Everything was clean and also is constantly kept that way, big shoutouts to the staff.....but also the owner. They're all doing a great job, are very charming to keep this gem in the countryside tidy and nice. I don't know about the street facing rooms, but our one was very quite at night. We could hear owls and birds, very relaxing. Also the breakfast had varies of options, enough choice on every morning. Would recommend and go there again 👍

A few people have mentioned some stuff being dated. Although that kind of is correct, I rather call it having a soul and face. And nothing to worry about it. The most "delicate" areas like bathroom and beds were very clean. Maybe important note: you most likely need to have a car/(motor)bike. For everything you need to get out and we haven't seen any facilities in a relatively short walking distance. Second note: the place seems very dog friendly. During our one week stay, we noticed at least 5 guests with dogs. Something to perhaps keep in mind in case dogs aren't your thing for any reason.

This is a lovely family run hotel, and has a very friendly atmosphere. We really loved our stay here and the everyone that we met was very helpful. The owner, Sylvia, even gave us a lift back into town the next morning so that we could carry on walking along the Rota Vicentina.

When we booked the hotel we hadn't realised that it was so far out of town, and didn't have a restaurant. As we had walked from Salema on a very hot day we didn't want to walk back into town, but we were able to get a pizza delivery, and Silvia gave us a lift into town the next morning, so it wasn't a big issue.

Silvia and her family and staff were absolutely lovely - helpful, warm and happy, very friendly, accommodating and great communicators! The linens were exceptionally clean and fresh- I’ve never seen whiter sheets and fluffier towels!! We enjoyed very delicious breakfasts with lots of selections and Licinia’s “made fresh daily” cakes were scrumptious! The ample parking space was much appreciated too.

The location is quite comfortable, you can reach Lagos in 15 mins by car. The hotel has quite large guest private parking. The Lady (owner) was super nice and friendly. Even though there were only a few guests in the hotel, we had a warm welcome :) The breakfast was good, with some home cooked treats. There is also a swimming pool, just opposite from the room entrance, which looks really good.

The only thing I didn't like is that AC is located opposite to bad. I suppose it can bring you some issues while working at night

Great family place to stay! Open and friendly personnel, walked through and shown everything around. Rather big and spacious family room, which was cleaned every day! Possibility to cook or warm up meals in the common kitchen was a great addition. Also noticed some BBQ places outside. Included breakfast was satisfactory (classic continental one). Family members enjoyed visiting swimming pool and sun beads next to it. Wi-Fi was good enough.

Breakfast could be slightly better (at least scrambled/boiled eggs), also instant coffee was rather tasteless. Lack of gluten free bread/pastry.

everything corresponds to the description and photos. Great place from which you can visit different places and beaches. Friendly staff. There is a kitchen where you can cook on your own and a barbecue area outside. We bought fresh fish and coals and barbecued the fish in the evening. Very tasty and much cheaper than in a restaurant. In the morning we cooked shrimp and dined on the beach. I advise everyone to choose this hotel. Many visitors were with dogs and at the same time there was complete silence in the hotel. Thanks to Sylvia for suggesting where to go to the beach.

The place is more like an old spanish fashion mansion than a hotel. Swimming pool is nice, there are activities (table tennis, biliard, dvd) to do even if weather is not good. Breakfast was good, with a lot of homemade cake. Of course you need a car because it's not far from Luz or Lagos ( a few minutes drive) but you can't walk anywhere from the hotel.

There are some small things that would make "life" better. The shower had no shelf, a bit annoying whe you use it. Air conditioning system was leaking in the terrace. More pillow options (maybe we sohuld have asked..)

Everything was very clean and well taken care of. Silvia’s service was exceptional — she was so welcoming and helpful throughout the stay. The breakfast was also wonderful, with fresh and tasty options.

There was nothing I didn’t like. Everything met or exceeded my expectations.

Fantastic service, wonderful and quiet location surrounded by nature. Comfortable and spacious room. Nice swimming pool and very good breakfast. On top of that friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The hotel is pet friendly with a very convenient free parking. I fully recommend that place even for longer stays.

Some rooms may require a bit of renovation, but it`s not a big deal.
