O Paco was a wonderful hotel. We were blessed to have reserved room 4, which has a private balcony with a stunning view of the castle, and which has a separate dining/sitting area in the room. The room was very comfortable, well appointed, and provided helpful guide books and reading materials. The furnishings were a welcomed departure from standard hotel furniture. The access to the pool and roof deck were wonderful. We spent quite a bit of time at both, each afternoon and evening. It was easy to find free parking, and we could walk to many sites and attractions, as well as easily jump on the high way to other destinations.

The O Paco could not be more conveniently situated and behind a very low key exterior there is an absolute hidden gem…..charming rooms and a fabulous swimming pool. There is free parking nearby. Sonia, the host, is full of information about the area and provided us with a map and directions on arrival. We had a good breakfast served in the breakfast room off the pool area (and there’s a supermarket right across the road and cafès nearby) It’s spotlessly clean and very good value for money

There was nothing to dislike about the property ……but some pot plants around the pool might make it look even more attractive!

We loved our stay. The best part was our host Sonia who always made herself available to us and was so kind. The beds were incredibly comfortable The hotel is located just on the edge of the old town and the new town. This works out very well because we had free street parking across from the hotel every day and had to only walk 50m to be on the old town roads leading to the old (velha) bridge. There was also a small grocery store across the street where we could stock up for our day trips.

I would suggest making dinner reservations at recommended restaurants if you come on the weekend.

Simply our favorite place to stay in one of our favorite places in Portugal. Sónia is a great host, and we always feel so welcomed at O Paço. The rooms are amazing, and pet friendly, one of few in Tomar. The pool area is great and the easy access to the Belpaço restaurant next door ( also highly recommended) is a plus. Rooftop patio with stellar view is a great place to relax. Easy walk to the heart of Tomar. Grocery market across the street. We love this place.

These are not dislikes, but just heads ups for guests that plan to stay! Parking in the area (and throughout Tomar) can be a challenge. There is an unloading area for the hotel, making it easy to unload, but overnight spots must be found. Be patient. You will find one. Make sure you coordinate your arrival time in advance of arrival. Your check in will go smoothly that way. We have stayed many times at O Paço. These will only make your stay even better!

Excellent accommodation close to the main attractions

We found the property very difficult to locate with both Google maps and another app taking us to the wrong location. There is no parking and we found it difficult to find somewhere. We had to offload onto the street and then ferry the cases into the property. Unfortunately, we had some Wi-Fi issues as well. However whilst it did get eventually sorted, the signal was never continually strong.

Great location. A Mini Preço across from he street if you forget something. We loved our room with a sitting area and fridge in between 2 bedrooms all for us! This AL was a home that was renovated in 2019. The details and furnishings are as if you are in a top rated hotel. What’s even more magical is their outdoor spaces. A pool deck and an upper deck kitted with lots of loungers and umbrellas.

Everything was perfect and beyond. One silly thing would be a few more trash cans vs one in the bathroom only.

Spotlessly clean, modern, nicely appointed, and very centrally located. We very much enjoyed the second floor terrace, and the unencumbered view of the Convento — and appreciated the fact that O Paço had an elevator!

There was nothing we didn’t like — it is a lovely and very convenient place — but we would have appreciated the room having another trash can, coffee cup, and corkscrew.

Beautiful hotel with many exceptional details in the rooms. High quality furniture, bath products, giant shower. One of my favorite stays, extremely clean and cozy. Family room with 2 beds was very spacious , lots of seating, little desk, 2 televisions. Great coffee with generous portions, lots of bathroom products. Location is ideal, next to old town, gardens. Easy to walk everywhere and minimart across the street. Owners very friendly and helpful. The terrace is shared, has a great view of the castle. Kids loved the pool, very luxurious.

Everything was amazing. Maybe add a safe? Not really an issue, but for awareness there is only street parking, and difficult to find right outside the hotel. It is free around the neighborhood, except on the main street with the high rises. The street is a bit dilapidated and there isn't a sign on the door, but banners up high. We passed by not knowing if we had the right place. Located next to a clothing boutique and is located at the big red door, once inside very beautiful and clean.

The hotel is in an excellent location and the room size was really big/spacious. The decor and fit out of the room has been done to a very high standard and was very tasteful. Sonia was helpful recommending places to visit/restaurants to eat in and was always available in case of queries. Tomar is lovely, and is a nice size as it's not too big.
