Scott on reception was superb- greeted us with a huge smile and a warm welcome. Carried all our luggage into our room and was very pleasant during our fabulous stay. Well done Scott from the four of us 👌

Great location, short stroll to all the main attractions and amenities. Initially we were given a room on the top floor, which proved difficult to access due to mobility issues. Reception team managed to change the room for us, which was much appreciated. The hotel has been renovated since my previous stay and the bedroom was modern, fresh and spacious. The shower was nice and hot with complimentary toiletries provided. Breakfast was freshly prepared and plentiful. The staff team are lovely, really friendly, welcoming and attentive.

Missed the camper van!

Breakfasts were excellent, including lovely plant based meals; with soy milk for coffee & cereal. Staff were very solicitous and helpful. Central location of the hotel right on Lower Bridge street. Room was spacious and newly updated.

The bathroom shower is a dangerous menace: the floor is extremely slippery, and someone will slip and be harmed. There is a pressure dial and a temperature dial, and they are confusingly mislabelled! The pressure dial has "cold" on it, and the temperature dial has "econ" on it. That's if you can read them at all -- the print is in dark red/dark green on a black background. Finally, we reserved 2 twin beds, and confirmed 2 twin beds, but what we got was a child/single bed and a king size bed. Also, there is no closet/wardrobe, just 4 hangers on the wall, for two people.

As a family of 6 we struggle to book hotels to fit us all in. We were delighted the Townhouse had a room big enough for us all! We hired the party pad and it was perfect for our stay. The staff were all fabulous. The breakfast was lovely. There were things in the hotel to do such as a pool table, mini golf for the kids and the staff kindly brought some colouring activities for them too.

The only down side I would say is I think the rooms should have a refrigerator. During our stay my daughter was on medication which was required to stay in a fridge. Our room didn’t have one but luckily we had our own mini travel fridge.

We stayed here for one night for our wedding anniversary. Our room was very comfortable and cosy and the bathroom particularly was spotlessly clean. The cooked breakfast was absolutely delicious. The hotel is in a very central location and convenient for parking overnight in the Grosvenor shopping centre car park. Our room was at the front of the hotel so there was a lot of noise from the street but we expected that from a city hotel. Our son’s room was at the back of the hotel and much quieter. Overall we thought the hotel was excellent and would love to stay here again in the future.

The property is located in a fantastic area, it is very modern and clean and the staff were really friendly and so good with our little girl. Will definitely stay here again when we next venture to Chester

I’m finding it difficult to fault in all honesty! For us being on the top floor with no lift was a little difficult with a toddler and luggage when we first arrived but with that being all I have to twist about shows how great this hotel is! One thing I would say is that parking was a little tricky, the car park where you got a discount to park was so unbelievably tight and when we had a day out we came back to find it was full so had a bit of a stress but there is plenty parking around.

Hotel was great value, clean and location was great. Staff were excellent and could not be more helpful. A member of reception staff helped with cases on arrival and we were able to check in sooner than we thought. a lady member of staff also helped with cases going downstairs on leaving. Had a problem with shower temperature but again, on asking it was sorted very quickly and efficiently. Hats off to all the hotel staff

The room was a little too hot but the weather was very humid and being near the top floor out room retained the heat but a fan was provided which certainly helped.

Our room and all the areas were well kept and exceptionally clean. We had a dog friendly room and there was a dog bed and water bowl provided. The hospitality tray was well stocked with tea, coffee and bottled water along with complementary biscuits. The breakfast had various choices with something for everyone and was also very well presented.

There were some squeaking floor boards noise from above and in our room but as it's an old building it was expected. On leaving I did mention to the receptionist that the plug socket was too far away from the mirror when drying your hair but wasn't a big issue as we were only there for two days. None of the above would stop us from staying in the future.

Perfect location! The hotel was spotlessly clean, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable, making it easy to relax. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options – whether you prefer a hearty cooked meal or a lighter continental choice, everything was well presented and catered for. We will definitely stay at this hotel again .

If anything, slightly softer pillows would have been nice, but beyond that we truly have nothing to fault.

Fantastic location for shops, restaurants & walks as close to the riverside as well as the centre. Staff were all very polite & helpful & gave us tips on places to try that we hadn't been to before. Secret garden at the back is a great suntrap in the day if you dont want to move.

The single beds are very narrow & there wasn't really any wardrobe space to hang more than a couple of things. There were 4 x ladies in our room & impossible to hang our clothes up- need a proper wardrobe or an extra hanging area in the room
