Lovely huge apartment in a quiet location away from the bustle of the main pool area of the resort. All the appliances were high quality and worked well. It was easy to prepay a nice meal there. We were very comfortable. The general manager Bruno was a charming young man with excellent personal relationship skills. We had a car so could easily drive down the steep hill to the resorts facilities and down to the beach and promenade for the sea and restaurants and into town for the groceries. If we were fitter and younger we could easily have walked all of this.

It’s a pity the receptionist didn’t have the same interpersonal skills as the General manager. On arriving one likes to be greeted with warmth and friendliness. We were shown where our apartment was and it was the furthest up a steep hill away from the resorts facilities it was also next to the main Lagos road. When I asked if there was anywhere closer I was told “ You booked economy apartment, the cheapest, so you have this apartment” I did point out that I hadn’t booked economy I had booked a one bedroom one because we were just 2 people and didn’t require more…. However it turned out ok because the apartment was 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms could sleep and seat 6 so it was great We were just put out by the receptionists attitude.

We loved this property. Luz is a lovely town with a beautiful beach and waterfront promenade lined with restaurants and bars. Our resort was a short walk to the beach and to shops and restaurants. For a wider variety of groceries, there is excellent shopping in the nearby city of Lagos, a 10 minute drive away. Our apartment had a beautiful big balcony with a dining table and chairs and a variety of seating. It was tastefully furnished, the tiled floors were lovely and had in floor heating which was very welcome on cool mornings and evenings, the kitchen was well equipped and had a dishwasher and washing machine with dishwasher and laundry tabs provided and housekeeping was included - their staff dropped by a few times every week to clean, change towels and empty the garbage and recycling bins and sheets were changed weekly. The front desk staff were always friendly, helpful and took care of any issues quickly. Another positive note is Alloro, the Italian restaurant in this complex, which has excellent food , a great staff and very reasonable prices. We would definitely stay at Baia da Luz again.

There is nothing we didn’t like.

We had a short but lovely stay. The reception team were so welcoming and charming, plus the apartment was immaculate, spacious and comfortable. On a practical note, the apartment was really well equipped in the kitchen and living areas, with a lovely big balcony and for those that want/need it, strong and consistent wifi in all areas. During our visit in March, the complex was quiet, so a really relaxing break. No doubt livelier during peak season but quiet was our plan, so a big win! Restaurant and bar onsite, 3 pools, plenty of parking etc. Decent local supermarkets in easy walking distance, plus beach and restaurants. Major supermarkets and everything else you could want in short driving distance.

Beautiful location with swimming pool, 5 min from the beach. My flat overlooked garden, had almost all the amenities in the property. Very clean, fresh renovation and quite, which is great for switching off. I would like to thank the owner of the flat - really good property

Nothing negative to say about the properly but have few pointers about Resort and Services: 1. The kettle was switching off the power (when I called they told me it’s a common problem). I was told it would be replaced right away but no one showed up, so no tea last morning there. 2. The cafe bar opens only around 12, so you would have to buy your own breakfast/coffee night before and prepare inside flat or walk to the promenade to find smth there if any places are opened (~ 10 min) 2. The gym or padel court would be a great addition to the property. Unfortunately everything has been booked in Luz :(

The apartments were clean and well equipped. The onsite restaurant was lovely and the pool bar and snacks were also good. It was only a short walk to the lovely beach

There were 2 pools - one adult, one for children. The adult pool was lovely and quiet for a few days until a larger family group arrived with older teenagers. They were dive bombing into the ball, shouting and screaming and playing balls - all not allowed in the adult pool. The pool attendant did nothing. I did complain at reception, but the following day when balls were being thrown in the pool the attendants said nothing until an annoyed adult threw the ball away from the pool. It was a shame as the pools are really lovely and provide both peaceful adult and lively children's space if used properly.

Baia de Luz is a very well maintained complex 5 minutes walk from the beach and promenade in Luz. Pool side apartment was very big and comfortable. Place was spotless. The Allora restaurant on site was great and good value. We loved the resort town of Luz. Surprisingly quiet in mid July ! No strip or loud disco bars / clubs. Definitely caters more to young families and older clientele.

The only improvement I would suggest is to have proper sun beds or at least comfortable chairs in the huge balcony. The hard plastic chairs are not conducive to sitting out on the balcony in the shade which I would have liked to do. Sun beds by the pool are comfortable and there is enough room to accommodate two of those on the balcony

Large apartment. Secure. Great swimming pools for the adults and a separate one for children. The cleanest of places and well looked after.

Separate couples and singles should be booked in apartments away from children! We had 4 noisy children, with inconsiderate parents staying above our apartment. The shouting, screaming and crying didn’t stop from 6am to 11pm! We complained and were only offered another apartment one day before we left! The attitude of the staff was ‘we can’t plan in advance to place you in a quieter area for the future’, so sadly we won’t come back.

It's was amazing. Comfy beds & pillows, spacious apartment, beautiful views. Large balconies. Great pools, one for adults & also a large family/kids pool with a little shallow one for babies. Playground attached also. Excellent Italian restaurant attached too. No complaints at all. Just a short walk to restaurants & shops and the lovely beach!

Decent apartments with everything you need in the kitchen. Comfortable bed. Generally very quiet as located on the edge of town but only a few mins walk to the beach. Some coffee pods, teas and milk provided. Heated pool.

Some salt and pepper and washing up liquid would have been useful. My apartment was fairly dark but in the summer will probably mean it stays cooler (has air con anyway). Only one plug in the kitchen which was slightly annoying.

Beautiful property, very comfortable and convenient. Amazing pool, and very nice and friendly staff. Place was very clean.

Initially the beds were like cement. However, staff topped it off with a topper and the beds became a bit more comfortable. Unfortunately, I still feel that the beds need to be upgraded to more comfortable beds as the mattress is extremely hard like a box spring and not a mattress. Also, our bedroom was next to the metal gate, so we could hear people coming and going as the gate kept on slamming every time someone accessed it. Walls were paper thin.
