The location here is nothing but spectacular! We stayed here the very first time we found beautiful Burgau. That was four years ago and have been wanting to get to stay here again. This is such a special place, there is nothing like opening the window shutters and double doors to the view over the beach,sea and the village it's breathtaking. This time we stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment slightly lower down. The balcony receives the sun from around 2pm until around 7pm but was warm enough to sit out in the morning for coffee. The apartment is large with a great bedroom and large wardrobe. There is a recently refurbished bathroom which is bright with a huge shower space. The main area is an open plan lounge,dining and kitchen. The kitchen is perfectly sized and equipped for any stay. It was a working stay for my husband and the WiFi was great allowing him to work without buying data. Miguel and Zezinha who own and run the apartments are fab. Available in the reception area from 10-6 every day. There you can grab a coffee or drink from the bar and sit overlooking the pool and views over the beach. The pool area is amazing sun all day, loungers and cushions provided with the refreshing large clean pool to cool off from the sun. Within a few minutes walk you are down into Burgau village with an array of restaurants and a few bars. Try all the various restaurants although Barraca, Miam and the Beach Bar (only open until 6pm and need to book) all have amazing fish and seafood options. Love Burgau and Corso are places for your pizza needs. Pingas is on your way back to the apartment when you head home. Pop in there to have a cocktail or two before home. The coastal Fisherman's trail runs through Burgau and onto Luz one way or Salema the other. These are both beautiful walks although wear proper footwear they get steep and are stoney in parts.

Was very surprised & pleased with the spaciousness of this unit. Liked that the balcony overlooked the beach, very scenic. Liked the kitchen facilities & that the unit had a washer. Was pleased that the rooms had heaters & bedroom had extra blankets because evenings were a bit cooler. Liked that we could walk down the hill & restaurants were close by. Streets in area narrow & Terrain is hilly. Parking was usually very close to our unit. Burgau is a quiet little town, an easy drive to other towns & walking trails. Just of note, if planning of preparing meals, buy groceries before coming into town because only a conveniece store with limited choices is about a 10min hilly walk away

The only thing i didnt like was having to leave, was regretting we hadn’t booked to stay longer.

It is exactly as described on booking.com. The views are fabulous from all apartments and the apartment itself was immaculate. The kitchen and bathroom are newly refurbished while the rest has an older look but they complement each other well and it feels like home away from home. The couple that own the place are extremely helpful and accommodating. The bed was very comfortable and they provided a cot for our baby. We had hot water all day and the facilities inside the apartment were perfect for every need. If you’re looking for comfort, good value and stunning location then you’ve come to the right place!

Sipping coffee in the morning and a cold beer in the afternoon on the balcony was a delight, such a beautiful view across the beach and to the cliffs opposite, the sunsets were something too and the sound of waves crashing at night a treat. The manager Miguel and the beautiful 'Tulipa' were warm and friendly hosts. The pool area was neat & tidy with an even better view down to the beach. The appts are well place for a clifftop walk to Luz and a short stroll down into Burgau for meals and drinks. Mine was well equipped, clean, spacious, and with a comfortable bed

Lots of flies in porch/entrance and hard to keep them out of the apartment. Wi-Fi could be ropey at times.

Photos don’t do the property justice (and they look good!). Big rooms. Well stocked kitchen. Patio has such an amazing view. My boys loved the pool. Miguel is an absolute gem! Very attentive to any questions or needs. Burgau was such a nice getaway, beach was amazing and not over crowded. I am hoping we can make this an annual retreat for our family; one of the best vacation experiences we have had! Thank you Miguel!!!

Be warned, no AC and can get hot at night during summer, windows open to let in nice breeze, but also mosquitoes. Not enough of a problem to diminish our stay, but you should bring some bug spray, or netting if bugs are an issue for you.

The excellent location and the humour of the owner. A quiet retreat from the busy areas of Luz or Portmão. I loved everything about this place. Large apartments, on site bar, great wifi and entertaining clientele.

The location of the apartment could not have been better, just a few minutes walk from the beach and even closer to the nearby restaurants. The apartment was clean, great in size with newly refurbished kitchen and bathroom, but still with a nice traditional Portuguese feel to it. Very nice and quiet during the nights, no traffic noise at all. Large sunny balcony with stunning seaviews over the Burgau village and beach, perfect for watching sunsets. Parking was available underneath the apartments, which was very handy. The pool area for residents on top of the cliff top was great with lovely clean pool, plenty of sunbeds and simply gorgeous seaviews overlooking whole of Burgau and the beach! Fran was very helpful with all our questions before our arrival and Miguel was great and very friendly on site throughout our stay 😊 We will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it!

A curtain on the kitchen window would provide a bit more privacy from the flat opposite, but not a big issue at all.

Very nice apartment with bedroom/kitchenette and living room By far, best feature was the back porch with a view down into the town and beach. That porch alone makes it a great place to stay. Cliff walk starts at the end of the hotel; great way to start your day. Multiple restaurants to choose from; all we tried were fun and offered good food and great sangria!

View of beach, town and sunset wonderful. Check in easy. Nice to have a full appartment with kitchen and separate bedroom. Fancy towel warmer rack and mirror defogger in bathroom, first time we had those on our trip. Comfortable supplys for 2. Pool wind protected. Nice village to walk around the small streets. Beach clean and not crowded but was preseason and too cold. Street parking available preseason.

Google directions bad. Single lane streets in village for driving a bit daunting.

The view was the highlight. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was adequately equipped. The living space was large and the balcony in a fabulous spot for the best views. The bath room was modern with nice walk in shower and fixed glass panel. The kitchen was modern and the rest of the apartment decor preserved a bit of traditional local charm.

The toilet seat was a bit wobbly. Parking is a bit tricky because the street is so steep, though we always found space very near by. Plenty of places to eat but you do need to book and most only take cash
