The place and the view are priceless. The public space and the terrace are very nice to hang out and the vibe is very relaxed. The breakfast is very good and the kitchen spacious for own cooking. Theres pizza Tuesday which makes it easy to meet people. Would come back!

The shower water was often not very warm. The check-in procedure and the messaging in advance was rather chaotic and confusing. The bar area can be used for work but it’s not very pleasant especially when many people work and do calls at the same time. Rather go for a coworking space. Once I was sitting in the living room a staff member approached me right away and asked me not to block the place for those being on a vacation. I found that rather rude given thst nowadays those jostles make good and steady business with remote workers.

Location of the house and view is spectacular. Having breakfast sat outside and an evening beer watching the sunset is worth it alone. Nice breakfast, staff very helpful. Surfboard hire was very reasonable. Wetsuit drying area. Close to a number of breaks (depending on your level) in either direction and a very short walk to a nice town Ericiera with plenty of restaurants and bars with local surf vibe. Having some instruments, including a guitar to play in communal areas was nice. Only there two nights with my son but enjoyed.

Probably a little expensive for the the quality of room as some floor tiles were loose causing potential trip/stub hazard and some covered up with a few floor matts. Also window blind did not work but had curtain so no real issue. Was quite stuffy due to no AC or fan and had to keep window open for majority which was not ideal for sleeping.

The location of this surfhouse is absolutely incredible - you will not find a better view! It attracts just the right type of person coming to stay for a surf where it is social and active, and the number of people you meet having repeat stays just shows you how special this place and town are!

The surfhouse doesn't have a designated area that is suitable for working, but we adapted in the bar area. The dorm rooms are also now connected which I wasn't aware of and therefore there is more people in a single space than previous, but that added to the atmosphere in a way.

The view from the terraces are awesome. The hostel is located on the cliff edge with an unobstructed view overlooking one of the 3 close beaches. Even though the dormitory room has a large number of people it doesn’t feel crowded. The breakfast was great and there is a well stocked kitchen if you need it. Very organised and has WhatsApp groups for hostel activities and surfing school. It’s about a 10min walk into the township for shops and restaurants.

This place is amazing. Inside the living room/breakfast room there are wide windows with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. The house is on a cliff right above the beach. There are lots of outdoor terraces and balconies to take in the view as well. The furnishings are beach-vibe comfy, the house very clean, with a fireplace that we took advantage of since it was January! The other residents were friendly and the hostess was more than accommodating to us. This was one of our favorite places to stay.

Hostel is at a very nice location with a stunning view. Very nicely designed and its quite stylist. I was in the 20 people dorm but it didnt feel crowded, the bed is very comfortable. Kitchen and bathroom were cleaned every day. I liked the variety of the breakfast, fresh fruit salad, pastry ever day.

Kitchen had a strange smell ocasionally, I dont know where it came from because it was very clean. Ventillation in the room could be improved, if the door is closed the air can get stuffy.

This place has the most gorgeous view ever. You get a great view of the sunset with a nice breeze. The place was clean and they also do your bed in the morning. The breakfast is good, their croissant is to die for. You get a towel. The kitchen is very well equipped. They have an area for coworking. I also really love the common space.

Laneez Surf House was my favourite hostel I have ever stayed at. The view from the balcony is an absolute highlight and I doubt there is a better view in Ericeira. The atmosphere at the hostel was friendly and sociable but you could also have peace and relaxation when you needed it. I stayed in the 10 room dorm, it was bright and spacious and opened straight out onto the balcony. The hostel runs very smoothly despite there being no reception, the hosts are available if you need and post in a whatsapp group updated on when surf/yoga lessons will be each day. The hostel organise pizza nights, taco nights and more, which are great. I took beginner surf lessons which were excellent, everything was organised by the hostel and the surf instructors were knowledgeable and professional. I hope stay again in the future!

It would be good if bunk beds had curtains but considering everything else was excellent this seemed minor.

Amazing atmosphere with the sea right outside, the surf classes and other travelers. Great breakfast, perfectly located and a very homey place.

It’s difficult to have a completely clean house all the time but I would’ve appreciated a bit more cleaning for the common areas such as the bathrooms.

What a location. Unforgettable seaview from the spacious balcony and just a short walk away from town. I slept in the dorm with 10 other guests and it is no lie if I say I slept better in the dorm then I do at home. The other guests were very polite and quiet and the soothing voice of the sea in the background made me fall asleep quickly. The breakfast was basic and nothing special yet it fulfilled all my needs. Staff is very friendly and pro-actively call you when you sent them a text message with a question which I liked a lot. Also the surfteachers are working really hard to give you a good lesson.

The lockers were broken and not accesible. Although it's a very safe environment it would still be nice to have a locker to put your passport, creditcard etc in.
