The location was central in a small town famous for its horses. The owner was very welcoming and friendly. Everything about the property was superb. Our room was comfortable and quiet and we slept so well. Breakfast was good and the lovely Portuguese woman who served us was very kind and efficient. We don’t speak Portuguese and she didn’t speak English but we got on just fine with google translate. The courtyard garden was charming and full of colour. We would recommend this place to anyone.

The internet connection was weak but it is an old building with thick walls so that is to be expected.

My room and bathroom was very clean and large. There were two balconies off of my room that looked down on the street and you could see people going by on their horses, which was pretty cool. It is a very good location, close to all the horse festival activities. In the mornings, they have a nice breakfast. The lady will ask you what you would like and she fixes it for you. The owners are very nice people. I thought it was a little pricey for my room but to be fair, it was the peak time for the Golega horse festival. I stayed 3 nights and it was $750. I would definitely stay there again.

There is no private parking at the hotel. You will have to find a spot on the street to park, which can be difficult during the horse festival.

I made a last minute reservation for the opening weekend of the Feira Nacional do Cavalo and was pleasantly surprised to find out the hotel was in a perfect location walking distance to the center of town. Bonus points that there are stalls across the courtyard stabling several beautiful horses there for the festival. My room looked out over the street and I enjoyed people and horse watching from my window until the wee hours, but when the windows were closed, I could barely hear the festivities. As a horse lover, I was in absolute heaven. Also, the staff were courteous and attentive.

As it was the opening weekend of the festival, I paid a premium for the location. No parking onsite. However, no regrets -- I will probably book the room again next year.

Breakfast was good. The staff went out of her way to help us as we had bikes delivered and baggage delivered prior to our arrival.

A little noisy with traffic

Location was excellent, walking distance to the centre in a matter of minutes and had dinner in a great restaurant across the road. Room was very comfortable and immaculately clean. Crisp, thick, white bed linen. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

The host, Miguel, really goes the extra length for guests. Our room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable as well.

We are Pilgrims walking the Camino Portuguese. We stayed one night at Cassa dd Largo. What a wonderful place. The host is very gracious. Our room is very comfortable and clean and breakfast was fantastic. We really enjoyed our stay here
