The hotel location is great; beach is just a few steps away; bars, shops, supermarkets and restaurants are all in walking distance. There are also a couple of bus stops nearby, so you can take the public transportation when you have to (2.6 EUR on bus, and it takes only cash; credit card is not accepted). Taxi is difficult to get but Uber is everywhere (You need to know how to use it of course). BTW, there is a 'Navegante Card' issued by Metropolitano de Lisboa, so you can deposit some money and use it on all public transportation at a certain discount. You do not need any ID thing to buy/recharge your Navegante Card. But, plan well in advance, as they do not give you back the unused money.

If you like to explore the old town (Lisbon or Sintra), then the hotel might be a bit far away (it is on the other side of Lisbon). Credit card is not always accepted, check first before you buy or order anything. Otherwise bring some cash (TBH, those small euro coins are not very user friendly). Language might be a barrier but you will survive if you know how Google Translator is working.

The ocean view room was awesome. Plenty of space and good facilities - the room fridge and complementary water were TOPS! As were the complementary "sweet dreams" chocolates on the first night. Going to sleep/waking to the sound of the breaking waves was wonderful. All of the staff, from those on reception, to the waiters, bar, pool and cleaning staff were all friendly/helpful and (being a lazy Brit, and so much appreciated) all spoke a good level of English. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and with lots of choice. The self service/freshly made pancakes deserve a special mention as they're not a standard thing on hotel breakfast fare. They were really popular with the children staying in the hotel ... along with the "Nutella" topping (their was also strawberry, maple syrup and other fruit spreads available). As it wasn't the peak of the season when we stayed (end of May 2025) we were always able to get a sun lounger around the pool. I suspect, given the size of the hotel/number of rooms, that would probably not be the case as the holiday peak arrives. The buffet evening meal was good and had lots to choose from. We only used that service once - they're are lots of restaurants/eateries nearby to tempt you out side - so can't comment on it's variety over the week. Having previously stay in central Lisbon and Cascais the one thing that did stand out for us in Caparica (though NOT applicable to the TRYP) was a noticable fewer number of retailers/restaurants the didn't speak English. That said, you manage. Would we go to the TRYP again - a resounding yes. Would we stay in Caparica again - probably not. The beach is astounding and you won't be prepared for how long it actually is - even if you have read up on it. One final thing YOU SHOULD DOWNLOAD THE BOLT APP. It is the easiest, safest, cheapest (other than walking ;-) ) , reliable, timious and convenient way of travelling around.

There wasn't anything really. One thing to remember is that Caparica is a big city. As such it lacks the cultural nuances you'd find from staying in a smaller town/village

The room is quite spacious. My birthday coincided with my stay and the staff were really nice to offer a cake and a bottle of fizz.

The lightning in the room we stayed in (602) is quite scarce. I am short (and pregnant) and found it hard to wash my face in the sink every morning, as the latter is quite high and I had to get on my tip toes and bed over (with a belly), it wasn't ideal. We were unfortunate to stay during two storms, and the bedroom doesn't have good sound insulation in the windows, so during the night we had some difficulty in sleeping as we could hear the strong gushes of wind blowing and hitting the windows.

A good choice of breakfast, lovely modern room with ocean view could hear the sea. Fab large queen bed. Our stay was ideal. Good location for resturants locally.

Found the pool busy & no sunbeds available which was a shame as one day went to the beach to be told sunbeds could be swapped around so requested €20 euro refund as not paying to sit on a bed which isn’t comfy. It kinda spoilt our last day. The hotel isn’t responsible for the sun beds on the beach which is a shame they can’t rent a section of the beach for customers of the hotel.

Really friendly and kind personnel. Super helpful with all kinds of requests (booking a taxi, laundry, preparing parasols,...). I was staying with a handicaped person, and the personnel always helped. The room was nice and clean. The food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) was good and varied. Nice and fun animations at the pool, especially for kids.

Really small details, eg. in the room for handicaped people, it would be useful to have additional handles fixed on the shower's wall. The shower system itself was not rock solid fixed to the wall. The buffet is great if you have a big appetite. If you don't, it's a bit expensive. There are smaller snacks at the pool's bar.

The hotel was lovely, clean and the beds very comfortable. The team was really nice and helpful. When it comes to the rooms, ours had sea view, a big bathroom and a comfortable bed. On another note, it was my birthday so the team organised me a surprise cake and a bottle of Prosecco which was super sweet of the team.

The breakfast was nice but there is room for improvement. For instance, there were no plant based milks, so for someone with intolerances it would be tricky.

Loved staying here. We wanted accomodation outside of Lisbon to enjoy both a city break and a beach break and this was perfect. 30 minute taxi to the centre of Lisbon and the beach right in front of the hotel. The breakfast buffet was amazing, so much choice. We also loved the fact there are gym and spa facilities which we hadn’t realised until we got there. We especially liked the sauna and used it a lot during our stay.

The only downside was our room was overlooking a cocktail bar which could get quite loud on busy nights (Friday/Saturday) but that can’t be helped. Luckily I had earplugs as I am a light sleeper, so it wasn’t the end of the world.

The hotel was in a GREAT location rate opossite the beach, perfect for our family. The hotel pool was also a family favourite but the sun beds run out quickly so you have to get there for 10am. The breakfast was great soo much to choose from even my little boy loved it. We ordered lunch by the pool pizza, toasties & burger and chips all tasted great. Very fresh!!! The rooms where simple but clean. A bit worn the bathroom, towel rail the loose. The facilities were great, gym,pool,bar. We didn't use the spa. Children's club. The staff where friendy an accomodating.

The bathroom had mold in the corners of the bath. Hand rail loose. More side entertainment would be great.

It was great location and great cleanliness. The hotel had great facilities and the staff at the bars were super helpful. We had dinner on our last night in the top floor restaurant and it was amazing food and service!

It was slightly disappointing as we tried to order room service 3 or 4 times through our stay and the phone just rang and rang. The lack of tea and coffee facilities in the room I thought was a bit disappointing as we’ve had these for less expensive rooms. The view was good for an ocean view although we were directly above the pool and the late night entertainment so didn’t have much peace and quiet.

The staff were wonderful in the hotel. It's very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel is right on the beach and a good place to base yourself for a stay in Costa da Caparica. We got Ubers into Lisbon (Around €15 each way) whenever we fancied a break from the beach or something different for the evening.

The breakfast is just OK. We decided it wasn't worth getting up for and dealing with the amount of people in the breakfast room. Lots of cute brunch places in Costa. I went to the pool the day I checked in and was lucky to get a bed. We didn't go again the rest of our stay, the beach is directly opposite and the pool area is quite small.
