The hotel was very clean. Room was small but ideal. Lots of wardrobe space and spotless and serviced everyday. Pool area was nice and clean. Staff were very friendly. Lovely housekeeping team. The receptionist who checked us in was very nice & helpful. Also the man in the pool bar was very pleasant. Great that you could get a fresh pool towel each day with a small deposit at the start of the stay.

The breakfast wasn’t great. Also they should monitor people hogging pool loungers and not using them. Or get more loungers & umbrellas. We had to go to the beach most mornings as all the loungers were reserved with towels from early which we read in the information book was not allowed.

THIS HOTEL IS 5 MINS AWAY FROM THE CENTRAL AREA WHERE THERE ARE NUMEROUS BARS AND RESTAURANTS LOCATED DOWN A MYRIAD OF NARROW STREETS. THE HOTEL ROOM WAS EXCELLENT AND THE POOL AREA HAS PLENTY OF SUN BEDS AND A GREAT POOL SIDE BAR THAT SERVES LUNCHTIME SNACKS AS WELL AS BEERS AND COFFES ETC. BREAKFAST WAS ALSO EXCELLENT WITH A GREAT CHOICE OF HOT AND COLD ITEMS, NO COMPLAINTS. IT ALSO HAS FREE PARKING IF YOU'RE DRIVING.

WE THOUGHT THE HOTEL WAS CLOSER TO THE BEACH THAT IT ACTUALLY WAS, PROBABLY OUT FAULT, ITS ABOUT A 10-15 MIN WALK AWAY BUT WELL WORTH THE EFFORT, ESPECIALLY THE CAVES! NOT ALL ROOMS HAVE A BALCONY WHICH DIDN'T REALLY BOTHER US, BUT SOME QUESTS WE SPOKE TO WERE UNHAPPY ABOUT THIS.

Almost everything! All the staff were friendly and helpful, the whole place was clean and smart, and the location couldn't really have been much better.

I would have given the hotel all the stars possible except for two things: first of all, they had no margarine for people who don't tolerate dairy. Admittedly I didn't tell them in advance; but I'd never before come across a hotel that didn't. They did offer olive oil as a substitute; but although I told the reception staff nothing seemed to have been done about it. The second thing, and very minor thing, was that although breakfast was good and plentiful, it didn't change at all during the week we were there, so we did get a bit bored with it.

The location of the property was excellent for getting around the town for shops and restaurants. The beach was also easily accessible to walk to . Our room was comfortable and we booked a room which had a balcony which was nice to sit outside having a coffee or drink . Any of the staff we spoke to were very friendly

If I had to be picky, they could do with drawers in the bedroom as there isn’t a huge amount of storage space and more umbrellas around the pool area as there isn’t a lot of shaded areas.

Very good location, a few minutes walk from the town centre and about 15 minutes to the beach. Breakfast was very good. We had a studio with kitchen area. Room was nice and quiet as situated at the back of the hotel, the view was of the carpark though. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

The pool furniture needs replacement. Only a few functioning umbrellas so little available shade in the earlier part of the day. Towels in room also need replacement.

Large airy nicely decorated rooms with good bathrooms and nice pool area. Lovely touch by staff who left a bottle of bubbles and a cake for my partners birthday. Great location only 5 mins from the centre of Alvor's restaurants and bars

Needs a couple of tweaks to really be a 4 star. Better towels, magnifying mirror in the bathroom, bar not very well appointed and indoor bar area is not somewhere you would want to spend a lot of time.

This is a lovely welcoming hotel. The breakfast was nice with plenty of choice. Didn't expect the pool bar to be open at this time in the season. Food looked very nice. The location was ideal just a short walk to the centre giving plenty of opportunity to explore Alvor.

Would have liked tea and coffee facilities in the room. But I recommend bringing your own as the kettle and cups are there. Nice touch to have some fruit in the room

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the town (5-10 mins) and a little further you have the beach (15-20 mins). The hotel was spotless, the staff welcoming and friendly. The room was great, with shutters so it keeps the sun out in the day to keep the room cool, and keeps it extra quiet at night, although there is little noise to begin with. There is A/C also. There was a kitchenette with fridge and a small hob. There is a pool with loungers and a pool bar. Breakfast has a good selection of continental and English breakfast choices. Lots of fruit!

I do think the price was bit high at an average of 166 EUR a night, but of course demand is high and supply low during the summer. My stay would have been even better if there had been a gym, or if the gym around the corner would be included and if breakfast could be eaten outside. But really, the stay was very comfortable.

Friendly and helpful approach of reception staff. Cleaning staff were also very pleasant, and timed their visits to suit when I was away in the morning and before my return in the early afternoon - it's always nice to return to find the room serviced.

I only used the room as a base, so can't comment on the pool and other services at the hotel. Likewise the only booking available to me included breakfast, which I normally wouldn't include. I did take breakfast on a couple of occasions and it was fine, although the room felt quite crowded when it filled up.
