Very good location, easy to get to the main touristic areas by bus, tram or Uber/ Bolt, for a reasonable price. The room we stayed in was a superior room, good dimension of the bedroom, and very large shower room. Very clean. The furniture and interior decor of the room and communal areas are beautiful and well maintained. Very good tasty breakfast with a great choice of fresh food. The coffe was excellent (note that I’m very picky and demanding on coffe, so generally it is not easy to meet my expectations and make me happy). The staff has been helpful, polite and professional at all times. Overall a great experience! I would recommend this place.

The bathroom had these beautiful, old, refurbished doors, but no lock and they were not fully closing. So not much privacy while you are inside using the toilet. I was sharing the room with a friend, we now each others from when we were kids, so it was not a problem, but I guess that other guests might find it a bit odd. LOL

A charming guest house with true style and warmth. The incredibly friendly staff kindly arranged a ground-floor room to accommodate my injury, which I deeply appreciated. The location is another highlight — nestled in a safe neighborhood where I felt completely comfortable walking alone, even late at night.

A few small touches could elevate the experience — like eco-friendly slippers or tissues in the room. Some minor wear (e.g. missing door stopper, worn joins) doesn’t affect comfort but slightly impacts perception. Ground-floor room is next to breakfast area; early setup can be noisy — fine for early risers, but may disturb late sleepers.

Genuine thought and care has gone into the furnishings at Garam Lisboa resulting in a fun, quirky, authentically Portuguese guest house. I loved the fact that it still has the character of an old building while being bright and comfortable.

Nothing really, however the mini fridge was freestanding and very loud and I was unable to unplug it in the first room I stayed in. Took a couple of nights before I could sleep. In the second room I could access the plug and switch it off overnight so it wasn’t an issue.

What a GEM!! The interior is magic. From the street is very plain... but once inside, it feels like Boho chic or Bali. The rooms have character and are nice for 1 or 2 nights. We got a welcome drink and I'm still smiling because of the amazing breakfast room. They had swings to sit on. It had a lot of yummie things to pick from. This one is definitely on my favorites list.

It looks like, this used to be an old house... so the floors are wood and there is not much isolation. I was afraid of being too loud.... But I have to say, I have slept really well and did not wake up from anybody else. Maybe it's better isolated than I would imagine. There is nothing bad I can say... I just loved it here.

The staff was very lovely and welcoming. A drink was offered on arrival which we had on the very cute patio. Breakfast was excellent and started with OJ, Portuguese buns and scrambled eggs, then there was a good size buffet that included yogurt, granola, cereal, fruit, tea and coffee and a selection of sweets like cake and flan. The room was well appointed and comfortable.

Unfortunately, I am sensitive to smell and the laundry detergent used for the bedding had an incredibly strong scent that bothered me. There was also maybe a room spray that had been used (something like Lysol maybe?). We tried airing out the room but were unable to leave the window open because of the street noise and since the smell was mostly in the bedding, it would become strong again once the window was closed. This was the only downside to the room. Also, just a note that there is no elevator, so you do have to carry your luggage up the stairs.

Very welcoming and helpful staff at this lovely small and friendly hotel. Rooms are decorated in a Balinese style with wooden floors, carved wood surround headboard and matching decor. The en-suite had a powerful shower with Ritual toiletries. Breakfast was a selection of cereals, delicious fresh fruit, eggs and bacon, bread, toast and a great choice of cakes, with fresh orange juice, tea and coffee. You can also have breakfast outside in the small courtyard with a views of wisteria and citrus trees.

Nothing. We liked it all. It is a little distance out of the centre but this adds to the sense of relaxation when returning after a busy day sightseeing. Buses and trams are not far away, as well as two train stations at Alcantara where you can get trains to Belem, Cascais and Sintra. Also ideally placed if you like walking as you are near enough to do the riverside walk to Belem and the city centre. There are plenty of places to eat in the local area.

What a beautiful place to stay! Rita greeted us at check in and did a great job of making sure we were taken care of (air conditioning was on in our room when we got there, gave us a blow dryer, iron & board). She offered us a welcome drink which we enjoyed in their outdoor area. She also let us know of many great restaurants in the area and provided us with a welcome packet that was shared via WhatsApp. Shoutout Rita!! She’s awesome. The hotel is in a great location to get to all tourist attractions. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious. Breakfast is included and was very tasty. The staff were very friendly and respectful. We felt extremely welcomed. If you’re staying in Lisbon, this is the place to be!

Good simple breakfast, really great shower in the room, a little further from the main parts of town but that meant it was more chilled and peaceful which was really great. Staff were all lovely, really helpful. Especially since we were there during the huge power outage in Portugal!

Really the only thing missing was a chair or two to sit down in the room, but there was a communal seating area available by the lobby,

My room was larger than I expected and was on the ground floor, near the common room where breakfast is served and where you can work. The water pressure in the shower was great. Breakfast was nice, not extravagant, but just what I needed. The location is in a really nice neighborhood.

The only small thing was the clanking of the breakfast being set up in the morning - I heard it only on the first morning when I was not fully asleep, but on the following mornings it did not wake me up.

Extremely helpful and friendly staff, felt really secure and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, including reservations for restaurants. Staff are a credit to this hotel. Hot breakfast cooked on demand, coffee facilites available at all times. Very clean, and great decor. Good base to visit the city in a quiet street, with a fantastica pizzeria in the corner. We will be back.

Nothing, all was great
