Perfecto location for the Portimao racetrack. It's a traditional Portuguese Quinta with comfortable beds and perfectly good en suite shower .......this is not a hotel so don't expect things like tea and coffee making facilities, trouser press and a 38" TV although there was a small fridge in the room with water. .....it's a very comfortable guesthouse. The owners are lovely and the breakfast was plentiful with fresh fruit, yogurt, fruit juice, fresh bread rolls, cold meats and cheese Pastel da Natas and endless coffee. The guesthouse is just off a lovely quiet square with parking outside the property.

If you were staying for several nights you may struggle with the lack of facilities but for a 2/3 night stay it's perfect If we were to be very picky the guesthouse is not really within walking distance of the main part of Alvor due to having to walk on a very busy road without pavements but the drive only takes 10 minutes where you will find ample free parking

We had a great stay - the hosts are extremely welcoming and nice, the room is comfortable and has everything you need (kitchen, a nice terrace, right next to the plunge pool and breakfast area). The area is very quiet but just a 5-minute ride away from the village of Alvor and 10 from some beautiful beaches. There are a few restaurants and cafes just a few minutes by foot. Would come back for sure!

The owners are just fantastic and the place is very peaceful and nicely decorated. The breakfast looks great (we didn’t have it). The little pool a pleasure in the hot afternoons. House is located in the center of the tiny village, so a bit noisy given the village’s garbage collector in front and the skydive aérodrome 50m away.

As I suffer a bit from heat, air conditioning would be an asset

The owners were charming and attentive without being overbearing. We felt very at ease in this rustic, local family run home. Parking was easy outside the property. We loved the plunge pool and it was an added bonus, as was the courtyard garden. The breakfasts were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. It is easy to drive to both Alvor with its beaches and Portimao for more beaches and shopping. Pippa the dog was lovely too!

Janine is a great host, we had fantastic breakfast each day in lovely courtyard. Taxis were arranged to Alvor approx 5 mins drive (€6). We walked one day about 25mins. The showers are powerful and there’s a mini fridge with water in the rooms, all en-suite. It’s extremely quiet too. Such a lovely, different, authentic spot. Loved it and highly recommend.

We would have loved a coffee machine or access to make a coffee during the day. Although I love love dogs, some of our friends were scared of them and they’re were 3 about constantly even during our breakfast.

Great hosts, very helpful and quick in answering my questions before our stay, especially with restaurant recommendations. Room was comfortable and clean, nice breakfast. Location ideal as we needed to be at the airfield in the morning - 5 mins walk!

Not a dislike, just some advice - you'll probably need a car/taxi to get into Alvor or elsewhere.

The hosts were amazing and provided an excellent breakfast. We had a car which made the location very convenient for our travel. We'd happily book here again.

Parking is free on the streets. If you arrive late you may have to hunt for a sport but we never had a problem. This isn't really a negative in our eyes.

The owners, Jeannine and Francesco, were absolutely wonderful and treated us like family. Nothing was too much for them including loaning adaptors and getting the black tea my wife likes for breakfast. Great restaurant and sight seeing recommendations. The place was very clean, very comfortable and very nice. The house dog, Pippa, was also great!

Availability of Jeanine and Francisco, our hosts, who adviced us about some special spots, so that for instance we were lucky to see flamingoes on the nearby beach. Their warm welcome made the place enjoyable all over the stay. The breakfast was almost a meal. Not to forget to mention the daily presence of Pipa, Bob and Donna who also did their best to bring their positive mood in.
