Such a lovely small hotel, booked as we had a wedding close by and it was very affordable for the stay. We were aware of work being done next to the hotel hence being cheaper - but the building work didn’t bother us one bit because everything else was exceptional. The staff, the food and how clean it was. Maintenance was being done daily to look after pool and grass, hardworking staff. A villa is currently being built so if you’re looking to book in the nearby future and you ask yourself why it’s so cheap this is the reason but despite this we will be back for a further short stay(stayed 4 nights)

The only downside was the beds being uncomfortable but again due to the price for the stay it wasn’t a big deal

VERY GOOD freshly prepared breakfast - in my opinion five-star hotel standard. In early spring nights in Portugal can be quite cold - but in this hotel the air-condition was able to work in reverse mode so it could provide heating when needed - excellent ! Actually this is often not possible in many other hotels.

The hotel is a bit difficult to find because the name Vilamar only is shown in VERY small letters on a wall. An M-like logo is visible - but what if a guest only remembers the name Vilamar and not the logo ?

The property was well designed. Easy access to good clean swimming pool. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent standard of rooms. Near local bus transport and in easy walking distance to the local town .

Unfortunately they had a building been built near to them. Not their fault. Beyond their control.The builders were not there all the time and not over the weekends. I would still highly recommend this hotel .

Amazing. Such good value for money, beautiful location and a short drive away from the center of Lagos. Beautiful views from the pool area as well as from your own back door of your room. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to get away from it all, literally.

Not the fault of the hotel, but it is very far from the center of Lagos IF you don't have a car, as public transport is not frequent and it would be an 1hr30min walk from the hotel. But if you have a car, you'll be perfect. Otherwise, I'd recommend just staying near the hotel and enjoying the quiet of the small town of Luz. If you have to go to Lagos, you won't need more than a day.

All of it. The apartment is spacious, with a small cozy patio on the poolside. The bed is comfortable and the sofa next to it is very useful during travel. We loved the location, pool and walkability. The staff and service were amazing. We were given helpful tips for exploring the coast not present in any of the guidebooks. We strongly recommend the breakfast , it was delicious …. We will be hopefully back next year. Obrigada Vilamar.

The furnishings are a little dated… but in perfect order, otherwise all was perfect.

The location is very nice and the property in general is clean, nice and well equipped. The staff is super nice and available. The pool area was the cherry on top.

We didn’t know that lunch time ended at 2 pm even to have a sandwich, this is the only thing that we didn’t expect, we found that it is pretty early for summer on holiday in Portugal

Small property, in good location with free parking. 10 minute walk into Praia da Luz and 10 minute drive to Burgau, a lovely village with a number of restaurants.

Would have been good to have tea/coffee making facilities but you could purchase drinks and food from the bar. No parasols by the pool and no shade. This is due to the wind that is experienced.

I loved it! First, it is so less money! Then, you have a lot of space in your room! And in the garden too! The pools and the palm trees next to it give a very tropical feeling. Ocean view included. The stuff is very polite and breakfast is just 7euro with fruits, bread and coffee. I traveld as an alone woman and felt very comftable. You can feel very free and save. The area is very save, there are also no strees in luz, where its pretty and in the next street its dirty and creepy people walk around. So you can go out and come back late. What i like, is that the hotel is behind a gate sourrounded by walls. It gives this extra feeling of havibg your private space! I will come back, thanks for everything!

The property is in a great location, it is clean, and tidy. With a nice pool, and terrace. Costa and his team are very polite and helpful, and will go out of their way to help you, and make you feel at home.

The room was large, clean, comfortable, with all of the amenities that I could have wanted. The restaurant served a delicious breakfast in a calm atmosphere for a ridiculously low price. The location was as good as it gets. The daily rate was incredibly low

Some more toiletries would have been nice
