This is a spacious villa with a large garden, fountain, and elegant columns — although it’s clear that the property hasn’t been maintained as carefully in recent times. The fountain was empty, some trees were dry, and fallen leaves were scattered around. Still, the place has charm. The location is convenient, situated in a quiet neighborhood with free parking. It’s about a 20–30 minute walk to the tourist center. Our room was large, clean, and comfortable, with a capsule coffee machine and a kettle. The bathroom was modern and well-kept. Overall, everything was clean. Breakfast was decent, although the eggs and bacon were unfortunately cooked in rancid oil.

There was an overwhelming amount of air freshener in the corridor, with a very strong and intrusive scent.

Overall, it’s a good place to stay, especially with the added benefit of spacious, secured parking! Anna was truly wonderful and went above and beyond by giving us a room upgrade, which really made our experience special. She also prepared delicious breakfasts just for us, as we were the only guests, and her efforts were genuinely appreciated. I understand that the owner can't control the situation and would prefer to have more guests, but that’s the only reason I’d rate it an 8 out of 10. We did feel a bit uneasy being alone in the villa, but I can imagine it would be a different experience during the busier season!

Staff very friendly and helpful, gave us all useful information re the places to visit. Quiet neighborhood not far from the busy tourist areas. The house is very spacious and comfortable. Room clean, with all the necessary facilities. Good breakfast. Secure private parking.

Common problem to most accommodations in Portugal: shower space not adequately shielded, bad design of the shower basin with water flowing to the unshielded direction hence spilling to the floor unavoidable, no exhaust fan, water droplets condensed on all surfaces (including the stone bench top) after a hot shower with windows closed in winter, complete wetness everywhere inside the bathroom!

Breakfast on the first day was very good. O the second day no-one was around to provide breakfast we waited with the other guest for about 20 mins and tried ringing the manager with no success .Eventually we went into the kitchen and found everything we needed . We hope that the manager was not unwell. We enjoyed the peace and Quiet of the villa and its surroundings. Also preferred its position away from the old town but close to some reasonably good restaurants.

Friendly staff. Easy to find, quiet location so slept well. Great to have secure on-site parking. Because we were the only guests we were given a free room upgrade, which was totally unexpected, but very much appreciated. We enjoyed the large balcony to it's fullist. Thank you. Lovely large comfortable room, very clean. Large bed, two pillows each which is the best thing. Great shower, all recently smartly decorated. Superior quality large towels, and fab to have two each. We would stay here again just because of the towels! Kettle, cups and fancy coffee machine in our room, but no fridge. Excellent WiFi. The walk into Sintra Town takes about 10-20 minutes, but it's an easy stroll, in a straight line, so not complicated. If you are lazy it will seem a long way. But if you like fresh air and people watching then the walk is nothing but a quick stroll. Breakfast was tasty and plentyful, even though there was only the two of us, we were still given the complete range of breakfast, from fresh bread, cakes and fruit, to boiled eggs, toast and yogurts. We were shocked as we had expected to be offered just toast as we were the only two guests. Much praise to the hotel for providing all breakfast options they promised. Special mention to the lovely lady at breakfast, she made us very welcome, she was chatty and offered great advice for where to visit next. Plus her lemon cake was delicious! Good staff should be looked after, this lady is a credit to the hotel.

A little weird to be left in the hotel completely on our own. With such lovely quality bedding and towels, shame the toilet paper is so lacking in quality.

The staff was very helpful. The provided breakfast was plentiful and appreciated while the room and overall lodging was very clean. We liked the location since it was along a quiet residential street and central to most major restaurants, train stations and attractions. We would stay here again.

As of the time of our stay (February 7th - 10th, 2025), there was nothing we didn't like.

excellent hotel price/quality. we found the hotel very easily by navigator, quick check-in and useful information. The room was spacious and clean, the bathroom had everything you needed, enough towels, accessories, there was a kettle and tea. Very clean and well maintained. Cleaning every day. The beds were comfortable and the blankets were warm. The breakfast was good, there was just enough to start the day. Private free parking on the territory of the villa, where we were happy to leave the car for the whole day to explore the sights by taxi. And then we just returned from the castle on foot, because the hotel is located near the center.

natural disadvantages that can be foreseen in a historic villa. for example, there are rather cold floors, but all this is remarkably compensated by the issued slippers.

Pretty pleasant place a bit out of the way. Great breakfast. Sonia was a terrific host. Room was nice and comfortable. Would be happy to stay there if we visited again.

The gardens and grounds around/behind the villa had not been kept up. We realize the economics made that impractical for so few rooms, but the villa would have been spectacular if they had been able to maintain the garden behind the villa. A little odd to have a locked/key entrance gate. Gave the impression of a high crime area but we didn't see any signs of a problem other than the gate and wall at the street. A little out of the way, but since we like to hike/walk that was not problem.

The property is in the quieter non touristy part of Sintra which is what we were looking for. It was quiet and comfortable, yet close enough to the train station, tram stop and bus stops we needed as we were using public transport.

The only thing that could have improved our stay would be if there was a small fridge in the room. There was a kettle and coffee machine but no way of keeping milk cool.

I love that this property was an easy walk to the train station. inside it was clean, nicely appointed and had excellent lighting. The air conditioning was excellent - effective and very quiet. the veranda wrap poured around outside my room and was a lovely place to sit.

The gardens have at one time been extensive and beautiful. At the moment, they could do with some tender loving care. The front gate could do with some lighting at night. As a single woman traveller, I didn’t feel comfortable not being able to see where to put the key in the lock when I returned after dark. Similarly, in the walk back from town, there is a section of the main road that is extremely narrow and takes the pedestrian out into traffic. While that is ok during the day, it’s a little dangerous at night.
