This place has done everything right! A big 10 out of 10 for the location, the beautiful room and breakfast place, the warmth of the staff, cleanliness, and the garden and pool area. Great taste for design also. I would recommend this place to everyone. We were sad we could only stay two nights. It was definitely the best place we stayed in in Portugal. Arouca is a lovely city and area, full of hidden gems like walks and the hanging bridge. Good place for people who love authenticity and nature. You will find true Portugal here!

The room is spacious and beautiful. The beds very comfortable. Good shower. All spotless clean. The breakfast very good, with plenty of choice. The pool outside was just what we needed after our hikes in the mountains around. Plenty of space. We could also bring some food in and heat it and eat on one of the many tables available in the common area. Electric car charging available at a good price.

Very nice small hotel, everything seems new. I stayed at the biggest room, so I expect the other to be slightly on a smaller size. Breakfast room large and again, very nice.There is a pool, obviously it was not a season.

Nearby restaurants are 5 minutes drive away. However I suggest to keep fine dining expectations low. At least I had few disappointments. Although prices are very reasonable.

The breakfast was an unexpected bonus—phenomenal options and delicious. The service was outstanding, with everyone genuinely focused on making sure guests feel welcomed and cared for. True 100% hospitality. Highly recommend!

This is the kind of hotel where, even if you try hard to find something negative, you just can’t. Trust me—this is as good as it gets.

The property is absolutely stunning – beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and surrounded by peaceful nature. The outdoor space is fantastic, with a lovely terrace and a pool that's perfect for cooling off in the afternoons. Waking up to birdsong and enjoying coffee with a view was the perfect way to start each day.

Lovely villa and grounds. The owner and staff were very kind and friendly. Breakfast was perfect every morning. The room was very comfortable, and the bathroom was very spacious. We would absolutely return next time we return to the area.

Beautiful place, even nicer than the pictures really, very clean and comfortable! We were there in early March and had the whole place to ourselves - the common areas were lovely and we spent the evenings in front of the cozy fire. Its a great location to explore the Arouca Geopark, you can reach everything easily by car and the landscape is beautiful! 10/10 would recommend and come back for sure :)

This truly is a hidden pearl. We had an amazing stay at Casa Vieira Lobo. A warm welcome, with good information about the region and tips for local restaurants. Everything is still so new, and it was super clean. The place is very well-styled and felt really relaxing. We had a fantastic room, nice and light but at the same time we could create darkness at night. Neighbourhood is really quiet. Airconditioning was welcome and cooled down the room quickly. We had a very comfy bed and enough pillows to choose from. Also the shower was great. The breakfast was above expectations, with local produce and something for everyone to enjoy. Very good start of the day. The area is beautiful. We stayed here to visit the Passadicos do Paiva, a great walking track nearby. But I could very well imagine to use this as a stop-over for a motorbike tour. If we will return, we will definately come back here.
