Quiet location. Small, friendly hotel. Easy walk to beach and supermarket. Some decent restaurants nearby. Good parking facilities. Pleasant library. Comfortable room, large bed, good kitchen facilities.

Did not enjoy breakfast. Dried out hot food, stale pastries, limited choice for non meat eaters - also in the restaurant. If we stayed again, we would make our own breakfast in the room. Smokers on the balcony below. Pool area could be expanded.

The apartment was very clean, tidy and of a good standard. The balcony was a useful size able to sit out even us sun bed. The apartment over all was very spacious. Will definitely be returning.

The bed was the worst I have ever slept on, seemed like it was past its best, with no give and could feel the springs through the mattress. Hence my rating of only good, would have been excellent otherwise.

This was a beautiful apartment in a very convenient location. As it is February the surrounding area, including the beach was peaceful and calm. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, the daily cleaners were great! We enjoyed the pools, the bar, restaurant and entertainment on one night. We had a beautiful balcony and the kitchen facilities were good. The room and the beds were very comfortable.

The food in the restaurant was not exceptional but adequate. I would suggest a couple of pasta bowls for dining in but otherwise the crockery was good for two people, needs checking for four.

Everything was perfect. Very clean everywhere, including poolside. Staff were all really friendly and created a nice relaxed vibe, but were also efficient and capable. The hotel is compact but had everything we needed in terms of facilities. The room was huge with a decent size bathroom and balcony, lots of lighting options, and was cleaned daily. Kitchenette was really helpful. Importantly for me, being of Asian background, there was no hint of racism from any of the staff and they were genuinely very friendly. Location was a handy position around 7 mins walk from the beach and around the same time into the town. I have stayed in quite a lot of hotels in my time, some very high end ones, and this was definitely among the best I have stayed at in terms of vibe, efficiency, cleanliness etc.

The only small issue on staffing was that it was usually the same person responsible for waiting in the restaurant and serving at the bar so the service at the bar was quite slow a couple of times. I didn't mind too much but could see some others were frustrated. The mattress was also quite hard, again didn't bother me too much as I like it like that but can imagine many would find it uncomfortable.

The apartment was lovely with everything one would need. Breakfasts were good even though they were always the same. The staff were always very pleasant and helpful. Nice library and lovely outdoor pool; the indoor pool was good as long as one chose a time when it was not busy.

The outdoor pool was SO cold!!!! The sheets were not fitted, so they slid around on the poor quality undersheet. The undersheet just rolled in from the edges towards the centre of the bed. The pillows were not very comfortable, but they were adequate. I did not complain at the time and I accepted the situation so I'm not complaining..

The property is located on top of a hill with apartments facing the sea. We were in the superior 1 bedroom apartment and the sea views were terrific. The apartment was very comfortable and very clean. The hotel grounds around the pool were clean and well maintained. Furnishings were comfortable, modern and not shabby. The balcony was a good size stretching across the width of the whole apartment. Front desk personnel were polite and attentive. If returning to Alvor, this hotel will certainly be at the top of the list.

Nothing really but it would be nice to have a washing machine in the apartment. For a stay of more than a couple of days it would be nice to have a machine for washing the clothes.

Location is great, near a supermarket and several restaurants within walking distance of about 15 minutes. Beach is close by, we walked but there is a section of the road that doesn’t have A walking path so you need to be careful of traffic. Nice clean room. Comfortable beds .

We had lunch in the restaurant but I would say the meal was average. We ordered creamy salmon and pasta, steak and sea bass. We also ordered bread to start but it came out at the same time as the main which took about 45 minutes. Would have been nice to have the bread earlier.

Just back from a week self catering at Alvor Park. Our apartment was a great size with ample storage and all the necessities. We had a large balcony with 2 loungers and table & chairs. The grounds are really well tended and the decor in public areas in funky and modern. Loved the pool(s) , plenty of loungers and parasols to go around. We would definitely consider a return visit. My husband commented on the quietness around the premises, very little road noise or disturbance.

My one little irk would be the standard of pillows and comfort of the mattress but not enough to dissuade me from returning.

Disappointed with the gym (no photos on booking.com so we had to wait until we arrived) Location great but we did end up getting ubers every night to save time!

That was amazing! We had two summer days in the middle of the winter there. Our room was splendid: large, clean, stylish, with a balcony and a magnificent view. The kitchenette had all the utensils needed to cook, which is important for people like us who prefer cooking on their own. There is a long long branched boardwalk along the coastline nearby to enjoy both the ocean and flowers blooming in the winter.

I wish I had planned more days in Alvor.
