Excellent hotel. Great staff who treat you with genuine warmth, humour and respect. Rooms were spacious, comfortable and very clean. This hotel had an air of calm which was very relaxing. We appreciated the secure storage for our bikes too. When we arrived the front of the hotel gives nothing away but when you drive through the gates, you are met with a beautiful pool, nice garden, outdoor furniture, play area for children. It was stunning. Unfortunately, the restaurant was not serving dinner but the restaurant they recommended (and booked for us) was lovely. Breakfast was outstanding, served by friendly staff who cook everything on-site including the bread and pastries.

Nothing, it was perfect.

The automatic balcony roller blind was useful. Twin beds were requested - on arrival we were told this was not possible, however we were offered separate rooms as an alternative. We didn't take up the offer, but we appreciated the gesture.

Boutique style room, with glass bathroom walls. Although there was a privacy blind on one side, the other side was completely see-through, so not ideal! Also the glass door to the bathroom could be hazardous at night - difficult to know if it was open or closed without turning on a light. And, being glass, the door couldn't close properly, so again a privacy issue!

The staff were amazing and very friendly. The rooms don’t have coffee/tea making facilities but each floor does have a trolley to this one, along with fresh biscuits which is a lovely touch. Staff always present at breakfast and you could usually find someone to help you when you needed it.

The only thing that was a little off putting was that when I arrived I had to make a phone call so the staff would come to the front desk. But it was all very well signed posted with clear instructions. I later realised that the staff pro actively do a lot around the hotel and so aren’t always at the front desk.

The breakfast was good, fresh, varied; the staff were very accommodating; the location was central to eateries and the riverside; rooms were clean and quiet and beds were comfortable.

The pool could have been fantastic if ash wasn't falling from the sky due to nearby wildfires (does Booking.com use their platform to lobby better sustainable practices in the travel industry and pressure tourism suppliers and gov'ts to follow suit???).

Right from the start the hosting was fantastic. The team and staff are simply amazing and can't do enough to help. It's quite centrally located and everything is walkable plus they have off street car parking. Even the fact that as Australians, we only spoke English wasn't an issue..

The rooms were great, The only passing comment I would make is that it is a little bit hard to see the entry as you're driving down the street.. keep an eye out for the flags! But the staff and facilities are just perfect.

The only thing - and I'm sure it's my ignorance at play here, is that I had a hard time regulating the shower temperature. That's all I have to complain about and I'm sure if I called for help the staff would have responded immediately. I was wet, so I suffered through it myself twisting one way and then another.

The staff (reception, housekeeping, and the cook) all received us with warm hospitality. The breakfast (home made pastries, regional charcuterie, made to order eggs)were delicious. The gated parking area was secure and easy to access.

The only flaw of the hotel is that it is not built sound proof - we were able to hear other guests' conversation. Luckily, all the guests during our 3 days stay were quiet so we were able to get good rest.

I stayed here two nights which was longer than I had planned. I was travelling by motorcycle and awoke to very bad weather. It was no problem to spend a second night. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The staff was very pleasant and professional. The breakfast was outstanding. I'd stay here again without hestitation.

The staff, and the chef! We felt like all our needs were anticipated. The staff are amazing, extremely responsive, respectful, supportive and kind. The dinner at the hotel is a must. Very similar to the treatment we get from my sweet granny. The pool and grass area, plus the parking were a lovely happy surprise.

Modernised tastefully in centre of town. Family owned and run with love and attention. Large heated pool in well kept large garden. Good breakfast. Comfortable bedroom. Nothing too much trouble.

Good for overnight stay as little to do or sightsee in town except river front and arched bridge.
