We booked at this hotel but upon arrival were offered the choice to stay at sister hotel residential União, which was facing the pedestrian road with balconies and featured beautifully renovated 1895 rooms! It was like going back in time, with self serve bar and light breakfast. Same staff, but Better location, and rooms than caveleiros, I would book uniao again!

Some street noise at night, but storm doors and interior wood shutters blocked it out mostly,

Charming old historic building, with modern upgrades to meet contemporary standards. Facilities sparkling clean and comfortable. Easy access to room and front doors with personal PIN code. Staff friendly, hospitable, and professional. Very close to park, shops, old town sights, restaurants and Convento de Christo.

It has an elevator which made us stay there. The location is perfect- around the corner from the bridge and the pedestrian main streer and a short walk to the main square and the train and bus stations. The room was very clean and had a refrigerator. We were met on time. The hostess was very nice and helpful.

I only stayed for the weekend but would’ve stayed for longer, ia an above average hotel for a very fair price. I’d definitely come back.

The only problem I have to point out is the check in - It’s an hour later than most places - and check out - is an half hour before than most places. It would be nice to be able to leave our stuff there earlier and also sleep in before we have to travel back home.

Pretty good value, very close, at walking distance, from the center. Free entry with code.

The code for the doors could've been given before reaching the place, avoiding having to wait for the staff to reach us in the door.

The bed was comfortable, the facilities were clean, the gentleman at the front desk was exceptionally nice as was the lady who cleaned the rooms. Location was great, close to everything in the old town and a beautiful park across the street.

Great location! Great service! Wonderful park across the street. 10 min. walk to castle & the Convent of Christ is spectacular.

We arrived on a Saturday and hard to find parking. We had to circle around until someone was leaving to sneak a park near the hotel. Bonus is that after 1pm on Saturday, parking is free and Sundays all day is free.

Good location in the old town so short walk around and to/from train station; had the essentials in the room; staff were friendly; there was a festival on which created a great vibe in Tomar; and didn't have to carry a room key as they have codes for entry hotel and rooms 👍

Bed was hard

Perfect location, on the main pedestrian street, right in the beautiful center of Tomar. I didn’t really stay at Hotel Cavaleiros but Residencial União which I was offered by the friendly man at the reception (ruled by the same owners, I guess) The building was old and charming, and so was the room, nice, comfortable and quiet, facing rear as requested (good view anyway) Good wifi. Amazing price. Great place!

The location was great, we were met at the door and they were very helpfull, close to everything

Quirky older hotel so quite dated, we had to pay for parking €6.00 each day
