The location of this surfhouse is absolutely incredible - you will not find a better view! It attracts just the right type of person coming to stay for a surf where it is social and active, and the number of people you meet having repeat stays just shows you how special this place and town are!

The surfhouse doesn't have a designated area that is suitable for working, but we adapted in the bar area. The dorm rooms are also now connected which I wasn't aware of and therefore there is more people in a single space than previous, but that added to the atmosphere in a way.

This place is amazing. Inside the living room/breakfast room there are wide windows with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. The house is on a cliff right above the beach. There are lots of outdoor terraces and balconies to take in the view as well. The furnishings are beach-vibe comfy, the house very clean, with a fireplace that we took advantage of since it was January! The other residents were friendly and the hostess was more than accommodating to us. This was one of our favorite places to stay.

Hostel is at a very nice location with a stunning view. Very nicely designed and its quite stylist. I was in the 20 people dorm but it didnt feel crowded, the bed is very comfortable. Kitchen and bathroom were cleaned every day. I liked the variety of the breakfast, fresh fruit salad, pastry ever day.

Kitchen had a strange smell ocasionally, I dont know where it came from because it was very clean. Ventillation in the room could be improved, if the door is closed the air can get stuffy.

Laneez Surf House was my favourite hostel I have ever stayed at. The view from the balcony is an absolute highlight and I doubt there is a better view in Ericeira. The atmosphere at the hostel was friendly and sociable but you could also have peace and relaxation when you needed it. I stayed in the 10 room dorm, it was bright and spacious and opened straight out onto the balcony. The hostel runs very smoothly despite there being no reception, the hosts are available if you need and post in a whatsapp group updated on when surf/yoga lessons will be each day. The hostel organise pizza nights, taco nights and more, which are great. I took beginner surf lessons which were excellent, everything was organised by the hostel and the surf instructors were knowledgeable and professional. I hope stay again in the future!

It would be good if bunk beds had curtains but considering everything else was excellent this seemed minor.

What a location. Unforgettable seaview from the spacious balcony and just a short walk away from town. I slept in the dorm with 10 other guests and it is no lie if I say I slept better in the dorm then I do at home. The other guests were very polite and quiet and the soothing voice of the sea in the background made me fall asleep quickly. The breakfast was basic and nothing special yet it fulfilled all my needs. Staff is very friendly and pro-actively call you when you sent them a text message with a question which I liked a lot. Also the surfteachers are working really hard to give you a good lesson.

The lockers were broken and not accesible. Although it's a very safe environment it would still be nice to have a locker to put your passport, creditcard etc in.

I almost don't want to tell you about this hostel. It's not a typical hostel. It's a giant mansion with a marble patio that overlooks a great surf break. Look at the pictures. They don't do it justice. It's a great for a surf trip, especially for interemediate surfers, because of convenience. One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in.

I wish I had something substantive to say here. Lockers were somewhat limited I guess. I would've felt more comfortable if I could have locked up my technology but the lockers were in use. I didn't ask, but I'm sure they would have helped me out more if I asked. It's that kind of place.

Beautiful space in a very central location. The house is epic and has the best views! Shops, restaurants and beaches were all a short walk or Uber away. There were surfboards and wetsuits available for hire, and guests could join daily surf lessons where they were picked up and taken to where the waves were applicable to their surfing level. The breakfast included in the stay was sufficient. All the people who stayed there were great and we became a instant family going on missions together. The accommodation was comfortable and safe. Great kitchen!

There is some small house maintenance things that can be done. A better solution for writing names on food containers should be thought of. Can't really think of many things I didn't like though!

Charming traditional Portuguese house converted into a hostel. Stunning view from the room with sea view and a private balcony. Everything was clean and nicely decorated. Very nice and accommodating staff from start to finish. We also booked a private surf lesson before arriving and loved it, the instructor was very good and patient. Excellent location close to the beach and the town center. The breakfast was basic but quite nice.

Other hostel guests decided to be loud until at least 5am on a Sunday. We were awakened by their music and loud speaking even though we were sleeping on another floor, so sound isolation wasn’t necessarily the best (although obviously, the noisy guests were at fault).

The property is set on the side of a hill looking down on the beach and the common rooms have a stunning view. The staff is incredibly helpful and accommodating and everyone is super friendly. It creates a relaxed environment that is easy to share, which is not something you can say of all hostels. The surf instructors who work with Laneez were very patient, supportive, and kind and it was well-organized and easy to participate, even for beginners. Thank you to all the guys working out in the water! And to the wonderful housekeeping team.

Great location. The best view from anywhere I’ve ever stayed. On a cliff right on the beach. Such a friendly environment. You feel welcomed from the moment you arrive and everyone is so lovely. I also did a surf lesson which was a lot of fun. If I am ever back in Ericeira this is the place I will stay.

there were mosquitoes at night due to the door to the terrace being open for fresh ocean breeze - may be worth getting a screen door? but apart from that everything was exceptional.
