We had an amazing stay. George is an exceptional host who goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and valued. The room and location are fantastic, but it's all the extra details that made it so special. George provided us with welcome drinks, gave us excellent tips for eating out, provided treats in the room on arrival, and set up the room with additional treats and other touches while we were out at the pub. We had an excellent night's sleep in quiet comfort. Breakfast in the morning was phenomenal, with incredible variety and attentiveness. Great sleep, great food, great chat. Absolutely nothing was left out. Thanks so much, George, for a truly memorable stay.

Absolutely nothing. I just wish we had more time to spend in Chester.

Recently stayed with George for an overnight stay in Chester, the room exceeded our expectations with great thought put into making our stay just prefect, the bedroom had everything the traveller could need and more, tea, coffee, water and chocolates plentiful. The bathroom cabinet well stocked with toiletries for the emergency or forgotten items. The breakfast was excellent again with everything you could possibly want offered , cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt , the full English breakfast was cooked to a standard any 5* hotel would be proud of . Highly recommend to friends and family.

Nothing everything was excellent

Our stay was so enjoyable. George and Theresa made us feel very welcome and at home. The room was comfortable, warm and had everything you would need for a short stay. Although the bathroom was separate, this was not an inconvenience as it was 2 metres from the bedroom and was spacious, warm and immaculate it was well stocked with everything you could possibly need. We would recommend a stay with George and Theresa if you are in Chester it's a lovely, homely b&b and represents fabulous value for money. We will, of course be revisiting. Free parking in Chester city centre! Also, the best full English ever :) Awesome :)

There was nothing to dislike.

George is a wonderful host and made us feel very welcome. You can tell his heart and soul goes into making your stay the best. He thought about every little thing, from wine and beer upon arrival, the room included dressing gowns and slippers, tea & coffee, a selection of chocolate bars and more. The large private bathroom is fully stocked and has everything you could possibly need with a range of toiletries you can use. Everything is exceptionally clean and the room is based on the back of the house which is really quiet. There are fans in the room if you need them too. The breakfast is out of this world! Selection of cereals and fresh fruits and yoghurt. I would highly recommend the cooked breakfast, it was perfect. Location is great - opposite the park and 5-10 mins walk into the main part of Chester. If you're wanting 5 star service in somebody's home, this is the place to stay. Thank you George. We'll definitely be back next time we're visiting.

The breakfast was beautifully presented and a variety of cereals, fruits and Greek yogurt and full English. Location is ideal .. just a few minutes walk to the town centre and The Rows. Room was very comfortable and bathroom modern and a large selection of soaps and shampoos. Parking right outside the house.

I wouldn't put it as a dislike more of a caveat. If you have mobility issues you may want to discuss this with the host, George. The stairs to our room are steep so step carefully. It's part of the charm but a quick chat could resolve this.

There is nothing not to like friendly welcoming hosts who go the extra mile to make sure everything is spot on, welcome drinks, chocolates on the bed in the evening, amazing breakfast ( best cooked breakfast of our whole trip). Room was inviting and comfortable. B&b close to everything so we just parked the car and walked everywhere perfect. Thanks for having us

2 ‘be aware’ if you are not so agile you may find the steps up and down to the bathroom a bit of a struggle. Try not to time your arrival for school pick up and drop off times as you may struggle to get a car park.

We had such a lovely stay. My husband & I felt welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was cosy & comfortable, with extra special touches like Prosecco & bath robes. The breakfast was absolutely amazing definitely one of the best we have had! Everything was fresh & delicious. George the host was super friendly & helpful. He went above & beyond by calling a local restaurant for us when we couldn’t get a reservation. Thanks to him knowing the owner, they managed to squeeze us in. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway!

The location is ideal - within walking distance of everything important. George ensured there was a parking place right outside the house. He was very welcoming, friendly, very attentive (possibly almost too attentive for our taste). Prosecco on arrival was a nice touch. The breakfast was excellent, too - a good range of fruit and berries, a great cooked breakfast.

We would have preferred a slightly lighter touch. It was nice to have the empty prosecco bottle removed from the room while we were out the first time, but a bit over the top to have the complimentary chocolates re-positioned on our bed after we had moved them off the bed!

George is a great host and his attention to detail is 100%. Wine & Beer were offered upon our arrival along with Tea, coffee and chocolate biscuits. Because it was a Friday night George kindly recommended a place to eat and booked it all for us. Such a kind jesture, thank you once again. Upon our return there were chocolates on our bed, but the following morning we experienced the best cooked breakfast we have ever had! Prior to tucking in, there were fresh strawbs, blueberries, grapes, nuts, cereals, yoghurts, milk along with a selection of various juices plus a choice of teas, coffee, toast and jam. The room was very clean, tidy, quiet, and well equipped. It made it a really enjoyable 3 day break. Thank you a million times George and we would thoroughly recommend anyone to visit.

Amazing from start to finish, George was the most perfect host, nothing was too much trouble. Lots of niceties & added extras, recommendations & tips for the town. Beds were extremely comfortable, room perfect for our stay & bathroom was beautiful with a great hot shower. We would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a weekend away in Chester, it was super close to all amenities & great to park right outside the property, thank you so much for a wonderful stay, Emma & Dale.
