Apartment was super. Extremely clean and everything provided was great quality. We had a lovely big balcony, dishwasher, washing machine and coffee machine as well as smart tv. Air-conditioning was very good and beds were super comfy! Pools are lovely especially the adults pool. The water, milk and local oranges provided on arrival was a nice touch and helpful as we arrived after midnight!

A bit more pool supervision - there were children in the adults pool but no one said anything. More of an explanation of the recycling would have helped so we put the right items in the right colour bin. Supermarket is a bit of a trek away and there is nowhere on site to buy water except the pool bar which is really pricey.

We loved everything about this property from the location to the facilities, to the apartment itself. We didn’t want to leave. The pictures online don’t do it justice. It’s better in reality. The apartment is huge - large living room, balconies in almost every room, big kitchen with full size fridge and dishwasher and, best of all, an entire master suite upstairs that was totally unexpected. The listing says two-bedroom. It’s actually three, including with three bathrooms. A pool (actually three pools), a bar and a restaurant are all on site, and the beach and beach bars and restaurants are about a 7-minute walk away. There were five people in our group. The apartment is more than spacious enough. Perfect AC, blackout blinds, etc. etc. I could go on. Wait, did I mention the indoor garage parking available in the building… and beach/pool towels for every guest?

We loved everything. If I had to quibble, I’d say one bathroom was a bit small, but absolutely not a deal breaker.

The apartment was a very good size and the bathrooms were well stocked with good quality products. It was also only a short walk to the main beach, bars and restaurants. Parking was al very easy.

Although the apartment was very nice it didn’t have many additional items that would’ve improved our stay. For example there was no beach apparel, such as a parasol, which would’ve improved our stay as the beach loungers/parasols were 20EUR a day to hire and with a family of 4 that added 40EUR to each beach day. This lack of ‘luxuries’ made the cost feel expensive for what you got. Also, the pool was very enclosed by the surrounding buildings and the limited space meant that it was almost impossible to get a sun bed.

We stayed here in with a 1.5yo toddler and my mother and we had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, 120m2 of space with 2 balconies on both sides, on the quiet and busier sides. There’s ample street parking, but also saw garage on the premises, just didn’t ask about it, it wasn’t very busy when we stayed in June. The pool was 2min walk, heated, with an area for small kids and a playground. The restaurant on the premises is reasonably priced and the food is good for a dinner/lunch or take away. We did a few more takeaways as the apartment has a fridge where we had drinks and ice cream, so we didn’t want to spend extra money at the restaurant. We had a car hire, which is best because we could go around to Lagos, Cape st Vincent and drive to Lidl to get supplies. The apartment had complimentary: 2 bottles of water, 2 packs of milk, 8 nespresso cups (we got more at reception 6€ for 10 pieces), a few teabags and sugar, but if you’re planning to cook, you’d need to get you own salt/oil and all the ingredients. There was plenty of cookware, big fridge and freezer, utensils. The 2 dishwasher and 2 washing machine pods get replenished on cleaning days, so every 3 days. Sheets were changed after 6 days. Great location, quiet resort spread over several streets. Praia da Luz is 5min walk, there are also more cafes/restaurants and a small market. 10min drive to Lagos for Lidl, other bigger shops, restaurants (far better priced), boat tours and just more city life vibes. At the check in they ask for 250€ deposit, which then gets reimbursed if there are no damages. There are also green beach towels in the room already, included. The bathrooms has Rituals shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and soap, a hairdryer and well-equipped first aid kit. The living room, dining room and terrace were all fantastic, we enjoyed our stay. The AC units in the living room and bedrooms saved us on hot days, everything worked properly.

We asked for a baby chair and initially we were told it’s 10€/day, which I found ridiculous, it would’ve cost us extra 100€. A simple IKEA baby chair is 20€ max. But then it turned out it was a gift from the hotel, so we didn’t pay for it in the end. It should’ve been included in the initial price, we paid quite a bit for the apartment already. I missed a shower for the beach, there were showers next to the pool, but if you come sandy from the beach, you can only rinse in the apartment bathroom or go around to the pool area, not convenient.

The resort location was excellent. On the quiter end of Praia da Luz and our apartment was exceptional for a family of 5.

The only complaint we had was that the pool area was too small for the size of the resort. It was probably fine for families with small kids. However, my 3 children were 19, 15, and 14. The two younger kids were not allowed in the adult pool, and the kids' pool was unbearable for them. The accommodation did not feel full, but the pool area was very crowded, so i would not like to see the pool area in peak season. Luckily, the beach was absolutely stunning and only a 5-minute walk from the resort, so we spent all our time there, and we would usually like to mix our day between the pool and beach.

The resort was immaculate. Our apartment was huge and immaculately maintained with regular cleaning and very well equipped.and serviced. We have beautiful views and everyone had their own space. There were three bathrooms in our apartment, with two ensuite bedrooms. The kitchen was fantastic and the beds were so comfortable. I really cannot find fault. The restaurant on site was lovely, very popular so booking is advised. We had our favourite meals here. The pool.bar is great during the day and the pools were lovely. Our kids had a great time playing tennis and pool. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. The location was a short walk the beach and restaurants and Lagos and all it has to offer was a short taxi ride way. We had a wonderful holiday and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Baia da Luz.

Nothing, all was perfect.

Lovely huge apartment in a quiet location away from the bustle of the main pool area of the resort. All the appliances were high quality and worked well. It was easy to prepay a nice meal there. We were very comfortable. The general manager Bruno was a charming young man with excellent personal relationship skills. We had a car so could easily drive down the steep hill to the resorts facilities and down to the beach and promenade for the sea and restaurants and into town for the groceries. If we were fitter and younger we could easily have walked all of this.

It’s a pity the receptionist didn’t have the same interpersonal skills as the General manager. On arriving one likes to be greeted with warmth and friendliness. We were shown where our apartment was and it was the furthest up a steep hill away from the resorts facilities it was also next to the main Lagos road. When I asked if there was anywhere closer I was told “ You booked economy apartment, the cheapest, so you have this apartment” I did point out that I hadn’t booked economy I had booked a one bedroom one because we were just 2 people and didn’t require more…. However it turned out ok because the apartment was 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms could sleep and seat 6 so it was great We were just put out by the receptionists attitude.

We had a wonderful stay. The flat was spotless, beautifully furnished, and had everything we needed. Comfy sofas, a great TV, a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, and excellent air conditioning in both the bedroom and living room. The location was ideal, just a two-minute walk to the beach with lovely restaurants nearby. Even though the flat faced the street, it was very quiet and well soundproofed. We spent every day at the beach and also enjoyed the pool and tennis court. The reception staff were fantastic. Always friendly and helpful. On my birthday, they even walked up to our flat to deliver a lovely gift, which was such a thoughtful touch. From check-in to check-out, they made everything easy and welcoming. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

We loved this property. Luz is a lovely town with a beautiful beach and waterfront promenade lined with restaurants and bars. Our resort was a short walk to the beach and to shops and restaurants. For a wider variety of groceries, there is excellent shopping in the nearby city of Lagos, a 10 minute drive away. Our apartment had a beautiful big balcony with a dining table and chairs and a variety of seating. It was tastefully furnished, the tiled floors were lovely and had in floor heating which was very welcome on cool mornings and evenings, the kitchen was well equipped and had a dishwasher and washing machine with dishwasher and laundry tabs provided and housekeeping was included - their staff dropped by a few times every week to clean, change towels and empty the garbage and recycling bins and sheets were changed weekly. The front desk staff were always friendly, helpful and took care of any issues quickly. Another positive note is Alloro, the Italian restaurant in this complex, which has excellent food , a great staff and very reasonable prices. We would definitely stay at Baia da Luz again.

There is nothing we didn’t like.

We had a short but lovely stay. The reception team were so welcoming and charming, plus the apartment was immaculate, spacious and comfortable. On a practical note, the apartment was really well equipped in the kitchen and living areas, with a lovely big balcony and for those that want/need it, strong and consistent wifi in all areas. During our visit in March, the complex was quiet, so a really relaxing break. No doubt livelier during peak season but quiet was our plan, so a big win! Restaurant and bar onsite, 3 pools, plenty of parking etc. Decent local supermarkets in easy walking distance, plus beach and restaurants. Major supermarkets and everything else you could want in short driving distance.
