The hotel appears to have been recently updated, new paint, carpet, wall coverings. We had a very nice view on floor 1, the lowest floor, containing 'standard' rooms. The pool is on this level, but the sea can be seen just past the pool walls. If you want a more unobstructed view, choose a room other than the least expensive. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. We were welcomed with an Easter treat delivered to our rooms. Large KING beds. Rain shower head. Secured parking. We would definitely stay here again.

Everything was fine!

The window view is trully astonishing! It's worth it! You get asleep to the sounds of the ocean and you wake up to the light noises of ocean waves. Rooms are soundproof. You can never hear any other sounds expect for those of the nature outside. So the sleep was trully peaceful.

- The cleaning stuff was really too persistent entering the room in the morning without our concent. - The bathroom was very tiny: as you open the door, it blocks access to the toilet and towels. - Hot breakfast was a typical one: eggs, bacon, beans and tomatoes. But it was warm (almost cold) in fact, overcooked (both eggs and bacon) there were no additional vegetables except for tomatoes, choice of fresh fruits was very poor as well, however the choice of bread and pastry was astonishing. So in fact it was difficult to have a nutritious and healthy breakfast.

Upon arrival the women at the desk upgraded us for no reason and offered to make us wine tasting reservations. She was extremely friendly and so very helpful. the room was amazing. Listening to the waves at night gave me the best night sleep. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was 10 plus as well as our server!

Fabolous view from room, dining areas, and public areas in hotel, access to beach, and nice walk along coast to Praia de Maca from the hotel - beautiful views of coastline. Hotel decor and rooms very nice, staff so so so helpful, and very accommodating to needs, Enjoyed the lovely selection available for breakfast each morning, limited options on evening menu for the "fussy" eater, but other options available in the area., Nice coffee shop also on site. An ideal base for trips to Cascais, Mafra and Ericeira, the bus stop beside the hotel, is perfect, we chose to use public transport for a trip to Lisbon, getting bus to Sintra, and train from there to LIsbon,

Only fault we could identify was that the room a little cool at night, and needed an extra duvet, which rectified the issue.

The hotel was very welcoming from the moment we got there - there is even an entrance lobby cat, too - so sure of his beauty that he ignored just about everyone ;). The view from the lobby was as breathtaking as from the rooms - the beach, rocks at the end of it and the ocean - wonderful. The room was spacious and very comfortable - plenty of space to leave your luggage out of sight. The bathroom was big, too. And a comfortable bed. The sea water pool is truly enormous and although there were just a few swimmers every day - the pool and the surrounding area were cleaned daily. We were there for 7 nights and although breakfast was varied and tasty, I could have done with some changes, but I realise it is not easily achievable, so I don't mind - one day scrambled eggs (well made, too), hard boiled eggs the next, toast and jam one day, rolls with cheese/ham the next. Fresh fruit was good, too, plus a bowl of fruit to take. And coffee was very decent :) The staff were attentive - picking up plates, cups and bowls quickly. AND smiling! The staff at the reception desk were very helpful. All in all we had a wonderful week at Sintra and would come back. Thank you.

The best part of our stay here was the exceptional location. Literally, we were on a beach. The constant sound of the waves was so relaxing and mesmerizing. It was wonderful. The hotel is very nice. Our room was very clean and quite comfortable. The staff members were friendly and helpful, both at the reception desk and in the restaurant. The breakfast was great, offering many varied choices from savory (eggs, meats and cheeses) to sweet (pastries and fruit). Couldnt ask for more. There were a few really good restaurants within walking distance. We went to one of them twice.

The welcome was efficient, friendly and informative. The hotel is contemporary with excellent interior design. The room was spacious, very clean and with additional facilities a kettle, fridge etc. Bathroom was large, and everything thought of. Views of the sea were welcome. It was nice and warm and the beds were comfortable. We also ate at the hotel, and the meal was delicious. Again, very friendly and helpful restaurant staff. The breakfast was varied and again, very good quality.

We were able to hear the people in the room next door, this was the only thing that detracted from our stay. It was not noisy, but incessant coughing during the night was a disturbance. We were on the ground floor, and I imagine the superior rooms wouldn't have this issue.

The bathroom was rather dated, with a window into the bedroom, that meant you had to have the curtain drawn the whole time. Frosted glass would have been better or a one-way mirror, to allow light in, but to maintain privacy. The second bedroom had no window and we just used it to store our luggage, but I guess it would be OK for small children. We went for the half board option, but had I known in advance how limited the options were, I probably wouldn’t have chosen it. The food was generally OK, but after 3 nights it got rather boring. I also don’t eat meat, so my options were even more limited.

Beautiful pool, the restaurant / café had lots to offer, the food was delicious and really good quality. All rooms have a sea / pool view and we even got upgraded to a higher floor. Really nice & spacious bathroom. Really REALLY friendly staff. They really made the difference!

No plug sockets next to the bed. Our bathroom smelled of sewage occasionally (but our own fault for not complaining about it). Charged us 6 EUR for using the pool table for an hour? I don't think that's necessary, looking at the price we paid for the hotel. Again, breakfast was good but for the price we paid I would expect pancakes and slightly more variety!
