Mar da Luz has very nice apartments. The apartments at the ground floor have a private swimming pool, the ones at the first floor have a big terrace with nice view over the ocean. Our apartment was big with two sleeping rooms and two bath rooms. The kitchen was fully equipped with oven, microwave, dishwasher, two coffee machines (filter and capsules) and a toaster. There was a big smart TV and airco / heating system. Next to the big terrace (with the view over the ocean), there were also two smaller terraces. There is also a hot tub, but it seemed a bit old and not clean (so we didn't use it). The reception is located in the central building, next to a small fitness room (with some cardio machines, one (rather old) multi-function machine and enough dumbbells to keep your musles fit) and a spa area (with a small but nice indoor swimming pool, a hot tub and a nice sauna). The personnel and cleaning staff were really friendly. Wifi connection was good and fast. The resort is located in a very quiet neighborhood, 5 km out of the center of Luz. We were not in high season which could explain why it was also so quiet in the resort itself (it has 15 rooms, 6 were occupied when we were there in April). There are some restaurants close-by, but you need a car (or bike) to get there.

The garage has very small parking spots and a narrow entrance. Luckily we got a different parking spot which was a (bit) bigger.

Everything was great. Home away from home. Especially with small children it was good to have everything on hand. It was close enough to the beach but not too close where u hear all the night life. Very relaxing.

Only complaint is we had ants around the garbage and through the floor out the door. Also I don’t know if that’s a custom but no one came to clean the apartment. Just asked if we needed towels by the front door once. Which it’s fine but at least if they came in and got the garbage. Other than that it was a pleasant stay

It’s quite big, good internal heated pool and sauna, has private pools. If you have room view it’s also nice plus. Very good shower. Overall nice considering very affordable price . Reception is also very polite

issue is the cleaning, not sure why,but for 4 days of our stay room was never cleaned, not sure - may be it’s the policy ..but for towels and all was not practical. for us it’s was not an issue, so ok. Another point is the chaise-longs in the room near the pool,they are so tired and broken so it’s downgrade the view

The apartment was spacious, comfortable and extremely clean. We were given a high chair and cot for our toddler which was extremely helpful (albeit I think a bit steep at €140 extra). Management did their best to help with any issues we had and we had a lovely & very relaxing stay! The gym and indoor pool facilities are also great and well maintained.

The pools, especially our private one was freezing cold so we couldn’t really use it. A gate would aid in safety for small children, I think some of the apartments have them as they are in the pictures.

The apartment was beautiful and was lovely for a special occasion. Having 3 bathrooms was perfect for each of the 3 bedrooms. The indoor pool was a bonus and we enjoyed spending time using this facility. The resort itself was very quiet and so facilities where easier to use. The view from the balcony was amazing both during the day, for the sunrise and at night for looking at the stars.

The resort is quite far from any restaurants and shops and we found a car was a must. The directions to get to the resort where not as clear as they needed to be and so one recommendation I would have is for the directions to be improved for those self driving as we did get lost several times. I would also have liked there to have been some welcome supplies for when we arrived. Given how far away the property is from shops it would have been very handy to have had some supplies to get us through the first day, some milk, coffee, biscuits, kitchen roll etc for example.

We have everything we need, 3 big rooms + 3 bath + 3 toilets, kitchen, washing machine, indoor swimming pool. The support is very quick (either by phone in working hours or by booking messages). Private parking.

First day, we are a bit worried about the ant, they were everywhere, but with the cleaner help to spray, they seemed almost gone.

Wow!!! This is the best word to describe our apt at Mar Da Luz. An unforgettable vacation. Located in the peaceful town of Luz, this resort is ideal for families who want a perfect vacation. Our apt was very spacious, two baths, nice balcony and garden and a private pool which we all loved and used a lot. The kitchen is fully equipped, which made the cooking very easy. There is a private parking space for each apartment. The resort offers an outdoor pool, which we didn’t really use because we had our own, and an inside pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and Hamam. The indoor facilities were fun to use in evening times when it’s colder outside. There is a small gym as well. The resort is 10 min drive from downtown Lagos and a few min from the center of Luz. We stayed for a week and loved every minute of our vacation. I forgot to mention how clean the place is. Every couple of days our towels were changed and apt cleaned. Would definitely come back!!!

This wouldn't stop me staying again but 2 small things: Only provided with 1 key, can be limiting Wooden decking on balcony in need some TLC (just if wearing no shoes) But again only minor, lovely apartment

spent a wonderful tim off the beaten track at this resort , great facilities in the gym and spa lovely swimming pool and great walks along the cliffs into either Bargau or Luz , if its a peaceful few days you are after there is no better place but if you want a bit of life it's only a uber away
