Fantastic Stay in a Prime Location This property is in an excellent spot—just a 3-minute drive to the town centre, and the shopping mall is a short stroll away (only 5 minutes on foot or 2 minutes by car). 🍽️ Breakfast was delicious, with a great variety of both continental options and hearty cooked dishes. Although we didn’t dine in for dinner, the buffet looked beautifully arranged and offered a tempting selection of mains and desserts. 🛏️ Our room was spacious, impeccably clean, and comfortable. The swimming pool was a lovely bonus—clean, well-maintained, and equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas, perfect for relaxing. 🚗 Getting around was easy. The property is about a 30-minute drive from the airport; we took an Uber for £35, which was reasonable. 🌴 We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had a chance to explore the surrounding area. Whether you’re stopping over or planning a longer visit, I’d highly recommend this place for its convenience, comfort, and excellent amenities.

I had a very good stay at Novotel Setubal. The location is good, no complaints about the room in terms of comfort and cleaning. The Breakfast had a good variety of products, all very fresh and tasty. I want also to give a very good compliment to all the staff in special those allocated to the breakfast working tirelessly to provide room for all the guests and the lady in de bar that prepared tasty Gin and tonics :). The only remark was the pancake machine that was not working properly.

the facilities. The room, breakfast and pool setting were beyond my expectations and fantastic value for money. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The pool, albeit not very big, was an absolute godsend in these past days, over 30 degrees.

The wifi could be stronger, as well as the TV interface. A simple smart TV with a casting function works perfectly well without the unnecessary login and pairing steps. i am also a big fan of scrambled eggs - unfortunately, the ones offered at breakfast weren't great and felt too industrial

Very friendly helpful staff at reception ( particularly Anna and Beatrice - but in fairness all staff we met were super ). There was a warmth and a genuine desire to make our stay pleasant from the start. Pool is lovely, everything spotless and working, lovely fresh smell in hotel, breakfasts (fruit beautiful) were excellent! Even had spirulina / matcha every type of seed. Pool towels replaced every day and fluffy and new!

Spacious room, lovely brand new bathroom, smart TV with YouTube & Netflix. Although the Netflix didn’t work on the TV, we were happy with YouTube. Lovely swimming pool area, staff were welcoming & warm towards us everyday. Great location in Setúbal & a reasonable distance from Lisbon which was great for when heading to & from the airport. Overall it was a lovely hotel, lovely stay & I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Housekeeping was also great & speedy!

There was honestly nothing that I didn’t like about the property or our stay.

Free parking, good location to explore area with car. Multiple shopping centers around. Lobby, bar and restaurant areas look great. Friendly staff. Really great breakfast! OK internet.

Room felt small and also bit dated (only bathroom is renovated). Some weird smell from outside. Aircond is old and smells when heating. Kids corner is poorly equipped. Price is too big for what you get.

Good value for money. Free parking available, friendly staff. Nice breakfast selection, the kids loved the pancake machine. :) Rooms were cleaned every day, I was overall impressed how clean everything around was. Just 30 minutes driving from Lisbon and maximum one hour from all main attractions around: Sintra, Cascais, etc..

Although breakfast selection was good, we would have loved to have some legumes (tomatoes, cucumbers, etc...) available. Also, in the room the TV was an old one, we were traveling with kids and some evenings we would have loved to have the opportunity to play a movie on it, but it was practically impossible (no HDMI input, no smart TV functions - Netfix, Youtube, etc...). I understand the hotel is currently under improvement works, I hope this changes in the future because we plan to return.

Location was good, close to the port and to roads towards Serra Arrabida, decent play zone for the kids, decent swimming pool and playground (just the playground floor was black and therefore fairly hot to step on), absolutely fabulous breakfast, friendly staff.

The bathroom was worn out and would deserve an upgrade as would the mattresses which were very uncomfortable and completely worn out too. The minibar could also be bigger and better equipped. I was a bit dissapointed with the dinner menu and quality, once I had a Caesar salad which consisted of Rocket salad that was clearly leftover from morning breakfast service and a very dried grilled meat which was cold so I guess that was taken from leftovers of lunch. That meal was not particularly good experience and I could not even request a new one as it was quite late and we were there with two little kids so I just had to eat quickly whatever I was given. I would expect hotel staff to ensure the quality of the food served which wasn't this case unfortunately.

About the hotel, nothing to report. About the booking reservation I have to say.. the hotel contacted me to confirm if I did need the room with wheelchair adapted room or bathroom, something that I never reported as needed. Booking has booked a room like that for me and I only reserved a room for three adults (one teenager and its parents). Why have Booking booked a room like that in first instance?

The hotel is located in a good area, close to the entrance to the city (close to the highway), markets, gas stations, etc. The parking lot is quite spacious, free of charge. The staff is polite, the rooms are clean, quite spacious, equipped with a small fridge where you can find water, juices, beer. Rich breakfast, like a buffet, that pleases everyone. The hotel is equipped with padel courts and swimming pools.
