Breakfast very good. Location was great for us (near relatives). Staff very friendly and helpful. Public areas were comfortable.

Service at breakfast a little slow. Room was smaller than expected and showed some wear and tear. We were very disappointed however that our son, his wife and our two grandchildren were asked to pay 150 Euros in order for them to use the pool for a day. The children are aged 4 and 3. They could have become bored after 5 minutes. Although my son and his family live in Lisbon and were not guests at the hotel, we thought the proposed charge was unreasonable given the ages of the children. My wife and I did not use the pool at all throughout our stay. Had my grandchildren been allowed to attend for free, we would have spent time by the pool and would have paid for drinks/snacks for the whole family. This would have compensated the hotel and left us feeling a lot happier.

Very comfortable beds, good breakfast selection, nice decor impressive indoor swimming pool. Nice setting. Downstairs double was a good size. About 10-15 min walk to the monastery.

Pool opened at 10.00 difficult to fit in a pre breakfast swim (11.00 breakfast ends). You can hear the Trainline in the rooms with a view. If walking you would have to cross the railway bridge to get to the Belem Tower/waterfront; about 1 mile in either direction to a train station. Only espresso coffee machine in room. The public rooms were under utilised, eg could offer free coffee/ tea in them as room facilities very limited.

I recently stayed the second time at the Palácio Governador Lisbon, and it was an extraordinary experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was warm and welcoming, making check-in seamless. The room was spacious, elegantly designed. The hotel's amenities, including the stunning pool and relaxing are offered a luxurious retreat. The on-site restaurant served exquisite dishes both for breakfast or lunch (we didn’t have dinner here). Ideally located for exploring Lisbon's vibrant culture in a quiet prominent area still easily reachable from the centre. I highly recommend the Palácio Governador for anyone seeking comfort and outstanding service!

An excellent, luxurious 5-star hotel that truly meets all expectations. The rooms were spacious and spotless, cleaned at least twice a day. The large outdoor pool (1.4 meters deep) was a highlight, with very comfortable loungers and a well-equipped pool bar. Breakfast was generous, partly buffet and partly à la carte. The spa area had everything: sauna, steam room, various showers, a large indoor pool, several relaxing rooms, and even an ice shower. The hotel also features a stylish and spacious lobby, and the service was excellent – attentive and ready to fulfill any request.

Occasionally, there was a short wait for service at the restaurant or for a response to a request.

The hotel has a lot of charm and we felt very welcomed here. There are some really nice design touches that make the place feel classy and sophisticated. The spa is really great here - has a very old world, classic feel to it although the facilities themselves are completely modern and work well. This is the first sauna experience I had in Portugal where the temperature was actually correct because it was designed properly. The location is fine if you don’t mind being out of the city and want to have a more chilled experience or see the museums. But it is around a 15/20 min car ride to the city so you need to be aware of that.

Location is good as it has access to local transport without being too busy.

Was not aware that the indoor heated pool was part of the Spa which was not included in our room rate. It would have been if I used my Hilton Gold membership to book (that would have doubled the price for some reason) or pay 20 Euro per day per person. Apparently, this extra fee policy started in April '25 and before we booked so was unaware. Outside pool is fine though although not heated so can be cold. So I would suggest checking if you are expecting to use the indoor pool and Spa.

The staff at the reception desk was extraordinary, especially Leonardo and Ruth.. Friendly, helpful, funny! When we arrived from our 8 AM flight, we were exhausted. I mentioned that we had communicated through Booking.com,, asking for an early arrival, if it was possible. They checked with the housekeeping manager and had us in our room within an hour of our arrival. We were so grateful. One morning, we wanted to take an Uber. One of the reception staff members went outside and waited with us to ensure that the Uber driver found us. The breakfast (included) was delicious with a thoughtful selection of choices. Beautiful decor. A wonderful stay in Lisbon.

Very nice hotel in a quieter area but still very practical to reach out to the center or excursions. Very polite receptionist ( Tiago). Spacious rooms, very confortable beds. Beautiful and large indoor pool. Free parking.

My room was nice but rather dark ( 107 ). Pool opening hours are not convienient: opening too late as from 10AM and too early closing 8PM. Breakfeast rather complicated system, you have practically to order everything, no buffet, but service cannot keep up with the demands as too many guests and also a lot of misunderstandings due to language problems.

the pool is clean, rather big, and airy. staff is very attentive (regularly replace towels) and in general always happy to go at length to satisfy all requests - at any time the Palacio is stunning if you are into historical buildings it is 15 minutes walk to the Vasco de Gama monument and the Monastero de Jeronimos food and drinks are good (champagne was notable, not a given considering it was by the glass) the decor of the rooms is classy and top notch. Same for the communal area. I did not use the Spa but looked clean rooms are large and clean

Smaller than we expected but beautifully formed. It was chic, interesting, lovely incorporation of the original historical building features into a modern luxury hotel. It was well appointed, lovely rooms and fabulous bathroom layout with a separate toilet shower and vanity/dressing area - and had everything you would expect in a city break. As it is in Belem, there is small journey into Lisbon but it suited us perfectly for a concert at the Restelo stadium which as a 7 minute walk from the hotel.
