Casa Dos Arrabidos is a little oasis at the edge of an attractive small town that has crept up to envelop it over the years. In the height of summer, the gardens have plenty of shade, but there is also lots of space for basking in the sun - especially beside the pleasing and well-maintained swimming pool. There are old pines and olive trees on terraces, while oranges and apricots are also grown there. In addition there is a pond with skittery frogs and an antique shrine at the bottom of the garden. The house is an old monastery, which has been attractively adapted for visitors. The bedrooms are spacious, clean, neat and tidy, while the large Breakfast Room below maintains a cool, even temperature that is very welcome after the heat of the day. It is a family-run establishment and they are kind, thoughtful and very eager to please. Indeed, they could do no more to help the visitor enjoy thier stay. Moreover, each morning's breakfast is accompanied by fresh bread and simply delicious - comprising an ideal start to any day.

Peaceful and beautifully kept gardens. Good swimming pool and loungers, parasol etc. Cool and spacious ground floor and veranda. Good breakfast and always pleasant service. Very attractive and comfortable bedrooms and en suite. We hope to visit again.

An amazing oasis in Torres Novas. A beautiful building with history. As you enter the gate you are hit with a sense of calm. I loved it and would say if you are looking for a beautiful place to stay, comfortable and peaceful sleep with hosts that are super amazing, than book now!

Rui, the host ,was extremely welcoming and expedite, and also a great conversation! We had the incredible opportunity to experience a monetary residential with centuries of History , and the story of the property as well as the family context in it. All of the rooms were spacious enough and all of the amenities were really well chosen with handcraft products from the region. We were welcomed by a very spacious dining hall with snooker table, self service drinks, and a very welcoming atmosphere. You can feel the history scattered and transpiring on the walls and little details and it's like experiencing a little bit of the regions history through the roots of the Catholic monastery and the lives that passed upon this property. Incredible garden with animals, Flowers birds , beautiful trees, a garden that is well taken care of, serene location and shielding from the outside streets and roads. I'll be returning and recomend this property 100%. Thank you Rui for these amazing days spent there!

This property is truly a hidden gem! We had a fantastic time staying here, as it felt incredibly special and magical. The owner is an exceptional person, always going above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. The room was beautiful, and the gardens on the property were equally enchanting. It's truly a remarkable place to stay, and we highly recommend it.

Location was excellent for the event we were attending, close to supermarket and an excellent restaurant (Papa Frigo) recommended by the host.

The noise from animals at night. Not sure what they were Frogs/Toads but very load in the early hours of the morning especially on our 1st night.

Breakfast was good, the place was very nice and peaceful. The owner and staff were great. Looking forward to the next visit
