayed there twice already, and the experience is well worth the price. The location isn’t exactly central, but that just encourages you to walk and explore.

Everything about you and the sea was first class. All staff were incredible and friendly. Nothing was too much to ask. The facilities are great especially the yoga classes, but surfing and skateboarding also available. The container pools are excellent as well as the different places to sunbathe and relax. Minutes walk down to the beach as well. The small gym was excellent and families were very well catered for. The apartment itself was very well appointed with lovely comfy beds , full kitchen if you want to cook and room service for the first class restaurant. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Not much I didn’t like. the room service menu could have been a bit more varied but other than that wouldn’t change a thing.

We had booked two apartments for a family of 10 The apartments were very spacious and comfortable. The staff was really helpful and quick to respond to our request. Some of us had surfing lessons and we have to say the guides were so patient with us and we really had a blast with them. The kid's club was so wonderful and the massage was great. The restaurant is also so good. We loved everything at You and the Sea and would love to come back.

The location, the space for us in the top floor apartment as a family of 5, great facilities, by a beautiful beach, restaurant convenient, lovely touches such as robes, slippers, cookies. Healthy menu at the restaurant.

The indoor pool was nice but very chlorinated. The outdoor pool was lovely but very cold as not heated. The outdoor bar was closed by the pool which was a shame. Breakfast was too expensive for us to eat at the hotel (12 euro each, family of 5 would be 60 euros each day on top of the room !) we would have liked to have been able to order just a coffee & croissant each morning.

The apartment was spotless and cleaned everyday. Fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine all like brand new clean. Rooms were large and comfortable with clean beds and bedding… spotless Food at the restaurant was good and optional breakfast was good value if booked in advance. Staff are all very polite, helpful and welcoming. Helpful and honest.

The apartment we had did not have a full length mirror which was disappointing for the ladies. Charges made to the room lack some control from bar and restaurant staff. I did not open a tab wanting to avoid accidental charges to the room but on check out, there were still charges made to our room despite us having paid for the meals and drinks at the time. As the reception check-in desk is small, it becomes awkward disputing charges with other guests waiting or standing next to you. I do not believe that there was any ill intent, just perhaps carelessness with the charging of services to the rooms as all incorrect charges made were corrected during checkout or in my case later when I realised that mistakes had been made. So, yes they wrecked honest in correcting mistakes made.

We loved everything. Travelled with 2 kids 3y and 10years and our mother who only walks a little. Our apartment was upgraded free of charge to top floor 4 bedroom and I had never stayed in such spacious apartment. Each room is XXXXXL and beautiful minimalistic decor, huge comfortable beds, all clean, huge terrace with views. It was the most comfortable stay. Highly recommend for families or group of friends. Heated swim pool, Sauna, gym, play room, football court, chicken farm, great food, breakfast. Extremely lovely helpful staff.

Clean, spacious, bright and beautifully furnished with a stunning view enhanced by the floor to ceiling doors. Lots of small attention to details that made us feel welcome. We appreciated the beach/shopping bag, bath essentials, robes, washing machine and welcome note. The outdoor space was our favourite, welcoming, quirky, playful, fragrant and artsy - perfect place to sip on a well-crafted cocktail from the outdoor bar or try the skateboard wave. The location was amazing with a fantastic walking path to easily reach many cafes, restaurants, shops, grocery and beaches.

We were offered huge room with terrace and amazing sea view. Plenty of space, great kitchen and amenities. Big heated pool is amazing for this location where the sea is quite cold all year round. The hotel is pretty close to the center of Ericeira. They also have two charging slots for electric cars.

Can only mention quite chaotic planning of the hotel building - it's easy to get lost. The parking spaces under hotel are not thought out properly so sometimes it's a problem to get into/from a parking slot because of odd columns and lack of space.
