1) The location has a good on cliff walk, part of the Fisherman's Trail, starting at the front door going east to a fishing port. Also can walk into Sagres. 2) Sea view room on upper floor facing west for the cliffs, fort and sunset through large glass doors and a dining balcony. 3) Accommodation a rustic-style.apartment with separate bedroom and spacious bathroom (with bidet), and well equipped (pans & cutlery) small kitchen including oven. Individual hot water tank. 4) Fairly elegant reception area, white marble floors and stairs. Fast elevator. Friendly greeting from Jose, always helpful. Large parking area. 5) Very quiet, relaxing countryside-feeling. A place where you wish you could stay longer.

This isn't a hotel, it's a museum. If you're looking for comfort or something luxurious, this hotel definitely isn't for you. But if you want to experience a trip back in time, this hotel is perfect. I really liked this hotel because of its unchanged environment. I think they should advertise themselves as a hotel-museum, then there wouldn't be any complaints. Excellent breakfast. Very pleasant reception staff. Everything is great if you're prepared for the fact that it's a very, very old and unrenovated hotel. Great view from the window - sea view.

I wanted to turn on the kettle, and it tripped the electrics :D Good thing the fuse box is in the room, so you can turn it back on yourself. It could be a little cleaner.

Staff were very welcoming, room was spacious and clean with a lovely view out to sea.. The hotel has a rustic charm that fits the vibe of the area nicely. Short walk to the beach, local restaurants, and shops. We had no issues with 24 hour check in as we arrived around midnight and had to check out around 2am. Reasonable selection of pastries and cold meats and cheese for breakfast.

Being an older hotel, the soundproofing isn't perfect. You can hear other guests in adjacent rooms moving furniture etc. Not much of an issue when we stayed, but during peak season, when the hotel is busy, it may be a problem for some.

The retro, old school 70s vibe was cute. Excellent price performance, since our stay was on the budget during our hike on Fisherman’s trail. The views from and around hotel were spectacular. Had a goodnight sleep, the beds were really comfy. It was great to have a kitchen as well. i recomend and would for sure return again. Very nice and kind staff working in the recption

Very large apartment rooms. Great sea views and big openable windows for sea air. The beds were comfortable, with options for more or less covering. Close to shops and restaurants. It was clean and staff were friendly. For us, it was a great place for a 2 night stay to recharge after the fisherman's trail hike. Price wise, cannot complain.

The hotel is an old one. Our bathroom smelt of bad water (we kept the door closed). Lots of things are worn out but usable.

The view from the balcony was incredible, looking across the bay to the Fort. The room was clean and had a small kitchen area for food prep which was great. Loved having a pool area after getting there as part of the Fisherman's Trail. The beds were quite comfortable, and the bathroom was large. The staff at check in were wonderful and very helpful. The breakfast was good and plentiful. There are nice walking trails just outside the hotel and the lookout is only about a 10 minute walk and incredible in the morning. Grocery store a few minutes walk and maybe a 10-15 minute walk to the port for great seafood.

The decor is a little dated but still functional and while it was great to have a kitchen area, there was no soap or dishcloths to wash up the dishes. It is a little far from the rest of town but still walkable.

The location is amazing and most of the staff were super helpful and polite.

My toilet was constantly running water, and there was a brown stain where the water was constantly running. Although I knew it wasn’t poo, it still made me feel a bit uncomfortable. Also I was supplied with one stainless steel saucepan and 3 aluminium saucepans. I won’t use aluminium so asked for another stainless steel which they gave me. The lighting hasn’t been updated since the building was built. It’s functional, but the strip light in the kitchen wasn’t too pleasant.

Noisy! Because it's so cheap I'm guessing that's why you get groups of youngsters staying. Unfortunately, they don't seem to be managed by the staff during the night so there was lots of noise from rooms above and opposite. Doors banging. People running around. Furniture being moved. Youngsters having fun. Which is fine, for a while, but not at 2-3 in the morning when you're trying to sleep after a long day's hike!

Spacious apartment, kitchen well equipped (we only missed sponge and some washing up liquid which we bought in a nearby store), great location. We highly recommend to book your trip with breakfast as it was soo delicious (full english breakfast, musli, yogurts,...). Really close to the beach, and right on the route of the fisherman's trail (Rota Vicentina). Also great staff - really helpful and kind.

The location is absolutely fantastic. A 2-3 minute walk to the centre of Sagres, and a stunning walk it is, you can take the paths on the cliffs that run parallel to the road. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The apartment was clean. The essentials one needs on a beach holiday were fine - bed comfortable, working A/C, hot strong shower. Amazing value for money.
