Property was in great location, check in was easy and staff were very helpful. Beds were comfortable and room was clean.

I’ve stayed in various Leonardo hotels across the UK, unfortunately this one was my least favourite. Although comfy and clean, the room felt very dark, and there was no bottled water like we’ve had during other stays. Check out was 11am, however we had staff walking in at 10:05 despite us still being in the room.

The location of the Leonardo Hotel in Chester was perfect. We visited with friends and the central location was exactly try what we wanted. Close proximity of restuarents and bars and all of the main places of interest enabled us to travel around the city on foot. We walked the city walls and took a hop on, hop off bus ride. We dined at the Salt House and at Artezzan, both of which were fabulous. The hotel did not have parking facility however there was plenty of parking close by so not a problem. Breakfast was included in our room rate and there was a good selection of cereals, cold meats, cheeses and a full English if ypu wanted it. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful.

I don't not like leaving my car overnight in a public car park but there were no problems and the fee of £10 for 24 hours was not extortionate. We did not have a view from our room window however we had plenty of space and the bed was comfortable. All in all we had a great stay in Chester at the Leonardo.

Great location and convenient for shops, cafes, and bars. The breakfasts were very good. The Grosvenor multi-storey car park is also very close with a £5/day saving from the hotel.

The restaurant in the evening was not good. It was very quiet, yet we had to wait an hour for our meals. When they finally arrived, the 2 medium steaks were burnt on the outside and very dry, and the steaklet was pink as we asked for, but it was stone cold. I called for the waiter and showed her the steaks were all cold and not eddible. The front of house staff were very good, waiving the Bill, but by then, it was very late and was too late to go elsewhere. So we left hungry that night! All this is fixable, and I would still book a stay at the hotel.

Super staff, very welcoming and helpful. Our room was the standard double but it suited our needs and was quite adequate for a one night stay. Plenty of choice at breakfast. Everywhere was beautifully clean. Very good value considering it was Race Day. Excellent location..

Further away from the train station than we anticipated. We followed the hotel's directions but got a little lost; chose a taxi for our return journey (£4.90). After a tiring day, and a late check in, decided to finish our evening with a couple of drinks in the hotel bar. We only had one - VERY expensive - such a shame.

Lovely spacious rooms. Quiet even though outside wasn't!! Breakfast very good self service can get a bit squashed with not enough space.

The coffee corner/ cereal...too small. Pls move coffee area somewhere else!! Everyone wants a hot drink in the am...it needs a re think for layout pls. Sat eve the kitchen had many favourite items unavailable, we decided to eat out instead. PARKING!! we looked around & found how to manage 48 hours but the grovenor closes at 6 & opened late on the bank holiday Monday.. ie 10am. It's difficult to access outside of those hours..maybe the hotel could come to an agreement with nearby alternatives..the car parking added another £25.00 to our stay.

Good location, nice welcome from friendly staff, comfy beds and great shower. Lovely tea tray in the room. Decent choice of breakfast in the restaurant which had a nice ambiance and food was good quality.

Signage upstairs was confusing, we wandered around several times over the course of our stay trying to find the lift/stairs. Room was a triple which was too big for us as a couple, and the decor was a little tired with frayed carpet edges and damp bubbles on bathroom walls needing attention. We went to breakfast at 9.30 (it finishes at 10.30) and there we’re just a couple of small pastries left, so I asked if more were being brought out but was told that was it which was disappointing.

The hotel was very clean, comfortable, modern and centrally located (next the the Grosvenor Mall to the walk to the main shopping street of Chester). We would definitely recommend the hotel for a stay in Chester. The train station was only 10 minutes away by taxi. We walked everywhere in Chester. Our bedroom was upgraded to a larger room with a double bed and single bed, and a large bathroom with a bath. It was perfect! The restaurant served a delicious breakfast which was included in our stay. The hotel had complimentary water with fruits in the reception area. Reception staff were very accommodating, booking taxis and storing our luggage until check in. We enjoyed the air-conditioning in our rooms, and the beds were comfortable. The rooms were quiet. (not much view outside)

The only suggestions are: that we would have liked two rooms like ours (larger one, with a double and a single bed), and the pillows weren't comfortable. The second room was small, with a small bathroom.

The reception and bar area is lovely and a really nice space to pass the time. Staff are great and go out of their way to help you. The location is ideal, right in the centre of the city but the rooms are very quiet. The hotel offers a 50% discount at pepper street car park which is directly opposite the hotel. I’d definitely stay here again.

Breakfast was very poor. Cheap ingredients, stale pastries and bread, cheese that was rubbery and curling up at the edges fruit juice that was just unpleasant. It’s a shame as the hotel offers a 4 star service but is let down by breakfast.

Only a 1 night stay but it was lovely. The reception staff are welcoming, friendly & informative. The room (we upgraded to a room with 2 king size beds) was quiet, large, clean and the beds were super comfy including the pillows. The bath was also great, it filled up in no time. Breakfast was good, tasty, with plenty of choice We stayed in room 246

Nothing. (Although a couple of easy chairs in the room would have been nice, there was enough space for two)

Nice property the staff on reception were lovely and the breakfast staff too, the room was lovely and comfortable, cleanliness could have been a bit better as litter was left in the room I think they forgot to move the bag and it was left at the side the toilet bin wasn’t emptied all the time we were there it’s a shame as it let the stay down a little . Otherwise would highly recommend this hotel as it is in a prime position for all the eateries and shops of Chester. Would definitely book again.
