Staff were lovely and helpful. The room was a good size and warm. They had a fridge with tea/coffee facility in the room, iron, and iron board in the wardrobe with a hair dryer. Comfortable night was had. The bar area had plenty of tables and chairs and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast in the morning had a good selection. Cooked English, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, and bread/toast area. I had a pleasant stay and would return again.

The only thing I would say is that when I looked to make a cup of tea, there was only a coffee machine with takeout cups. There were cups on the tables, but I wasn't aware of them coming to your table to ask if you want tea or coffee served. This was confusing, and I wasn't the only person who asked me where they had the tea machine. I was not asked when I was seated at the table about tea and coffee being served at the table. This is the only negative thing i would say.

The staff was so helpful and accommodating, I was proposing to my girlfriend and the hotel staff in my opinion went above and beyond, we are definitely using this hotel again and again the room was amazing I want to say thank you to the front of house staff I'm sorry I don't know there names it was 2 woman and a man when I arrived to check in I had a few requests and questions about the night and if they could help me and my partner are so grateful we had an amazing time and are going to recommend the hotel to all our friends and family thank you for an amazing room and amazing hospitality

Very friendly staff. Welcomed me and the dog. I asked for a cooler room as England was unusually hot and I booked this an hour before arrival as I saw it had aircon. However, on arrival I was told the aircon was broken. But the receptionist did come to the room to make sure it was cool enough for us. She didn’t have to do that. Nice little bar. Great service and the young staff took turns coming to pet my dog (he loved it!). Good play to stay for an early flight.

We had a night at the Crowne Plaza John Lennon because we had tickets to see the Boss in Anfield. The hotel is well kept, clean, and up to date for an Art Deco building. There are lovely features remaining, like the staircase, which can take you back to its opening, and you can imagine how fancy it would have been. The room is a good size, and the bed was a standard double. Bedding was of good quality and we slept well. It is a good hotel for what we require. The best bit was the breakfast. It is a buffet style, where you can choose what you want. I have coeliac disease, and I was able to have most of the fried breakfast items, including the sausages, which is a first. The hotel even had a designated gluten-free area with bread and breakfast cereals. Needless to say, I had my fill. Overall, it was a decent hotel with a good breakfast. I shall use return.

In the room there was a can of still water and a can of sparkling...that was all! When I stay at a hotel, I would prefer to have more drinking water in the room. It may be in the UK, where the tap water is potable, but I do not know if the cold water is stored on site or mains fed, and I certainly don't know the history of the piping. So please provide more drinking water.

Our room was superb. Large, with a Wardrobe and drawer unit, so we were able to fully unpack. There was a pair of towelling dressing gowns in the wardrobe, and a large safe, which was very welcome. There was a large table and chair, another smaller table and chair, and we had a larger screen TV. Our bathroom was lovely. A huge bath with an overhead powerful shower. The bed was comfortable, as were the pillows. The Hotel itself was very stylish, with stunning Art Deco sweeping staircases. The staff were so welcoming, extremely friendly and very helpful. Our trip away was to celebrate my very special birthday, so we had booked on a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast basis, which was extremely good value. When Robyn in the Bar area found this out, she made sure that I was spoiled. Celebratory drinks, a birthday dessert with candles, and they sang “Happy Birthday” to me. They also arranged for balloon's, Birthday confetti, and a lovely hand written birthday card to be put in our room, on my Birthday! I was made to feel very special, and we will definitely go back.

Staff went above and beyond. We had an issue with the air conditioning which was blown out hot air all day whilst we were shopping. The room was like a sauna. We reported issue to the manager in reception. Such a polite and friendly chap, on identifying a fault with the AC unit, we were changed to a different room within a few minutes and offered complimentary drinks and ice creams to cool down. Our personal thanks to him.

Price. Extremely overpriced for a one night stay for a hotel outside the city centre. Hotel was required as an overnight “stop gap” from the Isle of Man for onward flight to Turkey. It’s a shame, as we really liked the hotel but price is something we consider before booking. Ironically on this date, other hotels in the area were also ridiculously priced but we had no choice but to book something.

We had a truly lovely stay at the hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed, which immediately made us feel comfortable. The entire stay was very pleasant — the room was spotlessly clean, and although the rooms are older, they are very charming and beautifully maintained. What really stood out was the thoughtful service. Despite our early check-out, we received breakfast to go for me and my daughters, which was such a kind gesture. The staff were exceptional — from the reception to the restaurant and the rest of the team, everyone was friendly, helpful, and professional. Everything felt truly top-notch, and I can honestly speak about our experience in only the highest terms. I would also like to extend a special thank you and express my appreciation for Ms. Linara, whose work and kindness truly stood out during our stay.

I liked the convenience of the location and the obvious history associated with the venue itself, and the historic aircraft that are at the rear of the property. The Art Deco style of the hotel was lovely - Although in parts a little tired. The water pressure in the taps and shower is some of the most impressive I've ever experienced in any hotel I've stayed at Worldwide. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

We found that there weren't enough Disabled parking spaces. Now whilst this isn't directly the fault of the hotel or it's staff having to park at the rear of the hotel without any access from that carpark and having to walk all of the way round was a bit frustrating. The air conditioning unit in our room didn't work, so we had to rely on ventilation from the windows which for obvious reasons didn't open very much. We had a room with an interconnected door and the guests nextdoor were quite noisy and we could hear a dog barking and scratching at presumably this door. At breakfast time, one of the chairs on our table was quite noticeably and obviously broken.

My room had a very nice art deco interior with views on a tarmac with vintage planes. It was also quiet. The staff were very professional and helpful, especially Matthew at reception, the waitress at the bar and waitress serving me at breakfast. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. I can recommend this hotel to anyone who is interested in aviation.

The bed's mattress could have been a bit softer. In addition, the David Lloyd club next door did not provide me access to their sauna and steam rooms, although this was advertised as an included perk on the hotel's IHG website and elsewhere. The club's outdoor swimming pool was also very dirty. I'm aware that this is a third party and that's why I have not taken this into account when evaluating the hotel itself.

Bed and bedroom wonderful, high quality. Breakfast was good and the staff were excellent, friendly and attentive, only being let down by the staff in the bar (see my comments below)

The staff serving in the bar were not attentive enough, they were often chatting together and thereby provided a poor service. It was only here that I experienced staff who were wanting. They were pleasant and did a good job when they remembered to do what they were there for, ie to care for the Hotels customers. I suggest additional training and clear instructions be given, especially continually reminding them that looking after the Hotels customers is their top priority. I hope this is helpful.
