Lovely comfortable hotel with old worlde furnishings. We were given Room 20 facing the front, with polished wood floors Beautiful large modern bathroom with bath as requested and exceptional clean with lovely hot water. Room a bit cold when arrived but soon warmed up which suited us as we do not like hot hotel rooms. Reception and Bar spotlessly clean and all the staff members we met were very friendly and helpful. Car park was a bonus too.

Pillows were a bit random, I would take my own next time. The garden and outside area could do with a tidy up as looks a bit neglected. The breakfast which was included in the price was not for me! The pastries were longlife ones which tasted stale which I know they do taste like that, I am not saying they were out of date at all, I just prefer fresh croissants. The bread for toast was the same. I would rather have paid extra for breakfast and have a choice of cooked hot breakfast and warm fresh pastries and better quality bread.

The staff were all very nice. The lady on reception on booking in was very helpful giving us information on which buses we could catch to get to the city centre and gave us two numbers of taxi firms and wrote it all down for us. We asked for more pillows as we only had one each. The lady on reception was very obliging and got us some more. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean.

Breakfast slots were very early. Partner was not impressed with continental breakfast. I thought it was fine. Room did have a funny smell to it, reminded me of an old people’s home. Mattress was very soft, you sank into it and was swallowed up into the bed. Ended up with back pain.

I really enjoyed the breakfast. It was more than adequate to meet my needs. While I did not bring a vehicle, the idea of free parking is very much appreciated as not many European hotels offer this. I wish the bar was open later than it is during the week; however, I undersand that if it is not profitable, then there is no need for it. Unfortunately, I did not return many evenings until shortly after the bar closed. Some nights, I could really have used a drink.

Unfortunately, the bar was open open late on Friday and Saturday nights.

Staff were helpful friendly hospitable room good size nice bathroom kettle tea coffee fan TV and Wi- Fi continental breakfast set you till lunch Bar down the stairs and pool table. Walked in to Liverpool city center first time but after that used Uber was told by locals a lot cheaper than a Joe Maxi. If you want a lot of buses pass by hotel we could have used the bus but just wanted into the toon quicker. Would stay again if in Liverpool again only 1.7 mile from city center for the price and very reasonable deposit for hotel in Liverpool respect the room and you get it back after 10 days if a visa card mines was debit Mastercard lucky Mrs had a Visa debit card.

The bed wasn't fixed to the wall so it moved a bit on the wooden floors . Windows had to be open cause of the heat that wasn't a problem Mrs got woken up by either neighbours or people coming into the hotel very late she couldn't tell not much room to shower between the glass shower screens but would stay again if in Liverpool again.

The Mountford Hotel is in a great location just outside the City Center, and has off-street and on-street parking. Check-in was smooth although I had to wait a while for my turn. The en-suite bathroom was sufficient but very cold in the mornings. Thankfully the central heating warmed the room up to a nice temperature. Breakfast is continental style, so no fry-up, but there are lots of options to choose from the buffet. I heard some people asking for oat milk so I think some vegan food is available. There is bar serving alcoholic drinks that is open until midnight on Friday and Saturday and a pool table available until 11pm.

The mattress was too soft for me and did cause some backache after the second night. The shower is in a bathtub and was really cramped.

Location near to The Student Village was brilliant, handy to have parking on site. Room had everything we needed. Definitely returning

Bed was exceptionally squeeky. Made me sound an absolute legend. Maybe need to tighten those bed frames

An hotel in heritage style in the Liverpool Merchants residential area. Good bus links into City and outwards with interchange opportunities to the regional rail network to Aigburth, Liverpool South Parkway, H.alewood and John Lennon Airport. Very comfortable accommodation, cold but varied, healthy breakfast included. Attractively priced for the discerning frequent traveller

The hotel demands a £50 deposit which is held for 7 - 14 days. This is totally unnecessary for bookings secured by credit or debit card and hardly helps the guests by immediately making them feel untrustworthy. For those paying cash, other, more customer friendly methods are available to extract a damage/good behaviour indemnity.

Hotel was ok for price, however, its a bit dated and worn out. Breakfast was very poor selection for continental. My room had a cracked window which I only saw the in the morning and was concerned I would lose my deposit, but then noticed other travellers had also reported it. So, no effort to rectify.

Only the breakfast. Travelled a lot and have a lot of experience with continental breakfasts. A poor selection of yogurts, toast and some dried up meat and cheese, doesn't really cut it. I was with a French colleague and he laughed when I said it was a continental breakfast.

The staff were very approachable and helpful. We asked to change rooms, as the one allocated was too small for our needs. When asked the next day if we could move, there was no issues and our luggage was moved during the day when we were out. Breakfast was continental in a well staffed breakfast room.

The rooms appeared clean and tidy, however under the beds needed attention. The first room had a broken lamp, hanging off the wall. The bathroom needed attention as the sink and tiles were coming away from the wall, and floor tiles were cracked.

Free parking for the duration of stay. Bus stop directly outside hotel for Liverpool city centre, also it is walkable from hotel to city centre.

The outside appearance of the hotel was untidy and shabby,it looked like arriving at Fawlty Towers. The Room was clean and tidy and comfortable however it was really old looking and tired and needs updating urgently, there was a few damages in the room, cracked window glass, bathroom taps missing from top of the taps, But the Room was clean and tidy.
