I spent a few beautiful weeks in the Algarve at the end of 2024. I traveled the entire southern and southwestern coast. Also the southeastern border with Spain. I tried to get to know the local people, customs, nature... I like the local market, the local simple food, fish. Until mid-December, I was swimming regularly and beautifully. I lived in different places, always for a few days. For all this, the accommodation at Pestana Alvor Atlantico Residences Beach Suites offered me ideal conditions: communication with the staff, equipment, peace, accessibility, parking space. Swimming pool:-). Thank you.

The location was great and it was near the beach. We also had use of both an indoor pool and an outdoor pool at an adjoining Pestana property. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and the balcony was nice and shaded in the afternoon and evening. The room had a cooking hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker and a nice sized fridge. The room also had aircon. I would definitely stay there again.

Location was superb near to beach and swimming pool and shop. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The apartment was a good size and the view was amazing. The flat was clean. Local Portuguese people were very welcoming. The pool and poolside was very clean.

Unfortunately the sofa bed had not been made up and we arrived at 1am in the morning so had to phone reception to get the sheets. The receptionist was helpful regarding this and made the bed. It would have been nice if there was a hairdryer in the flat and three outdoor chairs or a sunlounger since there were theee of us. I noticed that both of our neighbours had sun loungers but we didn’t.

Karolina (at the reception) and the young lady that checked me in, they both are amazing! Incredibly friendly and helpful. Karolina helped me with my late check out. I really appreciate her support and understanding, as the next place I was staying in after didn’t want to do an early check in. Loved the location, 5 seconds from the beach, and the view from my room on the rocks and ocean, couldn’t possibly dream to get a better view.

Bed mattress is for change that’s for sure. Hotel should invest in new mattresses. Cooker sometimes worked and sometimes didn’t so something to check my electrician maybe

1 minute to the Beach. Friendly staff. Even garden view is very senic, at least from the 9th floor :) Spacious room and balcony. Despite of the unappealing outside look of the building quite nice inside. Kitchenette equiped sufficiently for simple meals and well equipped for breakfast. Filter coffee machine, toaster, 2 stove tops, fridge. Nice extra: Sauna and steam bath in the ground floor(not exactly a spa,fitting only 2-3 people each, but enough to nicely heat up). Pool towel service. Salt water outdoor and also an indoor pool - nothing too fancy, but nicevto have. Easy Parking, 3 minute drive to harbour/city center. Or a bit longer walk along the promenade.

The pool areas were completly lacking any charme or atmosphere.

The location was just ideal Quiet and in a great position to catch sunrise and sunset, all from the same room. The staff were superb as nothing was too much trouble. Made to feel welcome from the get go. The views were stunning and the sound of ocean so relaxing.

The fact that I had to leave, afterall I only booked it week. It was sad to.say goodbye. I just wish I would have discovered it sooner.

Very clean, staff were friendly and happy to assist. Pool was clean with plenty of loungers. The apartments are exactly as expected. Basic but clean. We enjoyed our stay and will consider returning. Supermarket on your doorstep is handy too!

Short walk to the pool, not ideal, but we knew that prior to booking, and it didn't put us off. Construction ongoing- not ideal, but it didn't disturb us.

Very friendly reception - very clean room, nice location. There is an indoor swimming pool, but the proximity to the beach means it wasn't used. Nice area (if a little small) to prepare meals. Room service very efficient and pleasant. A really nice place that made us feel welcome.

The laundry facilities were a little primitive and expensive. Small gripe, really. There is a shop on the resort - but it is very expensive. Best to use the local Intermarché.

Comfortable and clean. Salt water swimming pool with brand new sun beds and toilet block👍😎

Pestana are obviously making an effort to clean up and modernise, but need to make more efforts to keep the pool area exclusive, to many outsiders know how to avoid the security gates, which have not been fitted properly.

Beds too hard and waterproof under sheets. The room needs an update and not like shown in pictures but it looks like they’re in the process of redecorating room by room
