I recently had the pleasure of staying at Quinta da Alcaidaria-Mór, owned by the wonderful Nuno, and I cannot express enough how delightful my experience was. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that made me feel right at home. The accommodations were nothing short of charming. The rooms were tastefully decorated, blending rustic charm with modern comforts. Every detail was meticulously attended to, ensuring a cozy and inviting atmosphere. I particularly enjoyed the stunning views of the surrounding landscape, which provided a perfect backdrop for relaxation. Nuno and his team went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was memorable. Their attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction were evident in every interaction. Whether it was recommending local attractions , their passion for hospitality shone through. We only had once the breakfast in the special room but it was definitely worth it. Fresh bread, eggs, juice and a unique setting. The property is nicely located out of Ourem yet only 5 minutes away. Tomar and Fatima are not far to drive to and the Quinta gives a very relaxing vibe which allows you to become one with nature and unwind from your daily life. It's a unique way to get into the rural way of life Portugal has to offer while charging up for your regular life routine for when you get back home.

We would have stayed longer if we could.

Breakfast is included and is delicious with many options and presented in the most fabulous dining room. The rooms are delightful, warm and welcoming. The beds are comfortable with great coverings. The facilities on the grounds are exceptional for those looking to unwind or use as a spot to base exploring the area sights. The host , Nuno, is terrific. I traveled to visit family and had my grand boys come swimming with me in the pool.

There was nothing to dislike. The host is very accommodating for any need or wsnt.

Nuno was an amazing host, Quinta da Alcaidaria-mor is his home and he truly intends to make every guest feel at home. The Quinta is an amazing place, the entrance is magical, it has some very cute farm animals and the house itself is a journey back in time, very well kept. The pool is a highlight, with a great surround space and a good size.

Utterly charming and beautiful farmhouse on well maintained property. Plus sheep and a donkey. Would recommend. We got there at the start of the season and the room was a bit musty but it aired out quickly. They also had good local recommendations.

If you don’t need your room tidied you have to let them know at breakfast. No do not disturb sign.

Excellent place handled by Nuno, away from the big noisy city, great rooms, but GREAT breakfast every morning, I recommend this place to anyone who wants to relax and enjoy the country side of Portugal. Easy to access Fatima and Nasare so very strategic place.

Nothing, all was great

Where can I start…well, having made my way from the southern most part of Portugal over 6 weeks, this, by a long way, the most impressive halt! Firstly, an enormous thank you to Nuno for welcoming us so warmly to his c17th family home, for taking, and collecting, us to/from an exquisite restaurant and for being so kind! This really is a home from home, albeit a tremendously grand home. If you love a little history, space, peace, R&R and down time, stay here! Come in June for a blueberry extravaganza and any other time to sleep in tranquil and pitch black bedrooms, frolic in the pool or just bathe, hustle your friend/partner on the pool table, entertain your friends on the terraces and try not to eat too much breakfast. Oh, and don’t forget to pay the honesty bar at the end!

Nuno is always happy to share the history of his Quinta and also every aspect of living in Qurem area. Room is comfortably maintained and very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast room and common areas are nice area to relax and meet with other guests who happened to be here. Location is ideal for travelers to explore the UNESCO sites and beautiful castles and churches nearby. There are also a few restaurants that serve high quality local dishes at very reasonable price.

We had a very pleasant stay in Quinta da Alcaidaria. The host is very nice and welcoming and gave us many suggestions. We managed to relax and enjoy the calm and the greenery and the kids loved the pool, Scooby, the dog, and Sputnik, the cat. Breakfast was also nice and the game room was a nice way to spend some time. If you like history, a rustic style and a quiet stay, this is the place for you!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here very much. The owner is a perfect host. The property is simply magnificent. The mansion, which is beautifully furnished, is located in a great park with horses, sheep and donkeys. The rooms and suites are individually and very tastefully designed. The beautiful pool promises peace and relaxation.... Pure relaxation for mind, body and soul! You can make beautiful trips from here into the country or even to the sea (about 50 minutes).
