The reception lady was exceptional - she called a lot of restaurants for us to help us find a place to eat. Very kind person! The room was nice, we could watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks from the bed. The hotel is also located riverside, amazing view walking outside.

A/C heat only worked for a few minutes (and after every restart). It wasn’t freezing cold but little more heat would have been nice.

The location of the hotel was perfect, right on the Camino and across the street from the beach. It was a short walk to the Cathedral. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Staff was friendly and helpful. They gave us extra hangers since we were pilgrims and washing clothes by hand at night.

They didn't serve breakfast. They had a vending machine. Fortunately a bakery was fairly close and opened early.

Perfect location for the beach, comfortable rooms and plenty of nearby restaurants and shops.

Unfortunately we had to request to move rooms due to a dog barking in a property at the back of the hotel. This wasn’t the hotels fault but this disrupted my sleep. The staff were lovely about it and moved us to a room at the front which had the sea view. Aircon wasn’t great but we had a few breezy days so this wasn’t a problem with the window open. Other than that it was a great hotel and we were very happy with our stay.

Had trouble with heating system. It would not work with the remote. Staff had to do something from their end that controlled it to get it working and then it stopped again in the late evening and it would not work again. Only complaint I had

This hotel is right on the beach. You have spectacular sea and beach views from the sea view rooms. Our room was very large with a sort of living space. There is a lift to your room. The village is gorgeous, food excellent and drink v cheap.

The hotel was very expensive. Our room didnt have a balcony, you could have got one of these if you wanted to pay a few hundred pounds more.

The Albergaria was lovely. Spacious rooms. I had the impression when booking that we had a big balcony so that all three of us could enjoy. Pictures on the website not that clear. However, these are only for the rooms with three beds and we booked two double rooms. One did have a small balcony. It was however a nice place to stay opposite the beach... all commodities close by.

Everything! Everything here is fantastic! This location cannot be matched! It’s located on the Camino and on the water, the center of town but quiet. The staff was exceptionally kind. My room was clean and comfortable. The linens were notably comfortable and the shower was hot with good pressure. Great stay!

The view is great! Ladies at desk were accommodating. Room seemed clean. Allowed extra towel & they were thick & fluffy. Balcony was great but it rained & we couldn't enjoy it.

The downside was the stairs in the middle of the room-- between bed and bathroom (had to go up 6 steps & down 6 steps). The closet on the landing of those stairs was sort of creepy.

Worth the money for the ocean view. But we were disappointed for that price to find once again 2 tiny beds (European size twins). We had hoped for 2 doubles. Also the room was arranged in a way that you could not sit and enjoy your view, or enjoy your view from the bed. A little more feng shui thinking would elevate the experience

The room, the view, the location and the staff.

Dont provide beach towels, people staying there are travellers, some on the Camino & need to travel light. Having a beach towel provided would have been helpful. Also, there wasn’t bottled water provided in the room or tea/coffee making facilities. These are usually provided at the majority of hotels.
