Every single thing was perfect! I informed them of my late arrival and they made plans for me to have a smooth entry on arrival. The ladies were fantastic with everything we asked for. The breakfast spread was just too beautiful and fresh. Every single thing we asked for, they made it happen. The rooms were beautiful and so well designed + decorated. Pictures really don’t do this place justice. On my birthday I got a lovely unexpected treat from them including a recommendation for the best restaurant for food in Sintra. I definitely will be coming back soon. Thanks Gilda and all the other ladies! You are hospitality personified and I’m so glad to have chosen this place for my birthday trip ❤️

The staff is amazing. Very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is an absolute delight. The property is nice and the location can’t be beat!

There were two things that kept this from being a 10/10. First, there is no door or barrier to where you shower and where the bed is. There is a door to the toilet, but the door is opaque, so you don’t feel like you have a lot of privacy. It’s also not soundproof. Second, and this is more of a minor detail. But we try to always get Queen or King sized beds when we can. So, it’s always a little disappointing when the bed is actually two twins connected together. The beds were comfortable and the stay was nice, but it always feels like a little bit of a letdown.

Departing Lisbon on the day of a train strike, we had an eventful journey by metro and an hilarious ride in a taxi to arrive there, and then to alight outside this hotel, which looked as if had been plucked out of a fairy-tale. Every aspect, from the entrance, meeting the friendly manager and being shown our room, was a delight! The décor and amenities of our apartment painted a picture of the elegance and style of the era of Portuguese royalty, although with every modern comfort one could wish for in a first-class establishment! Even a bottle of port on the desk. Breakfast was a very efficient formula – selecting our choices on the menu on the first morning, and then it was less fuss for a quick start to each day for staff and guests - and with a delightful walk along a tree-lined pathway with lush gardens either side of the road into the centre of town to meet our tour guides, the railway station 100m away, and excellent restaurants opposite, this hotel is in a perfect position from which to enjoy the charms of Sintra.

Very spacious rooms, lavishly decorated. Centrally located with several good restaurants nearby. Very attentive and helpful staff. Fabulous and fine dining breakfast included in the price. Probably one of the very best places to stay in Sintra.

This was an excellent place to stay with children. The included breakfast was a huge plus and made it much easier for us with two children. The front desk staff was exceptional. The first night we had just arrived and went to eat dinner at a restaurant but they only had outdoor seating. It started to rain and we had to change our order to take away. The staff didn’t bat an eye at our request to use the breakfast room. Not only did they allow it but stayed with us to see if we needed anything else. It was above and beyond.

Parking was a little tough to have to go to the other site and street parking was a little tough. The a/c unit was not as good as expected.

Everything, the staff was wonderful, the breakfast made to order fresh and delicious. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean. They had a coffee pot, teapot with the amenities and a carafe of port wine with some chocolates. I would definitely stay here again.

This was minor and a lot of people probably wouldn’t care but we like to relax in the evening and watch a movie or on a rainy day. TV was hard to watch as it was behind a mirror so you always had to close all the curtains, and couldn’t adjust the brightness, also in the alcove where the couch was you couldn’t really sit there for anything except stare out the window it was such a small space but I wouldn’t give it less than 10 because of this.

Interesting property that was centrally located for what seemed to be a fair price

the shared suite was a bit awkward with the shared pocket doors that could not be locked by us directly and also the website description of the shared suite with equal rooms for couples sharing the suite was not accurate …also need more suitcase stand and lounge chairs in the suite so it can be used by two couples as it was advertised…also breakfast should be more of a buffet with orders placed when you arrive and not the day before as it is very hard to know how hungry you will be in the morning ..lastly our room was in the lowest level with only view of an alleyway and road…this room description needs to be clearer when booking as we would have much preferred a higher room with a view of the city or forest

This hotel is the sister hotel to the larger property nearby. The staff members were all so kind and welcoming! Large room connected into a suite since we are a family of four. Parking at the sister hotel was included and not too far away. Also they provided a lovely wine and cheese hour every night with some form of entertainment. The peacocks on the property were so entertaining! The customized breakfast with beautiful table settings was also amazing.

No view from our room and did have to walk to the other property about 10 minutes but we did not mind at all.

This is a perfect place to be inspired and pampered as you write. Sintra is beautiful, it is as if the muses reside there and can't wait to whisper their stories to writers and singers and artists of all kinds. I went on a solo writing retreat and discovered a small yet perfect paradise. The facilities are amazing - the bed is so comfortable and big you would want to make it your new home. The rooms are big and have enough space for writing comfortably. The bathroom is devine and the place is spotlessly clean. They also provide free water, wine, fruit, tea, and coffee, which they refill daily. The staff is incredibly welcoming and helpful. They are amongst the few who cook breakfast tailored for your specific dietary requirements. And the breakfast is amazing - generous, delicious, and everything is freshly made. The breakfast's location is also wonderful - if you happen to sit in the terrace as I chose to, you will have a spectacular view with your breakfast every morning. And as others have mentioned there is the sister hotel - where they offer wine and cheese every day at 18:00, free of charge. Sometimes, if you're lucky, you'll also get to hear live Faro music. Regardless, the sister hotel is worth a visit, because the garden views are amazing. You can also enjoy their wonderful swimming pool, which is open until 20:00 every day. I hope I'll get to visit again, it is now my favorite place in Portugal.

Only one thing that I think could be improved, but it would hardly prevent me from visiting again. The windows are soundproof and do a good job blocking outside noises, but there are sounds coming from the hallway and surrounding rooms.

We had an upgrade to a top floor room. The view from one window looked towards the Atlantic Ocean, the other window up towards a 7th Century Moorish castle. Location is great, just 200 metres from the railway station and a shortish walk from the historic centre. Breakfast should be 11 out of 10, little dishes individually presented. Staff are very nice and make you feel at home. One of the best (and nicest) hotels we have stayed in.

Nothing. if you stay in Sintra (and please do, it’s a fascinating place) check this hotel out, just fabulous.
