We stayed at this hotel for our elopement! What a beautiful property. The marble in the entrance, stairs and bathrooms is so grand. You can tell it has been recently renovated and everything is very clean and new, while still maintaining the charm of old Sintra. We are from Florida, so not typical here, but the bathrooms even had heated floor tile! It was absolutely so fabulous. The hotel was in a great location to walk throughout Sintra, very close to all the attractions. After our elopement ceremony they delivered a huge breakfast tray to our room, it was such a nice gesture! My husband was still in bed. They had extras for us such as an iron and steamer and were extremely accommodating. The breakfast upstairs served daily was super fresh and filling. They had a small grab and go buffet, but mostly brought you food fresh from the kitchen to your table. It felt very upscale for a euro breakfast buffet. Our room was so spacious, I didn’t know it had a little kitchenette when booking, so that was a great surprise! Also we booked a room that walked directly out to the terrace which felt like our own private terrace since no one was in the adjacent room. This hotel exceeded our expectations and I hope to stay there again soon!

Only negative it was a bit stressful finding parking. This hotel is on a one-way road. There are 2 designated parking spots for the hotel. Best to avoid driving in Sintra if you can!

The room was very updated, clean and comfortable. We had good views. The hotel is well located near the town center with lots of restaurants and shops. The staff, from top to bottom, was great. Breakfast was filling and tasty.

Just a note of caution in case you are driving to Sintra on your own. Parking is very limited. The hotel has two designated, reserved parking spots for them in a public parking area just 100 meters or so before reaching the hotel. These spots are on a first-come-first-served basis. Just be careful not to pass the hotel before you have found a spot to park or you may have a 30-minute drive just to get back to the hotel. I would start looking for a spot to park about 800 meters before reaching the hotel, park, check in and then try to move to a closer spot after 8:00 pm. Alexandra, the owner, can assist with the details. You will need 4.40Euros for every 4 hours. 8:00pm to 8:00am are free.

It is truly a beautiful view!! Our room had a little table and chairs on the balcony which was nice. Alexandra and the staff were very nice. Alexandra is knowledgeable and so helpful and speaks English too. Close to center of old town

Not understanding the parking situation. GPS is wrong. Phone maps works but if there are no spaces available you will have to drive all the way around the Old City (24 min round trip thru winding narrow roads) to get another chance. If there is a space the meter takes only exact coins ( no card, bills or app).

Excellent hotel. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and well furnished. Linen and towels to the highest quality. The view was amazing. The staff were excellent and attentive. Breakfast was perfect. Quality ingredients were well served by the wonderful staff. Location is 5 minute walk up the hill but very central. You are 1 minute from the closest restaurant. It's possible to be dropped and picked up at the front door by a taxi. A real credit to the owner you have managed to create and run one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at. Many thanks.

Building and rooms are beautiful…spectacular views! Spacious and comfortable beds, great bathroom. Breakfast is very good. Staff is exceptional. Easy to walk down to historic center (hills but not hard). Parking is across street. Beware if you miss parking, which is right before hotel on opposite side of street, it’s a 30 minute drive back around!

Nothing

The hotel is modern, clean, light, quiet (with windows closed, with open windows you will hear the noise of the streets and town). Most of the rooms have an outstanding views over Sintra. The photos of the hotel on the website are true, in person is even better. Beds are very comfortable, high quality linens. Very good breakfast with fresh pastry and bread, some meats and cheese, fresh fruit and coffee, yogurt and jams. The location of the property is perfect! It is walking distance to Peña palace and Moorish Castle via Villa Sassetti (about 40-60 min depending on your skills of hiking up the hill - easy to moderate). It is also a walking distance to Quinta da Regaleira, about 15-20 min. Historical center of Sintra right around the corner where you can find shops, restaurants etc. Most of them close around 7 pm. A small mini mart about 5-7 min walk. There is a small restaurant called Tasca do Xico opened till 11 pm and serves authentic Portuguese food with light house wine. We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Bela Vista. The staff is very helpful and kind.

Everything was perfect

The staff went out of their way to help us with suggestions, restaurant reservations, and reservations for a wine tasting. They were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great and the young women who served it were so kind and friendly. The room, though somewhat small, was really lovely with a great view and a large luxurious bathroom. The location was easily walkable to town but just far enough away to be out of the throngs of tourists. Honestly we loved this place.

The only negative we experienced was difficulty getting an uber to pick us up there. Although we had no difficulty, individuals with mobility limitations may have trouble with the stairs.

We had a great experience at Villa Bela Vista. The service was very personal and seamless. The hotel is on top of the hill and we could see Royal Palace from our room. We also had an amazing bathroom with a view. I really enjoyed the terrace and the outside seating during breakfast. The breakfast was a bit different from what one would expect - some of the food was on a shared table and the rest (e.g. omelet, fresh juice and fruits, bread and croissants) was served on your table, but it was tasty and more than enough. Overall, great hotel, that I would recommend to anyone going to Sintra

I would suggest two changes: 1. During booking, there are many double room options available, but it is difficult to connect the dots between the room you book and what you will get at the end. For example, after booking, I was not expecting the smaller room on a higher floor vs. the bigger one on a lower floor. Somehow, it didn't stand out to me during booking - would be great to fix 2. I feel like our stay would benefit from blackout curtains as the sun raises early in summer and the windows are so big

Our room was fairly large as was the bathroom. We had two beautiful views and it was within walking distance of Sintra village and close to the various sites. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was good and the staff was really friendly and helpful.

The marble floors in the bathroom were slippery and we had to be very careful, especially in the shower. Also when you step out of the hotel you step right on to the street and huge tourist buses come racing by. But we found it rather fun to hug the walls and hope for the best. :) Although much of the traffic goes away in the evening we still recommend wearing white so people see you.

What a gorgeous property! It was a gorgeous room with an amazing view of Sintra. The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was terrific. It turned out to be a great location as well.

The parking is a bit challenging. Definitely review the info on the website ahead of time, if you are driving. There is a very small lot, with maybe 10 spaces, two of which are reserved for the hotel. These spaces cannot be reserved in advance. If you miss the lot and need to circle around, it's a 30 min or 1 hour drive back to the hotel. We traveled early on a weekday and ended up having no problems at all. Would suggest taking the train to Sintra. The hotel staff were extremely helpful in describing the situation and will do their best to help you.
