The hotel itself is very good, the restaurant and food are excellent, the pool is fine, the sauna too, the fitness center could be a little larger and more modern.

What definitely makes a guest decide to return to or recommend this hotel is the way they treat you. Whether the staff is of Portuguese or South American origin, the service is excellent; they are very friendly and warm. But unfortunately, there are some staff members who shouldn't work in a four-star hotel, and I'm referring to the two men at the reception desk who are Polish, or at least they communicated with each other in Slovak. Their customer service and the efficiency with which they should offer their guests are very poor. If it weren't for them, I would give the hotel a high rating.

Liked the location for our purpose being in the middle of the Lisbon half marathon. The restaurant was good and not too expensive. Rooms were clean but a little tlc could improve them.

There is a lot of noise from outside traffic. I had 2 rooms asked for them to at least be on the same floor this didn’t happen. We requested a kettle but wasn’t given one and we also asked for breakfast to be done for us as we were out at 6:45 one morning for sintra trip however when we went down it was not done for us. Both these times we asked staff and they just wrote down on a scrap of paper which I feel was thrown away as we walked off so not the best service, if breakfast couldn’t be done we should have just been told as we could have got supplies the day before for our day trip.

From the day we had of arriving from the united to portugal with no power we booked a place called Lisbon serviced apartment with a confirmation number and they denied us access because we couldn't bring up the apartment # so they told us to find somewhere else to stay and kept our week stay of money but we found this gem of a place me and my wife are beyond joy to stay at Vila gale opera who's has made our honey moon stay perfect we were so stressed as lisbon service apartments left us stranded as travelers with nowhere to go to Vila gale opera made us feel at home and wanted during a crisis situation they even gave us a honeymoon gift we recommend this place a million time, the staff was so helpful and careful thank you guys

Nice room, beds are ok. The room was cleaned daily. Breakfast was nice, same every day but with good amount of different choices. Location is good if you aim to visit the Belem tower, Jeronimo monastery and Tropical botanical garden (the three are close to each other). The staff is very kind.

The pool seems bigger on pictures. The first day it was full with at least 12 small children in the age between 2-6 years that were screaming and/or jumping all the time. The acoustics made it worse. I wouldn’t call this “spa”. Luckily the next morning the children had the whole pool for themselves. The corridor smells strange. Not possible to open any window to get some fresh air. The lobby smells chlorine all the time.

The hotel's location offered convenient access to the surrounding attractions, making it ideal for exploration. The room was clean and well-maintained. Furthermore, the breakfast buffet presented a diverse array of delicious options to start the day off right.

The room, unfortunately, was situated directly above the bridge, which presented some challenges to sleep. Ultimately, a quieter room would have significantly improved the overall experience.

Management let us check in early as we had a small baby with us. That was very helpful as otherwise we would need to go walk around the hotel to try and find anything to do before checking in, and with the baby it's not as easy.

Staff during the dinner time was not very friendly, they treated us like we were random outsiders and were unpleased that we asked for the baby chair (even though the baby was very calm). We had purchased the room with the dinner included but were treated like outsiders up until they realized we had dinner included when they asked us to pay, then they apologized and only asked to pay for the drinks.

The indoor pool was great for the kids. The suite on the 7th floor had a fabulous view of the river and bridge- the kids were memorized. I love the location by the X Factory. great the we can walk there.

The room wasn't ready when we arrived at 2:30. We were told room would be ready in 15 minutes, We waited and when it was going to be longer, we were directed to the pool- which was great. When we were done swimming the room still wasn't ready... 3:40 or so. We were offered a similar room but on the 1st floor and offered no discount for this change. As few were inquiring as to a discount, the suite on the 7th floor became available.so it all worked out.

The location to the congress center is a short walk. The breakfast is substantial. The front desk is very helpful specially securing the taxis. The front desk people are knowledgeable with Lisbon. Place is safe for tourists. The a la carte dishes are well made.

The rate of the room per night is a little bit on the expensive side.

The staff is just wonderful - well-mannered, polite and speak English very well. There is a very picturesque bridge nearby, if you open the window - it makes noise, with the window closed - I can't say that it was very audible and it was annoying. A good hotel, I highly recommend it

The rooms are a bit outdated, damage is visible in places. some towels need to be changed as well.

Breakfast was good and varied. The facilities in the hotel were very good (even though we didn’t find the jacuzzis in the terrace until we were leaving). Staff were very friendly and helpful all the time.

It’s not very close to central Lisbon but is well served by public transport. One night felt a bit noisy from the nearby LX factory but it was one window in the corridor let open.
