The host was lovely and very helpful, there's free bikes, kitchen and common areas are nice. Free breakfast. Supermarket, pharmacy, beach are in walking distance. Boards can be rented and lessons booked. Dogs are welcome. Lisbon is very close and easy to get to.

This is a villa with mainly privates and only one dorm, which was mostly empty. Therefore there was barely any socialising happening which might not be ideal for solo travellers. There are no activities, dinners together etc. Also there's not many cafes, bars etc around (10-15 minutes by bike into town),only a few posh beach clubs. The breakfast is not vegan friendly.

I absolutely loved my stay at Lisbon Surf Villa I originally planned to stay for 3 days… and ended up staying 6! That says it all. The place has such a great energy, both peaceful and lively perfect for relaxing while still being very close to Lisbon. The setting is amazing, both indoors and outdoors: everything is well designed, warm and comfortable. There’s all the equipment you need to surf, whether you’re a beginner or more advanced, and the overall vibe makes you feel at ease. The staff is fantastic always helpful and Ricardo is a wonderful person: kind, attentive, and full of good advice. Another big plus: the location. There’s a train station nearby (Pragal), which makes it easy to reach the south of Portugal, it only took me about 2h30 hours to get there. Everything is easily accessible from this place, whether you want to explore Lisbon, surf, or travel further. I 100% recommend it whether you're learning to surf or just looking for an inspiring and peaceful place to stay. I’ll definitely be back!

Amazing place, created by passionate and helpful people. Tasty breakfast with fresh orange juice. Hostel gives possibility to rent a bike for free and it's 5 min from a beach on it. Available swimming pool. You can find shop and few restaurants nearby. In case you'd like to try surfing, owners help you to organize it, just let them know in the message. I highly recommend staying in Lisbon Surf Villa.

I loved this hostel ! It felt very much like a home. Robert was the guy that welcomed me and he during the week, he came with us to the beach or to diner if he didn't have any plans. He made me feel welcome from day 1. Ricardo, the owner, came by every now and then and was very friendly. I was orgininally for 3 days (2 nights), but I liked it so much that I cancelled my other hostel and stayed here for a whole week. It is a perfect location, near a beach, a little town, different surfspots, ... I would recommand getting some surflessons if you have the chance. Lisbon is about 20 min Bolt or Uberdrive away (about €15). Or you can take the ferry and train. This will take you about an hour but is only like €4 one way. So whatevery you like...

The only thing I would say is that it could have an extra clearing day in the week. The room was not filthy, but after a while, especially the bathroom could have gone with an extra cleaning session. But this really is a minor thing. Oh, and maybe fix up the bikes a bit. It's a big win to have them available, but it is quite the adventure to ride some of them :]

The lovely family is what made this place so good. They were welcoming and helpful. The place is a 10-minute cycle ride to the beach, and it is a fabulous beach. The bikes are free but pretty crappy bikes. The kitchen facilities are great and there is a large pool. A 15-minute walk and a 30-minute boat ride, and you are in Lisbon city. The room is fine, but a fan or AC would make it more comfortable in the heat.

The location of the villa built in the late 1970s, its antique flair including furnitures and wall paintings in the baths. The hospitable host/s, the swimming pool, the huge open air dining talbe etc. Various guests visit the villa mainly surfing students, hence, one can get aquainted with different people from various countries.

The Breakfast: very monotonous. Better the guests prepare their own breakfast like the lunch and dinner meals in the huge and fully equipped kitchen. It might also be good for the hosts to focus on the surf students and classes I guess.

Cleanest hostel I ve been to. Felt instantly at home. Very quiet, healthy and sporty vibe. They give bikes which was a great bonus. Ricardo the host is very welcoming and helpful. He even offered a single room instead of the dorm since it was free. I recommend this place to all solo travelers and not searching for a quiet friendly and clean place.

Everything that is written in other reviews is 100% true. I was in Portugal for the first time and most of all in this trip I liked the place where I lived. I got really high. This is a great villa, probably the dream of every skater/surfer kid to do something like this to unite people with common interests together. I rested with my mother and we both liked everything. Most of all, I was delighted with the people who surrounded me in this place, I enjoyed every day. Ricardo is a very nice person in his own right and a very good host. The surf instructors are cool dudes too, they know exactly what they are doing. Thank you very much, I really want to come back again

We stayed in Lisbon surf villa for 4 nights in the en-suite room. We arrived early and were let in by one of the guests. They made us a drink and gave us a little tour of the villa. It was such a warm and welcoming introduction into community of the villa:) Ricardo arrived shortly after and gave us full instructions on what to use and how. It was great to be able to make proper coffee anytime we needed. We didn’t need to cook, breakfast was plentiful and 2 recommended restaurants behind the villa are just fabulous. Many other guests had a good use of kitchen, we didn’t feel any problems using any of the spaces even with villa at its full capacity. Everyone is very considerate of each other. All the rooms are spotlessly clean and have all that one need for comfortable stay. Kitchen is more than fully equipped and very well organised. I have been to Caparica many times and the area and villa itself were my favourites. We were able to leave our bags on the day of the departure and enjoy our last day on the beach:)

We really enjoyed staying at the villa! Ricardo was our main point of contact for everything (organising the surf lessons, renting equipment, breakfast, house maintenance etc. ) He was always super responsive and flexible to our requests, he made our stay very relaxing and enjoyable! The location was very easy to reach from Lisbon, and is very close to the beach - you can go on foot or by the free bicycle provided at the accommodation. The property itself is very big as well, spacious living room and kitchen with all the utensils to do some quick cooking. There are several common bathrooms in the house and we had no issues with them at all. There's a huge backyard with a swimming pool and a chill out area also, perfect to socialise with the other guests in the house if you're in the mood.

Our room was facing the road so sometimes the traffic was a bit noisy, but nothing major that some earplugs could not solve.
