We really enjoyed our stay at Alte!! The place is modern, clean, spacious room and has a lovely breakfast. Also, the pool and jacuzzi facilities are a plus, since you are not by the coast here. The staff is very helpful and kind. The town is also pretty lovely, very small but you have places for coffee and dinner if you don’t go too late as they close early usually. If we were ever back there, we would definitely stay here again!

The only downside for us coming from the coast, was the lack of fridge in the rooms. This isn’t a major issue as they have a common one with drinks and honesty box for payments. But if you had a small fridge in the room, at least you could keep your water cool overnight.

A beautifully renovated building in the narrow cobbled streets (but sufficient parking). It was very quiet. The a/c was particularly effective. The wifi (after needing an initial router reset) worked very well. The breakfast buffet was very good for a small place. Tiny pool but roof hottub were available but we did not use them. The bathroom and shower were excellent. Perfect English spoken, and the hosts made sure we had everything we needed. The common area had beer/drinks available for a charge using an honesty system.

We had a lovely stay here. It's a very peaceful place and surrounding area. Really nice decor around the property and the rooftop has great views of the town and hillsides. The breakfast was really tasty as well! Highly recommend if you are looking for a place that's away from all the touristy parts of Faro and the coastline. Easy to drive to and get to the coastal areas for a day trip. The streets around Alte have lovely street art and murals too!

Property was in the middle of Alte so ideal for bars restaurants. Lovely views from their rooftop of the surrounding areas. Very clean had the offer of tidying up your room everyday. Lovely breakfast. Able to purchase extras ie drinks from their bar and snacks. Would definitely stay again.

Very clean property with everything you need, including a small swimming pool and a lovely jacuzzi in the terrace. Lena and her staff make you feel very welcome:)

Maybe a small fridge in the rooms will be a great addition, especially in the summer when the temperature it’s very hot

I got an impression that owners of Alte Traditional guest house are professionals who really know how to accept guests, think about guest's needs, requirements and did everything to make it work. Interior is in harmony with old towns centre style implemented with modern materials and solutions. Great job done in all levels. I feel attention to details in every step. Definitely will return back and recommend to friends. Thank You, Exceptional! Perfectly clean, cosy, authentic interrior arrangemend, interesting construction solutions, wonderfull tiny inner yard. And custom made super breakfast with cute hostess. This time I ordered cheapest room, next time will definitely be curios to see other options. Town itself is worth to walk around, in good shape. The road from Alte to Cachopo has one of the best views in continental Algarve and plenty of foot trails.

It’s a very good hotel. I couldn’t get half the quality for the same price in Lisbon. The room and bathroom was very clean, the decoration simple, tasteful and traditional, the staff was friendly. There is a great terrace on top of the building with a gorgeous view over the village and surrounding landscape. The room was dead quiet in the night, and I slept very well. The location could not have been better, and the breakfast was very good.

It took a long time to get hot water in the shower. I had given up, and thought I’d have to take a cold shower when it finally came. Once it came, everything was great, an the bathroom was very clean.

Staff were amazing! So friendly and helpful, I felt like it was my home away from home. Staff are very professional, well organized and welcoming. The hotel is lovely with great design, very clean and well taken care for. Great breakfast!

Property is really great and clean. Love the jacuzzi. But the very best and what it makes it a 10 is the amazing staff. I never seen such a caring staff ever. I will definitely come back.
