Our stay at this charming guesthouse in Sintra’s historic heart was a delight! Just a short walk from the iconic National Palace of Sintra, it was perfectly positioned to explore the town’s rich heritage, with Pena Palace and Quinta da Regaleira nearby. The guesthouse was clean, and steeped in local charm. Parking was tricky during palace operating hours, but hassle-free after hours. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to soak in Sintra’s magical history!

Great location! Right at the old town. Close to Quinta da Regaleira. We also walked to Pena Palace for about an hour. Beds are very comfortable. The whole place is very quiet at night. The room is so dark and quiet we even over slept. The barking dog other people mentioned in review goes inside when it's dark. So it's not a problem.

It would be nice to have a bottle water and electric kettle for hot coffee /tea.

Lacking in expected amenities such as toiletries and tea & coffee making facilities in the room. Nowhere in bathroom to put any of our toiletries at all apart from the toilet lid. Bathroom was extremely narrow so much so that it was hard to sit on the toilet without your knees touching the wall

The place is full of character - in beautiful Sintra. The room was nice and comfortable Really nice shower - it fits the story of the house We appreciated the complimentary water and coffee. Hospitality at great level Also a great plus: we received a QR code and to enter the restricted area by car and park near the hotel.

Breakfast could be improved … it had only boiled eggs, one type of cheese and some other stuff - all good quality, but few options. The coffee was filter coffee - not so great. We regretted a bit not taking the breakfast in town, but the atmosphere and feeling of the place was all in all nice.

The receptionist did a fantastic job giving me directions and parking access to the hotel via WhatsApp. Driving a car there is somewhat tricky and she was helpful. The hotel and location are lovely, the rooms are nice and historic and the breakfast was good.

By biggest complaint is something they probably don’t have much control over, but the neighbor dogs were quite loud and barked a lot. Perhaps they could ask the neighbors to control their animals better. Additionally the parking was challenging. To be fair I don’t think they advertise parking at all so it was kinda on me and a favor of them to let me park. But you need to make sure to get a QR code for the control gate on the road and the ramp and parking space are VERY tight! It took me 20 minutes to back out of there! So if you decide to park just be warned. A better plan is to not rent a car, I’m regretting doing so. There is a train station right downtown and it’s easy to get around via bus and such. This tight, lovely mountain town doesn’t need more cars in it.

This place is absolutely beautiful! Everything was just perfect. The bed was so comfortable we slept for 10 hours the first night. The room has everything you need and the bathroom was great. Fantastic shower. Wonderful views from our windows. We just loved it. The staff are so warm and friendly and helpful. Breakfast is excellent too. The location is also perfect. A few minutes walk to the square and National Palace and all the restaurants and cafes and an easy walk to Quinta Da Regalero. The bus to Pena Palace and Moorosh castle is 5 minutes walk. We couldn't fault this accommodation. Absolutely nothing

Our stay in Sintra was short, but the accommodation met our expectations, good breakfast and spacious room with a good outside veranda and a very large bathroom with bath and shower cabin. very good breakfast.

The parking indications given on the booking were unclear, in fact, parking a car in Sintra is very complicated, there are few car parks (and far away from the hotel, and the (very small) one at the hotel is in a very difficult position to reach (we struggled a lot to get to the car park with the car). In addition, the directions to find the facility are unclear (we had to make three complete turns around the city before we could figure out where it was). Sintra is very beautiful but too full of tourists and in most places to visit (museums, places of interest etc) animals are not allowed.

The host is a lovely lady ,supporting all requests with a smile. Havent tried breakfast ,but it was available. The room was superb, decorated in rose pink ,transporting you into another century. The bathriom old century style ,with all the possible comfort. The room ( D. Maria | ? ) is huge with 2 big windows , one facing the Regaleira. Loactions ivrry close to city center, as well very close to the bus stop 434 and 435. Within walking distance is the Biester Palace ( must visit!!! Entrance fee 12 euros) take a morning and soend the day in the most lushious gardes. They beat by far Pena Palace Garden , in addition there are wooden signs everywhere for easy directiond. Right after Biester Palace you find Regaleira ,beautiul gardens,wells and palace . You have a nice view as this room is 1 floor. My favorites palaces from Sintra in descending order: From the outside: Palace Monserrat, Quinta da Regaleira,Pena Palace,Biester Palace. From the inside : Biester Palace( absolute luxurious inside) Pena Palace,Monserrat Palace,Quinta da Regaleira. From the gardens(all!!) but my favourite Biester Palace,Monserrat Palace ,Quinta da Regaleira ,Pena Palace. Mother nature is amazing. Thank you ,Sintra for welcoming me so well. People in Sintra are lovely.

In general the high prices in Sintra related with beverages and food. But guess people must live. Will be back soon!

Very good stay, room was large and plenty of light. The location was perfect in the centre of town

Car parking was difficult

Staff very welcoming, beds and pillows comfy and shutters made the room dark so we got a good night's sleep. Air con worked well, we used it to heat the room due to the time of year. Room was a good size with good decoration. Everything was clean and power points near the bed. Breakfast was made on request at an extra charge which we found convenient and had twice during our 5 night stay. Location great and in the heart of Sintra. The addition of tea making facilities which was put in the room on our second day was much appreciated when we return from a rainy day sightseeing.

WIFI only worked the first night and then we couldn't get back on it so had to use 4G. We arrived after 5pm and on arrival I thought the front door was the wrong door as the key appeared to not open it, turns out you just have to pull the door forward when turning the key then it worked fine.
