Beautiful old world setting and buildings steeped in history. Lovely reception, staff was very warm, friendly, and incredible helpful-especially Francesca! The dinner was lovely, breakfast was simple but good and the original Medieval bar next door is not to be missed! That being said, the hotel location is complicated to find- you are just outside the heart of Sintra- which is conveniently within walking distance- but the roads are very challenging and crowded. Map it out in advance as any mapping apps you might use will have just enough of a lag for you to miss crucial turns. Once that happens, it's a 20-30 minute lap around the entire town again due to one-way traffic. Once you actually find the hotel, pull into the first driveway (carefully!), unload your car, then proceed down below to the amble parking area. The hotel was very gracious in letting us stay in their lot for the day so we could finish exploring.

Wow! There is so much to say about our visit! From before we even arrived, we were warmly welcomed with useful and timely communication from hotel staff. The moment we arrived, we were treated with great care and attention. We appreciated the helpful tips and important information from Sorwar and Christina to help make our stay easier. I had a mishap and broke a nail, and Carolina kindly found me a place to do my nails and helped arrange my transport (Thank you Sara!) The room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable! We enjoyed our breakfast and had a fantastic meal in the restaurant on our first day! We would absolutely come back to Quinta Dos Lobos. We came for a special family event, and we were so busy we barely had time to explore and take in all the wonderful gems Sintra has to offer, which were just walking distance from the hotel. The hotel itself has lovely grounds with huge gardens and peacocks sometimes are found nearby, theres a beautiful little viewpoint where you can chill or read or just take in the sights. I'm looking forward to our next visit!

This place is extraordinary. One of the most beautiful I've ever been. Decorated in a tasteful style that emphasizes the charm of the hotel and gives good vibes. The hotel is located in the heart of Sintra, but at the same time away from the crowds. It's amazing how quiet and peaceful it is there, when a few hundred meters away we have the main tourist attractions. I could write about it for a long time. The place is extraordinary and beautiful. The staff is very polite and helpful. All amenities are provided. I am grateful that I had the pleasure of staying here.

Our stay at Quinta dos Lobos was truly exceptional from start to finish! Nestled in the serene nature of Sintra, this place feels like a hidden gem. The room was beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable, and offered a cozy atmosphere perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. One of the biggest highlights was the incredible staff—so warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. Though we made a last-minute request for a dinner reservation, they didn’t hesitate to accommodate us, and we couldn’t be more grateful. The restaurant on-site served phenomenal food, full of flavor and prepared with so much care—it ended up being one of the culinary highlights of our entire trip! To top it all off, the reception team went above and beyond. We had plans to catch a fado show in Lisbon, and they kindly helped us find the perfect restaurant for the evening. They really made sure every detail of our stay was perfect. Highly recommend Quinta dos Lobos to anyone looking to experience the magic of Sintra with top-notch service, delicious food, and pure comfort surrounded by nature. Can’t wait to come back!

I had a really lovely time. It's a place that mixes modern comforts with a peaceful vibe. The green garden is a real highlight, a beautiful spot to chill out during sunset. The hotel restaurant serves up delicious food, and the staff are all super friendly and helpful. Room was also very clean, which added to the hotel's calm and relaxing feel. Plus, there's a cool, medieval bar nearby, which is a fun bonus. They also have a great breakfast and parking, which is rare in Sintra. I took their e-bike tours, really loved that.

The hotel is unique, and its history is incredible! The gardens are very well kept, the vista views breathtaking! The location was good too! We decided we had not allotted enough days this visit for Sintra, we will definitely be returning guests!

We stayed on the first floor, and our bed was a split-level step down. The flooring is all the same color, so... I nearly fell once, and my husband nearly fell multiple times. It would be nice for the top edge of the step to be painted a different color or marked to make the drop obvious to guests, like us, who are so enamored looking at everything else!

A total gem. We booked this last minute. A little out of the main village of Sintra which is nice as the village quite frankly is over run with tour groups etc due to the amazing selection of castles and palaces in the area. Don't miss the moorish wells, we almost didn't go as it didn't sound that exciting, a well. But you walk down a spiral staircase on its interior down many levels and then out through tunnels to a waterfall! Our room was the attic one, enormous. We had 2 sitting areas with couches and chairs, a huge bed and still plenty of open space. The room is supposed to be 40 square meters but felt much bigger. Breakfast was nice with eggs etc cooked to order, pastries etc on a buffet. The garden was nice, quite large with peacocks, one was white. Secure parking is available just 80 meters down the road and connected by a path to the properties garden. Next door is a pub with a fun hippy medieval vibe that serves toasties and good drinks at very reasonable prices. You can dine at the property which has a proper restaurant of it's own.

Quinta dos Lobos is a hidden gem! Within walking distance (less than 10 minutes) to Quinta de Regeleira. The gardens were stunning! If you go here, take the time to ENJOY them. They even have a lovely patio area where you can enjoy the sunrise and sunset. Peacocks call out to each other, and if you are lucky, you can find the rare all white one on the property. This place has so much charm! NO TV, but this allowed me to connect to the space and the outdoors. I forgot a charger, and they brought me one from their back room! E-bike renting was a bonus, an amazing customised self-guided GPS tour. All of their staff were eager to help and so nice. Staying at Quinta dos Lobos was truly the highlight of my trip to Sintra. Tucked away in a quiet, private location surrounded by stunning forest, it offered the perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and tranquility. The property is absolutely beautiful, peaceful and serene, yet just a short walk from many of Sintra’s main attractions. It’s the ideal base for exploring the area while still being able to retreat to a calm and relaxing atmosphere. My room was incredibly spacious and comfortable, with thoughtful touches throughout that made it feel like a true escape. The attention to detail was evident everywhere. The staff were exceptionally warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. And the food? Simply divine. I had the best pasta of my entire trip here, full of flavour and beautifully prepared. I genuinely can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed my stay. Everything exceeded my expectations. 10/10 — highly recommended. I can’t wait to return!

It's my second time at Quinta Dos Lobos, and I confirm my 10/10 score for everything: location, facilities, service, and attention. The owners are still applying improvements, with great style and care. Rest assured on a very, very comfortable and spacious bed, like the room. Private bathroom with all the details, even a complimentary bathrobe. The wifi is good too. Special mention to the restaurant Dinner; the chef makes it with great affection. This time we arrived late, and the self-check-in system was a great implementation, too. Anyway, thank you very much. I will keep repeating.
