Beautiful, superb maintained little boutique hotel not far from Sintra and the coast. The room was spacious, very comfortable and beautifully decorated and cosy. If we reallwant to split hairs here, the view to the car park of the nearby pharmacy was the only thing that didn’t impressed us. The other common spaces were great, nicely decorated as well. The staff was very friendly, polite and welcoming, the breakfast was good and overall it was a surprisingly pleasant stay, would definitely go back or recommend!
The view tot the car park and the breakfast room was a bit too “busy”

Breakfast was great - lots of options. Very friendly and helpful staff. Even got to enjoy a little time out back by the pool. Room was right by the front door but it wasn't loud at all. Overall, enjoyed the stay although there were a couple cons.
Room smelled musty (older house so understandable) and the shower didn't have conditioner (only shampoo and body wash). The location was just fine. It was a little bit far from the palaces as it was on the other side of the mountain and I didn't realize it's a one-way road so we had to go all the way around to get to them. There also is not much to do around the hotel, a couple of the restaurants nearby were closed.

Elegant beautiful chalet, decorated with many paintings, sculptures and other pieces of art. The rooms are spacious. Ours included a sofa, many pieces of beautiful and functional furniture, high ceilings and large bathroom. The ground floor room was perfect for us as one of us has mobility issues and many of the rooms are upstairs. The breakfast was plentiful with many options including fruit, bread, meats, cheeses, salad, cereal, yogurt and pastries. Drinks included coffee, tea, juice, water and a cappuccino machine. The grounds were also lovely and the swimming pool inviting except the weather was rainy. There also is an outdoor kitchen for BBQ and drinks near the pool.
Bathtub is slippery when wet and would do with an additional mat to use in the bath when showering. The tub is large with a good shower (two heads - hand held and overhead). The step over edge is high, although there is enough area at the end of the tub to sit and transfer in and out of the tub if needed.

Wow! We truly enjoyed our stay. Chalet Vitorino exceeded our expectations and was the perfect place to end our vacation in Portugal. Mr. Vitorino was very kind and welcoming. He gave us a tour of the chalet, sharing lots of information about the property as well and the beautiful furnishings and art. He also served us an amazingly delicious tea in the very comfortable sitting room. The bedroom was lovely and well designed, and the bed was very comfortable. We also appreciated having the option of paid parking on the property as we were travelling with our two bicycles that were already packed up in boxes in the car. Breakfast was great and there were many delicious options. I would highly recommend!

Vitorino and staff were exceptionally accommodating and friendly. I was celebrating my 60th birthday with my two daughters. They surprised me with a fabulous cake and champagne. Everything about the property is meticulous. The antiques and furniture are exceptionally appointed. The living room is fabulous for gathering, and there are plenty of books about Portugal to read. Vitorino recommended Ribeirinha de Colares for dinner and it was the best meal we’ve had in Portugal. Breakfast was over the top! Wish we could’ve stayed longer. We will definitely be back.
Nothing!

We loved Mr. Vitorino and his beautifully curated Chalet! It was filled with magical art, antiques yet we felt like were at home! We were there for two nights and we planned on seeing all the palaces in Sintra, but upon seeing this chalet, we decided to just go see one palace, so that we could come back to the chalet faster. Why go see a palace, when we were staying in a mini palace:)
Some people might not like the fact that chalet is a bit faraway from the center of Sintra, but we didn’t mind it at all! Uber was very convenient

The Chalet is a very well preserved and remodeled historic home. It really makes you feel like you're in a 19th century mansion. The breakfast is buffet, varied, with many alternatives to choose from. The beds are very comfortable, the garden and pool are very well maintained. It is located 15 minutes by car from Sintra and ten minutes from Cabo de Roca. The bus passes in front of the residence. The host was very friendly and helped us better plan our stay in the city.
Nothing We should have reserved more days

It was really nice that the owners chatted a little bit with us und showed us everything. The level of detail the owner has picked every single item of the decoration and furniture is something very special and makes you feel you are in a hotel some price classes higher. The only thing he can't change is the street noice, if you don't have a stable sleep ask for one of the quieter rooms. I hope we can come again!

The property is beautiful and luxurious, and the bed was so comfortable that I didn't want to leave. Very kind and warm staff, and the breakfast was great too. Colares is a charming little town, slightly removed from the tourist center of Sintra - I enjoyed it because it felt like the "authentic" part of the country, with fewer English-speaking tourists (except for myself!). This turned out to be the highlight of my trip to Portugal, and it was in no small part thanks to Chalet Vitorino. I hope to visit again soon someday.

Vitorino was lovely, super welcoming and gave us lots of great tips about visiting Sintra's best attractions! Lots of parking options around the hotel. Great Mattress!! Was really comfortable and slept like babies. Helpful staff - adjusted well to my gluten sensitivity, and made me specific gluten-free options for breakfast.
The shower temperature was a bit hard to control, but overall it was good. The breakfast was mainly about pastries, which I guess people like; however I'd recommend adding veggies!
