Property was in great location, check in was easy and staff were very helpful. Beds were comfortable and room was clean.

I’ve stayed in various Leonardo hotels across the UK, unfortunately this one was my least favourite. Although comfy and clean, the room felt very dark, and there was no bottled water like we’ve had during other stays. Check out was 11am, however we had staff walking in at 10:05 despite us still being in the room.

Lovely spacious rooms. Quiet even though outside wasn't!! Breakfast very good self service can get a bit squashed with not enough space.

The coffee corner/ cereal...too small. Pls move coffee area somewhere else!! Everyone wants a hot drink in the am...it needs a re think for layout pls. Sat eve the kitchen had many favourite items unavailable, we decided to eat out instead. PARKING!! we looked around & found how to manage 48 hours but the grovenor closes at 6 & opened late on the bank holiday Monday.. ie 10am. It's difficult to access outside of those hours..maybe the hotel could come to an agreement with nearby alternatives..the car parking added another £25.00 to our stay.

The hotel was very clean, comfortable, modern and centrally located (next the the Grosvenor Mall to the walk to the main shopping street of Chester). We would definitely recommend the hotel for a stay in Chester. The train station was only 10 minutes away by taxi. We walked everywhere in Chester. Our bedroom was upgraded to a larger room with a double bed and single bed, and a large bathroom with a bath. It was perfect! The restaurant served a delicious breakfast which was included in our stay. The hotel had complimentary water with fruits in the reception area. Reception staff were very accommodating, booking taxis and storing our luggage until check in. We enjoyed the air-conditioning in our rooms, and the beds were comfortable. The rooms were quiet. (not much view outside)

The only suggestions are: that we would have liked two rooms like ours (larger one, with a double and a single bed), and the pillows weren't comfortable. The second room was small, with a small bathroom.

Good location, nice welcome from friendly staff, comfy beds and great shower. Lovely tea tray in the room. Decent choice of breakfast in the restaurant which had a nice ambiance and food was good quality.

Signage upstairs was confusing, we wandered around several times over the course of our stay trying to find the lift/stairs. Room was a triple which was too big for us as a couple, and the decor was a little tired with frayed carpet edges and damp bubbles on bathroom walls needing attention. We went to breakfast at 9.30 (it finishes at 10.30) and there we’re just a couple of small pastries left, so I asked if more were being brought out but was told that was it which was disappointing.

The reception and bar area is lovely and a really nice space to pass the time. Staff are great and go out of their way to help you. The location is ideal, right in the centre of the city but the rooms are very quiet. The hotel offers a 50% discount at pepper street car park which is directly opposite the hotel. I’d definitely stay here again.

Breakfast was very poor. Cheap ingredients, stale pastries and bread, cheese that was rubbery and curling up at the edges fruit juice that was just unpleasant. It’s a shame as the hotel offers a 4 star service but is let down by breakfast.

The staff was very nice and welcoming, and they tried to accommodate me as much as possible. The room was very clean, and I was greeted with a smile wherever I went. I felt comfortable and enjoyed being there.

The breakfast was somewhat expensive for what it offered, costing around £13. It was merely an open buffet of English breakfast with a few other small items. If you had that at a restaurant, you would get a full-blown breakfast. From that perspective, if you are in a rush, it might suffice, but I wouldn't say it was a great value for money in terms of choice.

Nice property the staff on reception were lovely and the breakfast staff too, the room was lovely and comfortable, cleanliness could have been a bit better as litter was left in the room I think they forgot to move the bag and it was left at the side the toilet bin wasn’t emptied all the time we were there it’s a shame as it let the stay down a little . Otherwise would highly recommend this hotel as it is in a prime position for all the eateries and shops of Chester. Would definitely book again.

Spotlessly Clean.. Staff Very Happy & Friendly whilst being Professional, nothing was too much trouble for them.. Breakfast was excellent..would definately return again & would recommend your hotel to family & friends

I wouldnt say we didnt like , As our Room was really lovely , it would just be good if there could be a twin room with 2 single beds & a walk-in-Shower, as opposed to a Twin Room with a Shower over the Bath, as we re in our 70s & are petite , my friend is only 4ft 10ins, & i am only 5ft tall, the bath was quite high to climb into to have a shower,

The breakfast buffet was excellent. Proximity to great restaurants was brilliant. Despite being in the city center our room was very quiet. The bed was very comfortable. All the staff we met were very friendly.

The in tub shower was a pretty high step in , not great if you had any mobility issues (which we did not). You should be aware that parking is in a shopping center carpark, out of hours access is a little bit tricky, walking up the same access road as the cars. But it is secure and convenient, and not too expensive, 10GBP for overnight at the time of this review.

Ideal location, right in the middle of Chester and easy to get to from the station. Staff were polite and helpful and checking in was easy enough. Card scanners on the lifts give added security to guests. Rooms are cleaned regularly and well, and there is a decent sized TV with the option to connect with your phone and stream films etc. Took me a while to get the hang of that but got there eventually! Point to note - this is a former Premier Inn and the rooms therefore are of that type.

I had the breakfast on the first day. It was okay but I've been advised to go low-carb, so more eggy options for example would have been nice. The ingredients on offer for the cooked breakfast could have been hotter. Would maybe have gone for the breakfast on more days but having to watch my diet. Also like everyone else I have to battle the cost of living at the moment and found it a little expensive at £13. There was air-con in the room but the nights were still very warm. I find it difficult sleeping on top of the duvet without a cover so a spare sheet would be helpful.
