The breakfasts were amazingly good with home made and high quality bread and jam, yoghurt and granola and fresh eggs from their own hens and a different pastry or cake every day with a large pot of coffee and tea. This was presented on an array of delicate patterned china that must have taken years to accumulate. It was also accompanied by very friendly chats with the husband and wife hosts who gave good advice on where to eat in the evening and where to find good walks. The flat itself was spacious and comfortable with a huge television for the evenings and a balcony to look out over the beautiful garden and countryside views during the day. We enjoyed a swim in the heated pool although the weather wasn’t as hot as we had hoped so we only used it once. Inside we went for a long walk along the coastal path, walked by the castle at Paderne to a river in the valley and visited the ancient town of Silves.

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Tranberg. Gabriela and Hakon were the perfect hosts and made us feel like home away from home. The daily breakfast in the garden with a breathtaking view and selfmade jams, granola, yogurt, eggs from their own chicken and (not to forget) Hakon‘s selfmade sourdough bread was one of our highlights. Booking one of their suites was definitely the right decision and we can highly recommend it! Get lost in some conversations with them both as they have super interesting stories to share. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay from start to finish. The hosts were incredibly attentive and provided great recommendations for tours and restaurants. We were pleasantly surprised by how well-maintained the property was — recently renovated, spacious, and exceptionally comfortable, far exceeding our expectations. The room includes a sitting area and a balcony, and the bathroom is brand new and fully equipped. We truly felt at home. The location is peaceful, quiet, well air-conditioned, and just a short drive from the main points of interest.

What a lovely place . Beautifully decorated and everything done to a very high standard . They had thought of everything . Pool was lovely as was the room and beds were really comfy . Hosts were really lovely people and made us feel instantly welcome. Would highly recommend

Isn’t a negative just worth knowing that you need a car as it is not near any shops or restaurants. The hosts provided meals onsite which we had both nights and were absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend and hope to return !

We have stayed in wonderful hotels in Portugal several times, but Villa Tranberg exceeded all our expectations. Gabriela and Håkon have created a little paradise and we can't list all the details, but we can say with certainty that the likelihood of you thinking about coming back the day you leave is immensely high. From home-baked bread, eggs from own hens and figs from the garden to freshly squeezed orange juice or homemade granola and jam - breakfast and the wonderful view from the terrace are truly marvellous. You can also take yoga classes, relax in the (really deep) swimming pool or enjoy the beautiful garden, which you share with two cute cats ;). Gabriela and Håkon's hospitality is unrivalled, as are their culinary skills. We took advantage of the opportunity to round off the evening with a three-course meal on the private terrace on the first evening and were so impressed by their cooking skills and the fresh ingredients from their own garden that we decided to stay at "Restaurant Tranberg" for the next few days instead of the planned restaurant visits. This little piece of paradise actually deserves an eleventh star, but unfortunately booking does not yet offer this.

If you are searching for a small peace of heaven on earth, you will find it at Villa Tranberg. Beautiful suites, stunning garden and pool in a quite area! The delicious breakfast in the garden was always a highlight. The owners, Gabriela and Håkon, are making this place so special and will make you feel like home during your stay!! The maximum of guests are four persons, so you really can relax and enjoy in the garden and at the pool. We always had the pool for our own. :) You also can book private yoga lessons with Gabriela or a super delicous dinner with a stunning sunset! The location of the Villa is perfect for trips in any directions in the Algarve. We are still overwhelmed from our stay at Villa Tranberg - thank you again Gabriela and Håkon for you and creating a place like this! We had the pleasure of staying at the villa Tranberg 5 days in August 24, in the heart of the Algarve, each morning begins with the freedom to choose your destination based on your mood and the weather. With Sagres just an hour away and Olhão at 46 minutes, the villa is perfectly situated, offering maximum flexibility without the hassle of long drives. This villa, stunningly beautiful, perfectly embodies tranquility and serenity. Gabriela and her husband Hakon have created a true haven, with 2 beautifully decorated suites, each with its own private outdoor space. It’s the ideal place for a restful and rejuvenating getaway, far from the crowds and impersonal hotels. The house, spacious and tastefully decorated, is surrounded by a well maintained garden, a pool large enough for swimming. It’s also the perfect spot to watch the stars or to wake up gently in the morning, ready to enjoy what became the highlight of my vacation. The breakfast is simply extraordinary and entirely homemade: fresh bread, yogurt, granola, jams, fruits from the garden, local honey, and eggs from the chicken coop, which you can have boiled, poached, or scrambled to your liking. Gabriela and Hakon have a passion for the finer things in life and are exceptional hosts, with a remarkable attention to detail. I guarantee you’ll be full until afternoon tea! The tableware is exquisite, the bed feels like a magic carpet, and even the trash can is a work of art. With covered parking, spacious suites, and a bathroom as large as a Parisian studio, this is paradise. Gabriela and Hakon are delightful, charming, and very cultured hosts who are always available when needed, while also respecting your privacy so you can fully enjoy your stay. Their little corner of paradise is also shared with two cats, some chickens, and honeybees that are eager to join you for breakfast. But don’t worry—Gabriela, a true bee whisperer, has put in place clever measures to ensure these bees leave you in peace.

We stayed for three nights at Villa Tranberg during our vacation in Portugal. I have to admit I’ve never felt more welcome at a hotel. They have created a wonderful oasis to relax and to really feel at home during holidays. Each day Gabriela made us the most delicious breakfast with everything you could wish for. Most of the things were homemade. The rooms are as clean as it possibly can be. Gabriela and Hakon are interested in you as a person they do everything you can wish for and give you space. This is the perfect stay and we would always come back just to stay the entire time at the villa.

It was a very pleasant stay, we stayed four nights. The rooms are very large and comfortable as is the entire accommodation. The breakfast under the patio is rich and very good: from yoghurt to bread from jam to sweets all homemade! The pool and the garden complete the picture of an absolutely relaxing and very pleasant place. Our guests were also always very kind and helpful. The perfect relaxation and an excellent base for exploring the Algarve.

On leaving Villa Tranberg, we felt like we had just visited friends for a long weekend. Gabriela helped us with recommendations in the area, her breakfast, all home made, was amazing. She brought us iced water when we were sitting around her pool in her beautifully kept gardens. Yet she knew when to give us space to relax. The rooms were perfect. Every little thing was thought of. The towels soft, the huge bed so comfortable, she made sure there were extra pillows for me as I was pregnant and needed extra. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the views were incredible. It just made the stay so easy and comfortable. Don't book in one of the soulless resorts, book here!
