We stayed here the night before flying back home after a vacation. The location-- proximity to the airport and to rental car businesses-- could not be more perfect. The large lobby and pool area are inviting and where we spent the last four hours of our time. They have a great menu and bar that you can order from poolside while the kids swim, plus a wonderful continental breakfast and free shuttle service in the morning. We would 100% stay here again coming in or out of the Liberia airport.

The room is pretty small and we couldn't get the thermostat above 20 Celcius, so a chilly night of mediocre sleep. That said, it was clean and met our needs.

Our flight got delayed coming into Liberia by a few hours. We had rented a car and were planning to drive to La Fortuna as soon as we landed but due to the delay we didn't feel comfortable making the drive in the dark and decided to book this airport hotel. Although we booked extremely last minute they were able to accommodate us and our request for a room away from the elevator. We had a great experience and were able to rest up and relax after a stressful and long day of travel before hitting the road first thing in the morning. Looking back it would have probably been a better plan for us to stay the night in Liberia anyways instead of rushing to get on the road and drive a few hours to our first destination. If that ends up being your plan I would highly recommend this hotel. Facilities: The pool area with bar & restaurant was really nice, we were only here for one night but it was nice to have this area to hang out in, made it feel less like an airport hotel and more like our vacation had already started. The hotel seemed like it was new or newly renovated. Location: Great location, close to the airport but the Liberia airport isn't super busy (only a couple flights per day) so you don't get the same constant airport noise like at some busier airports. Even with less flights coming in we didn't hear a single plane our whole stay. There are some recognizable restaurants that are walking distance from the hotel (Subway, KFC, Starbucks), so if you are exhausted after your travel day and want somewhere quick and easy to eat theres a few options. There are other restaurants around as well, and the hotel has a restaurant too. Parking: Lots of parking if you have a rental car Room: Comfortable room, seemed like it was recently renovated. Quiet, comfortable beds and the TV had Netflix etc. so great place to rest after a day of travelling.

Nothing, this hotel was comfortable and provided a great base for our first night in Costa Rica before hitting the road in the morning.

Everything exceeded expectations, except the TV’s “smart” feature didn’t work. We loved the ability to return our National rental car in the lobby and not have to deal with it at the airport! Hotel is near a Starbucks and another cute restaurant we enjoyed-Meztli Coffee House which has amazing food too. The breakfast was included and was very good! Staff was great! Very friendly and helpful. Room clean and comfortable. Everything updated! Gym is nice with new equipment. Pool currently under construction but we were allowed to use the one at the Garden Inn nearby if desired.

Just the TV Issue

The rooms were simple, comfortable and clean. Breakfast and free airport shuttle are included. The buffet has something for everyone from the vegan to the meat eater, including a Tico/Tica favorite - rice and beans. And, the shuttle showed up frequently, several time within the hour. The pool was a welcome place to come cool off after a long day of touring or for that last dip in the pool before heading back home. The best part of this hotel experience was Maria from the touring desk. We had one day before heading back to the US and wanted to see how chocolate/coffee was made. Maria curated touring day that included chocolate/coffee and lunch at Tree Chocolate Tour. A.MAZE.ING this was one of the many highlights of this trip.

This property is only 1 year old. Everything is clean and in good working condition. It’s conveniently located 5 minutes from the airport. I liked the gym and the pool.

There are very few options for dinner if you don’t have a car. The restaurant at the Hampton has a $30 burger on its menu. It’s sister property at Hilton Garden inn is a 5 minute walk and they have a more reasonable priced menu with more options and more servers. The front desk could benefit from having a second staff member checking in people.

The Hampton by Hilton (LIR) is what it is. It is an American chain hotel directly across from the airport. It was clean and safe. The rooms are S-M-A-L-L. Our party was two adults and two kids, and I'm glad we only stayed one night. Again, it was fine for a one-night stay, but don't expect to be blown away.

The staff was friendly, the building must be new because it was very clean and looked new and fresh. The continental breakfast was nice and well maintained. We even sat outside by the pool to have breakfast.

We couldn't figure out the AC. The power went out in the evening but eventally came on, didn't seem like they had a back up generator. But not much to really complain about the hotel, there was not much around it except a couple resturants and a Starbucks.

We stayed here to be close to the airport as our flight left early the next morning. The shuttle service started at 5 am which was when we needed to leave so that was great! The room was very well equipped and comfortable. The room had a nice layout with a seating area, shelves/drawers, a desk, end tables, coffee machine. We didn't get to go to the buffet breakfast but got a few things in a to-go bag as we left. Was a very nice hotel.

The price of the room was high but the convenience of the location was great.

I was impressed before i came here.There was a glitch on the website, that even though i put in dates,booked it for the day of the booking,not the stay. I called the Hotel, and a gentleman called Olger helped to correct it in no time. The receptionist, the housekeeper, the shuttle driver,and the bar staff were all great. When i got to the room I couldn’t get the coffee maker to work. Tried several times, then i went into the hallway, where a housekeeper was cleaning a room. She was not the housekeeper for my room i learned later. I told her the issue,and she immediately took the coffee maker from the room she was cleaning, and swapped it for the one in my room, and made sure it was working before she left. The room was cozy, and quiet,considering how close it is to the airport. Great little coffee shop a short walk away .

The breakfast was great, lots of options and very fresh. The only thing I think would improve the breakfast is maybe extending it until 11am :)

More options on the restaurant menu. I tried to order a French onion soup and apparently they are no longer serving the soup. So an updated menu would be beneficial. Also the drink menu needs a description of what is in the cocktails so that it is easier to know what type of drink you want to order. Another small thing was that I travelled with my daughter and my husband so there was 3 of us but the first night we arrived there was only two towels in our bathroom, so maybe to know how many guests are staying in a room and making sure there is enough for all the guests :) but I really have no complaints
