The rooms were immaculate, and spacious with the most amazing shower and comfortable bed. We were delighted to have a balcony room, so nice to sit out with a coffee in the morning. Great amount and selection of teas and coffees, showering products, even hairdryer, iron and ironing board within room. Staff were so helpful, especially reception staff who were knowledgeable about area and transport links into Liverpool, they were even able to source a spare phone charger. Called us taxis when needed and just so easy to deal with. Great value for Money.

No plug sockets near bed for phone chargers but small detail.

Room was nice spacious all we needed and very clean. Good hospitality tray. A very Comfortable bed and pillows we were very happy with it. The reception staff were pleasant and efficient. The location was excellent just a short walk to the town centre

Breakfast lst morning very nice. Second morning not good at all hotel was busier but not crowded. I wondered if there was a class system. Some of the tables had cloths others did not. Guests at the side of us and behind us had staff fussing all over them making sure they had plenty of coffee toast etc. We waited 25 minutes for our breakfast and it was dry the bacon was like rubber it had obviously been left sitting under lights for a long time the eggs were hard so different from the day before. We asked for another coffee and waited eight minutes for it whilst others l mentioned were served almost immediately. So were we the poor relations it certainly felt like it.

High standards modern clean decor interior lovely, nice large room hotel felt spacious . Nice views, excellent breakfast choice. I had the vegetarian one, which had a mock black pudding! All delicious & staff pleasant. Restaurant spacious and comfortable. Soft furnishings made for a quieter but friendly atmosphere. Very relaxing.

We had booked in for a special 60th birthday at the hotel. The food was really lovely & delicious. However, it seemed understaffed as the waitress was also on the bar, and we weren't attended to for drinks. We would likely have spent much more, but we had to wait for passing waiters, which seemed few and far between! So I think the hotel lost out by at least 2 additional rounds of drinks per 20 guests/ tips. Maybe not many staff on if not a race night? Not much of an atmosphere . . . A bit of music and a bit of cake with a candle can make a big difference for a celebration. It felt more of a business atmosphere.

We checked in a bit early to decorate the room for a 18th and the corridor floor carpets were filthy, I stayed about 3 years ago and the room looked a bit dated now from when I used to stay. I booked for my son and his girlfriend

Lovely stay again, few things that need addressing tho- The carpet between the bedroom and to the bathroom there is a cheap separation barrier on the floor that quite the trip hazard Also the bar closes promptly at 10.30pm as we returned for a couple of drinks at the end of the evening after a meal to be told that it was last orders and then we were reminded 20 mins later that they were closing and to finish up. Not an ideal scenario really to be rushed out the door So if you expecting a later bar then you’ll need to stay in town Bottle water (and it’s a very small one) is £2.50 in the room and they leave 1 towel out and you have to go find the spare one in the wardrobe

Decent hotel, took a while to find our room as the signs on the glass didn't match the wall signs. Room was a good size, nice view. Peaceful and quiet. I found the bed too soft and others in my group felt the same. This was worse for me given I was suffering with a bad back at the time. Facilities were good, iron, ironing board, toiletries, tea, coffee, kettle etc. And oreo biscuits 😋

£2.50 for a little bottle of water. Needless to say I didn't have any. On check in when asked if we would like breakfast I asked how much and was told £18. I was not advised this was each. Once charged I noticed but I cancelled without quibble. I was told by friends it was very nice but as I am not a big eater this seemed a little steep to me. Not enough parking however we managed to park directly over the road at the Crown Court for £5, had we been a bit later I think it was actually free

The room was spotless and provided everything I needed, especially the fantastic tea and coffee setup. I was happy to see the gym was also well-stocked with modern equipment. Arriving by car was hassle-free, thanks to the convenient hotel car park leading straight to reception, where I received a warm welcome. Overall, the hotel lived up to my expectations.

The weather! That wasn't too great when I stayed, but the staff were very helpful in directing me around Chester when asked for directions.

The property is very good in all the right ways,modern,location,staff,food,all very good.......

A big problem is that when you book the hotel the site advert states on site parking, then after you book the reservation and pay you then get the emails telling you that this will cost you £20 a night, this is something that should be made clear before any booking is taken as this is a major factor of a booking and would be a big issue in most cases as other hotels in that area offer free on site parking.

Fabulous location overlooking the famous racecourse. The room was significantly bigger than normal hotel rooms and yet it was only a standard twin. There was a second door so I suspect it can be booked as conjoined rooms. This would be a great option for a family. The breakfast was table service which is a welcome change from tired and wilted buffets. Unfortunately, the tapas style evening meal in the bar was disappointing as there were very few gluten free options, also it was not comfortable eating food on what was, in effect, a bar table

It was clean, friendly and secure and the location was only a few minutes walk from the center of Chester. Facilities in the hotel were good and the food, especially the breakfast, was excellent.

When we arrived back at the hotel after an evening out, we found our room heating wasn’t working. We contacted reception who explained they could control it remotely. It took about 20 minutes for any warmth to come through, which might not seem long but we had been out in -3 degrees and had hoped to warm up quickly when we arrived back. I’m not sure why the heating would be turned off remotely. The shower room was very modern and stylish, however the shower wasn’t fitted with a grab rail which I would have liked.
