Very comfortable beds, good breakfast selection, nice decor impressive indoor swimming pool. Nice setting. Downstairs double was a good size. About 10-15 min walk to the monastery.

Pool opened at 10.00 difficult to fit in a pre breakfast swim (11.00 breakfast ends). You can hear the Trainline in the rooms with a view. If walking you would have to cross the railway bridge to get to the Belem Tower/waterfront; about 1 mile in either direction to a train station. Only espresso coffee machine in room. The public rooms were under utilised, eg could offer free coffee/ tea in them as room facilities very limited.

Location is good as it has access to local transport without being too busy.

Was not aware that the indoor heated pool was part of the Spa which was not included in our room rate. It would have been if I used my Hilton Gold membership to book (that would have doubled the price for some reason) or pay 20 Euro per day per person. Apparently, this extra fee policy started in April '25 and before we booked so was unaware. Outside pool is fine though although not heated so can be cold. So I would suggest checking if you are expecting to use the indoor pool and Spa.

The staff at the reception desk was extraordinary, especially Leonardo and Ruth.. Friendly, helpful, funny! When we arrived from our 8 AM flight, we were exhausted. I mentioned that we had communicated through Booking.com,, asking for an early arrival, if it was possible. They checked with the housekeeping manager and had us in our room within an hour of our arrival. We were so grateful. One morning, we wanted to take an Uber. One of the reception staff members went outside and waited with us to ensure that the Uber driver found us. The breakfast (included) was delicious with a thoughtful selection of choices. Beautiful decor. A wonderful stay in Lisbon.

Very nice hotel in a quieter area but still very practical to reach out to the center or excursions. Very polite receptionist ( Tiago). Spacious rooms, very confortable beds. Beautiful and large indoor pool. Free parking.

My room was nice but rather dark ( 107 ). Pool opening hours are not convienient: opening too late as from 10AM and too early closing 8PM. Breakfeast rather complicated system, you have practically to order everything, no buffet, but service cannot keep up with the demands as too many guests and also a lot of misunderstandings due to language problems.

The staff (Victor and Margarida) were exceptionally helpful and kind. I had a medical issue and received explicit directions for getting help to solve my problem. They were extremely accommodating and went out of their way to make sure that I had everything that I needed. I also later enjoyed the facilities: pool, sauna, spa. All great experiences. The morning breakfast was delicious. The restaurant manager and wait staff were excellent. We had many opportunities to have evening appetizers and drinks. We loved Paloma who waited on us several times throughout our stay.

We liked everything. There may have been some understaffing while we were there (in the spa) but we always had our needs met. I will return the next time I go back to Lisbon.

Beautiful setting with a professional and extremely friendly reception. We were upgrades and our room was well appointed. I liked that the receptionist actually showed us to our room. Not all five star hotels bother nowadays. Free parking and charging for our electric car was much appreciated and a reason for us to return here. The indoor pool is magnificent. Didn’t try the outdoor. And next time I’d like to try the spa treatments.

Very little to say. A bath in our room would have been the cherry on the cake. And perhaps some special offers on the spa as it was January. Otherwise loved it.

The reception staff, housekeepers were great.Clean hotel, all the staff were helpful and smiling. I asked for an early check in and I got it by 12.The room was big.Breakfast choices acceptable.

One point to be criticized, at breakfast, the waiter preparing the eggs orders was topping the salmon plate with his hands, no gloves and not using a fork or a spoon.

We loved our stay at Palacio do Governador. The property is located in a historic building and has been beautifully renovated. The spaces are beautiful inside and outside. The staff was very helpful and friendly- the receptionist immediately asked if they could prepare breakfast box for us, since we had to depart at 4am for our morning flight. The food was delicious. We loved the indoor spa area and the huge, heated pool. The internet worked amazingly- my husband even worked from the cabana at the outside pool. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Our suite was huge and had an original ceiling from the XVII century which was so amazing. However the first out of two rooms in the suite was very empty, it would be nice to add a couch and a carpet to make it more cosy.

The property is well located and has a luxurious, boutique charm. The daytime staff were friendly and the breakfast selection was good.

The night staff at the property were not the friendliest and were dismissive about issues we faced with the temperature in our room and issues with our en-suite bathroom. We were ultimately upgraded to the larger suite, which we appreciated, but this was after a back & forth with the night staff that was rather unfriendly and not what you’d expect from a 5 star hotel with of this prestige.

The hotel was very clean and pretty. The staff was also very friendly, they treat you like ‘royalty’. Breakfast was good, with fresh food. Pool and spa were luxurious. They offered a pillow menu so you could swap the “default” pillow for one you might like better. We also got a bottle of water and chocolates every day. Quite neighbourhood, close to the river for walks. Supermarket across the street to get quick snacks. There is a little square with some food trucks just across the street which was nice for lunches.

The location is not superb. The only real thing “to do” in the neighbourhood is the Belem tower. The conference centre was also quite close (+/- 10 mins with electric scooter or tram. This was good as we attended conferences there. The breakfast was at 7:30 in the morning, which was late for us since we both had to start work at 8. As a result, we could not really enjoy it. Breakfast at 7 would have been better. The thing that annoyed us the most were the light switches. Every time we pressed the same button, another light turned on and off. At the end of our 5 day stay, we still did NOT know which switch was for which light 🥴
