Hotel was very clean even with kids running around inside outside from the swimming pool etc.

Room was not ready at 3 pm on arrival. Toilet doesn't have much privacy, there is a tinted glass screen but it's not going to up to the top, so everything can be heard in the room. Access to kids swimmin pool is via parking lot which was very cold and windy to pass by. Water in indoor kids swimming pool was very cold even with 26 degrees outside I mentioned we are coming to celebrate our son birthday which was next day, at breakfast team sang Happy birthday to someone else, my son got sad. I know it wasn't on the very same day but reception (or breakfast team) could at least acknowledge and say Happy upcoming birthday to him, they possibly knew as I informed the hotel?

Kids club was great. This was our main reason for staying here over Carnaval weekend. The Carnaval agenda was super fun for them and we'll probably come back next year. The kids club staff was fantastic. The outdoor path was beautiful and we enjoyed playing outside and being in the trees and meadows. The outdoor pool area and lawns was very pretty. Even though it was too cold for us to swim, we liked playing on the lawns.

Water quality in the indoor pool was not great. Food is just okay. Room had glass tables where the glass could completely slide off as it wasn't affixed at all, which I told the staff about as we checked out. Noise insulation in the room was poor. We heard a lot of noise from people in the hallways and upstairs.

Family apartment spacious, clean and comfortable. Lovely breakfast plenty of options and staff very helpful and friendly providing anything we needed for our little boy. Hotel amenities were great. Lovely views by the pool looking out onto the hills, countryside and palace of pena in the distance. Also heated indoor spa pool for the adults and a separate heated indoor kids pool for when weather a bit cooler. Nice bar/lobby area and options for lunch/ bar food when needing a quick bite if spending a day by the pool/at the hotel. Fantastic location for nearby sightseeing in Sintra, accessing local beaches and also Lisbon (we rented a car- free parking on site).

The indoor pool was good, although it requires you to buy a swim cap. The buffet selection was good and fairly priced. The animation staff were very good with the children. The views from the pool are great.

There was real lack of atmosphere in the evenings. The hotel was quite quiet, but it really felt dead. The bar is well equipped for entertainment, there is a piano for instance. We were invited to join a wine tasting, but this never took place, which was odd. I'm surprised it has 5 stars to be honest, and I think the spa must be helping them towards that status. The facilities and level of hospitality certainly feel more like 4 stars. The beds are extremely hard.

Modern de luxe hotel with style. Despite many children, hotel was very quiet. We (5adults + 1 child) stayed in a 2 rooms appartment + sofa bed in living room. Each room has 1 double bed (very comfortable) and bathroom en suite. Efficient checkin. Good restaurant. Hotel has normally 2 restaurants but only 1 was open. Very good breakfast with many food choices. Hotel with 4 swimming pools (2 outside, 2 inside), jacuzzi, spa and many places for kids (trampoline, swimming pool, tennis lessons). Many families with young children. Appartment had its own parking with direct access to appartment. Free parking

Everything was good except the bed. Perfect location. Panoramic views from rooms and swimming pool, big territory for walking.

The matress on the bed was awful. I slept on the floor. My body really relaxed after in the middle of the sleepless night i went from the bed to the floor. And one more issue, the toilet in the room is not isolated at all. There is just a short glass door between the toilet and the other part of the room. Only very closed people could stay together while one of them is using this toilet. My wife and I didn't dare to try such an intimate experiment, and one of us went out onto the balcony, while another used a toilet.

We stayed here in the summer. Sorry that my review is so late. However I would like to say…We loved it here! This hotel was perfect for our 4 night stay. The man who checked us in was most helpful. All our requests, and needs were met. The family room was lovely, and the beautiful view of Sintra hills, and pool really made it for us. We couldn’t have asked for more! We had half board with breakfast and dinner. We found that there was a nice choice of food each day and we were happy with the choices offered. Would we come back? Yes please!! :)

Only one suggestion tea bags please..refills would have been nice in the room, or even free coffee sachets, refills or pods.

The infrastructure of the hotel is excellent. Good breakfasts and dinners. Excellent children's club - special thanks to the animators. Clean room and territory, clean pools.

The service regarding the food was poor. Outside of breakfast and lunch time it is very difficult to eat well. At lunch time the wait for food was very long, the staff forgot about orders and we were left hungry. I would also like to mention the staff at reception, not always our requests were met. Three times we asked for adjoining rooms when booking, but we still did not get them because of untimely cleaning.

Beautiful hotel, loved the spa facilities, lovely rooms, the buffet breakfast was amazing! Hotel food & wine prices were good considering it was a 5 star hotels

It’s in the middle of no where, so you can’t pop to the shops for snacks, if you haven’t got a car you’ll need to get taxis everywhere. No coffee facilities in the room or anywhere in hotel. Only given one bottle of water when you arrive, one a day would have been nice!

Evening meal was not up to a standard expected. The Restaurant on the top floor was closed. Unfortunately there was a maintenance issue in the foyer/lounge of hotel when we stayed, which probably affected the catering services that were available.

Location was remote without transport. Childrens facilities were very good. All information on hotel services etc seemed to be accessed via QR codes. Some Printed info in room would have been helpful
