Powder room had a jutting area for the safe and at a height where we got hit on the head (both of us got hit!) Automated toilet/commode controls - time-consuming, cumbersome and not very hygienic! Too much dependence on tab/ipad even for a simple lights off Shower room door alignment meant the floor outside would become wet, and the footmat had no space to be retained on the floor when the door is opened Long time for check-in and check-out (felt as if trainee staff were doing it!)

We booked two rooms at The Residency Chennai and had a pleasant and comfortable stay. The rooms were clean and cozy, with a lovely view of the city. The location is also convenient—close to local markets and with rickshaws readily available just outside, making it easy to get around. Breakfast was included in our booking. It was good overall, but a bit more variety would have made it even better. What really stood out was the excellent service. Anil and Richa at the reception desk were extremely helpful and welcoming, with great attitudes that made us feel at home. Ramamurthy, the porter, was friendly and attentive, and Krishnan at the restaurant was incredibly helpful during our meals. Overall, a solid choice for a stay in Chennai—comfortable, well-located, and made even better by the team’s warm hospitality.

Bed was so comfy with the right size pillows; we had a great sleep and rest. Spa - the staff here are lovely. My Partner Mark had a full body deep tissue massage and he was so pleased with the service. Breakfast was good and the drinks was perfect

Exchanged to different room - as soon as we noticed that the room we were given had mould and was smelling mouldy, the staff swapped us to another room which was perfect. Just wasted our time and energy. Since we were there for only half a day, we wish they had allocated a correct room so we would have saved a lot of time

The air-conditioning was just right - not too cold or hot. There were no mosquitoes, and that was a big plus. The hot water was excellent - quick to arrive and with adequate pressure. The gym was adequate, and I liked that the towels there were restocked daily. The cleanliness of the corridors and other common spaces was excellent!

The day we arrived we were given a room on the 2nd floor. That room left much to be desired. It was warm and my son even spotted a roach in the room. I asked the desk to move us, and they did. I was very happy with room 916 that we got for the rest of our stay. On one day the housekeeping forgot to restock towels. This was one time occurrence and did not happen again.

Front office staff and manager Mr Thoufeeq Gem of a person and housekeeping person kalaiarasan in seventh floor were too good 😊💯 very friendly and responsive Suite rooms are really good spotless and staffs are courteous more facilitated. Thanks 👍😊

restaurant staffs seemed annoyed always whenever we visited for buffet breakfast showing off face saying everyone is scolding whom to blame that this don't know what to say while eating they are asking shall I clear r u done eating buffet breakfast is ten o clock now 10.10 that's a worst behaviour . Pls try to keep happy face in morning while serving rather keeping annoyed face as it's your work and responsibility

Delicious and varied breakfast, spacious and clean room, very good location and close to everything a visitor might need

Staff and drivers are very friendly Especially those working at the reception help you with open arms, But unfortunately, there are some employees who are still surprised that there are black people in this world, even though they work in the field of hotels and hospitality.

The hospitality of this hotel and the people working here are really nice. They have a nice team put together. They take care of the room and other service very nicely. They also organize good breakfast for all the guests. This was my first time visiting Chennai and got to taste so many southern breakfast food items. They also have 3 good restaurants inside, out of which I visited 2 during my stay i.e The right place and Chinese restaurant Chin Chin. Overall happy with the stay here and happy to recommend it to others for sure.

I wish the gym could have been better as had a 3-4 day stay

The staff were warm, friendly and helpful. The site has been revamped significantly since I last stayed at this hotel. The bed was comfortable. The men who cleaned the room were extremely pleasant and very efficient.

The spread for breakfast has been reduced significantly compared to my last visit; one had to wait a while to be seated for breakfast unless you turn up at 7 am! Staff were much less attentive when the breakfast area was full which is understandable. There was a significant way all the staff greeted you when you arrived at this hotel - with palm on chest. This was much less prevalent this time around - to me this was kind of sad…..

Convenient location, business class hotel, good restaurant food, easy parking / pick up and drop off, ergonomic design Executive rooms. Duty Manager Raj Kumar, Concierge Raju were excellent support and very helpful. Chin Chin fine dining Asian cuisine and Pavilion super selection for breakfast and all day dining.

Loud Noise from drilling and banging renovation work on the 9th floor immediately above our Executive Room was a major annoyance for hours during the day time.

Good location. Excellent duty and F&B managers. Reasonably good breakfast. Good room service. Good house keeping.

I was met by a rather unfriendly front desk staff during check in who was indifferent to her own colleagues and could not present a pleasant front to the customers
